Dr. Brown is the most professional and personable doctor I've ever had. After he removed the numerous floaters from my eyes, my vision is better than ever. It's nothing short of miraculous. I highly recommend him. In fact, I'm trying to talk my sister into flying here from Washington state to have the same procedure. Dr. Brown is so impressive, he is the only person I would allow to work on my eyes.

Dr Brown is by far one of the best ophthalmologists I've seen. I've seen quite a few since I am a type 1 diabetic for over 30yrs .Dr Brown is very patient with you ,very educated and takes his time to make sure you are as comfortable as can be before doing any procedures. Don't be shy or embarrassed to ask any questions .As Dr Brown told me "no question is a dumb question .These are your eyes and we both want what's best for them. Hearing him say that made me feel even more certain I am in the right place ! His staff is just as nice too .Which makes the visits even better .I highly recommend Brown Retina Institute for all your eye care needs.

The procedures with dye and a shot in the eye were tortuous, but necessary. The technicians and dr. Brown made me as comfortable as possible during and after the procedures. My only concern is that there are no phone numbers to reach dr. Brown after office hours. Both numbers on the sheet shared with me as emergency contact numbers for the office. I hope this is corrected. Otherwise, dr. Brown and his office are excellent.

Dr. Brown has been treating me for macular degeneration (wet) for 6+ years. There has been a small amount of improvement in my vision, but the best thing is that the macular degeneration has not progressed at all. Dr. Brown explains everything is 'plain English' so I understand everything he does. And, I cannot say enough about his staff. His technicians and clerks seem very competent and proficient. Everyone at Dr. Brown's office are always cheerful and uplifting. I would recommend Dr. Jeremiah Brown with 5 Stars

I'm disappointed, staff members are rude and unprofessional, with an appointment for a retina exam, I had to wait 2.45 hours before I could see Dr. Brown. This was a waste of time and money, Dr. Brown was not friendly. very cold and not informative.

We have an autistic son, age 26, who had a detached retina. We never knew when it happened because with his disability comes , lack of communication. We discovered it at a routine eye appointment, by our ophthalmologist. It was an old injury, no one knew when it happened. I found out about Dr. Brown from a friend , whose husband used Dr. Brown, and spoke very highly of him. Dr. Brown is very skilled and capable! He performed two surgeries which right now have retained his retina. I knew my son would not understand all the special guidelines to recover, such as hold your head down, take it easy for a while, etc.Dr. Brown understood this and decided he had to perform a more delicate, and stronger method of surgery, so he used the buckle and oil surgery. Time will tell what kind of vision our son will regain, but the type of surgery Dr. Brown performed is what I would call miraculous. Any vision he regains will be thanks to Dr. Brown. I am so grateful we had a friend who knew Dr. Brown and his work. Dr. Brown has MANY accolades and achievements, but to help an autistic man, with little to offer in life, but joy and love to his family and friends, is a man of great integrity. He and his staff have been so kind and supportive in many ,many, ways. I would recommend him 5 stars..... not just from his great achievements as a doctor, but also from his great kindness, and care for his patients.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Dr. Brown is a pleasant Doctor to work with for these eye procedures. He comes across as very polite and professional person. Unfortunately, this is a false front. His practice falls very short ETHICALLY when it concerns their backdoor billing practices. We had to ask for billing amounts several times throughout this process. And through this entire process we were told one amount and then charged a significantly higher amount at every visit to their office. This was extremely fruatrating. I can completely understand an error of a few dollars here and there. However, there is not any excuse for surprises in billing of $200 to $600 at every visit. Espicially when this process calles for half a dozen or more visits. I have owned my own business for over 10 years and have never treated any client like Dr. Brown's office treated our family. His admisitrative staff is either ignorant and should be replaced. Or, his staff is following his direction in following UNETHICAL practices. If the latter is the case, then Dr. Brown should be stripped of any medical licenses and should not be allowed to work in this field. Fortunately, I have been very blessed and I am able to pay these "surprise" billing amounts for each visit. But the money is not the issue here. The issue is the UNETHICAL practice of backdooring clients with surprise billing and then trapping clients into a procedure that must be taken to completion. Halfway through the process I wanted to leave and go to a different physician. We were told that we could not do this. That Dr. Brown had to take the process to completion. This is called "Trapping" a client. I have been planning to have my eyes worked on in the upcoming year. And I can assure you that I WILL NOT be coming to Dr. Brown's office for any procedure. And I hope that others in the San Antonio area read this and take extreme caution in dealing with his office. I refuse to supoort any business that uses "UNETHICAL" practices in billing to trap their clients into any service.

Dr. Jeremiah Brown is off the charts wonderful, professional and compassionate towards his patients. He saw my mom, she was going blind in both eyes due to a macular Pucker/hole. Dr. Brown took time to explain everything in a way that we would all understand it. I am a registered nurse and I want the absolute best care for my Mom and she received it from Dr. Brown. His office staff in Schertz is equally wonderful. I live out of state and I had a bunch of questions, since I am on my Mom's hippa list, they took the time to answer my questions and called me back in a timely manner.
