Coming from NY, I have very high standards for doctors and medical practices in general. However, after my first visit to Advanced Eye Care I was beyond impressed with the level of service, care and professionalism that I experienced with Dr. Shafron and his wonderful staff. I have never had a more through and complete medical eye exam. This practice is outstanding. I highly recommend!

Worst reception I have ever seen. I had an appointment at 3:30 and I came at 3 finished all the papers three minutes before the appointment. I have been waiting now for almost 2 hours and they are telling me that they have other people ahead of me. The conclusion DO NOT TAKE ANY APPOINTMENT WITH THIS office other wise you will regret it.

I read the other reviews but I had no issue with the office staff. They were nothing but kind on the phone when I needed to set up an appointment for the first time and greeted me when I came in for my appointment in a very friendly and welcoming manner. Very happy with the customer service here and would encourage those new to the area and needing to find an eye doctor to give this office a chance.

This place charged my 91yr old grandmother over $700 for 1 pair of glasses!! Then they called the eye exam two different things to get more money. AND the prescription wasn't even correct - we had to go back for a 2nd exam! Should've listened to the other poor reviews! Do not go here - RIP OFF!!!!

These people are GREAT. My wife and I are both in our early 70s, and have been going to eye doctors pretty much all our lives. Dr. Eckhart and his staff are simply phenomenal!! The office atmosphere is very friendly, yet professional, and the staff members, from being greeted by Laura, or one of her compatriots, to the check-out is just a very pleasant experience. For the past four plus years my wife could not read a newspaper or magazine, or anything else comparable, without holding a magnifying glass, and even then if was a struggle. We had gone to at least for other doctors here in Denton and in the San Antonio area, including two retina specialists, all of whom promised, "we're going to figure this out for you". They never did. After one visit and two cataract surgeries, Dr. Eckhart has restored my wife's vision to the point where she no longer needs glasses for everyday life, and only reading glasses for reading. Her quality of life is SO MUCH BETTER. Thanks to you, Dr. Eckhart, and to everyone in that office. We'll never have to search for another eye doctor again!!

Advanced Eye Care in Denton has been my preferred choice for eye care, and I have great appreciation for the wonderful doctors, particularly Dr. Shafron has taken excellent care of my vision. He is easy to talk to and spends the needed time when I had difficulty and eventually required surgery which was done by a specialist. The assistants and office staff are very professional and helpful. They answer questions and are always friendly. The office is well run. I do recommend Advanced Eye Care .

They are wonderful.. until there's a problem and then they won't talk to you. My husband and I have been going to this practice for a couple of years and were very happy. Then I had a problem with the prescription they gave me for my glasses. I could not see with them, and I was told "maybe there's something wrong with my eyes!" Really!? The office manager would not speak to me after numerous attempts to resolve the issue. The doctors were unwilling to address the problem. How do you resolve an issue when you are unwilling to talk to the patient!? We will not be going back! My advice - find a practice that actually cares about their patients' satisfaction and care. Update: I finally went to another eye doctor for glasses. Turns out my glasses were far too strong for what I needed, and that's why I couldn't see. This was all so unnecessary!

The office manger of Advanced Eye Care has been there for 25 plus years and has built a team of excellent workers who have been trained according to medical standards and office procedures. I have only had excellent care and have been treated with the up most respect going to their office. The knowledge and care from the doctors at Advanced Eye Care is greater than anyone in town. Recently I just got my sunglasses and they are perfect. I love the DVF style they carry. Advanced Eye Care has a great selection in their optical. I have gotten sunglasses and eyeglasses here and Christy and Barbie really know how to take care of you. They always work to make the patient happy. Thank you to everyone at Advanced Eye Care for taking care of me for many years and many years to come.

The Office Staff is VERY UNFRIENDLY! The first time I called them to set up an appointment, the person who answered was very rude and argumentative. I chalked it up to someone having a bad day. When we went into the office, I witnessed the same front desk person talking on the phone to patients and in person to patients and she was just plain rude. Today I had to call their office to get some documentation for my Benny Card transaction with them and I got a different office person and she proceeded to talk over me and kept repeating herself when I asked a question as though I were 5 years old. She never answered my question, told me to "HOLD!" and put me into the voicemail for the Accounts Receivable person. VERY RUDE! It's really sad because the Doctor himself is very nice and took a lot of time with us when we were there and he is very thorough.

As much as I hate to post a negative review for this company, I feel I must. Dr. Middleton is a wonderful doctor and listens attentively and has always prescribed the perfect prescription for my eyes. I could not ask for a better doctor and WILL continue to use him as my eye doctor. HOWEVER, the group of doctors need to find a new office staff. I have left messages that were never returned or acknowledged in any way. I have been put on hold for 30 minutes, 15 minutes...until I lose my patience and hang up. I have been in the middle of a conversation with the person who answers the phone and been disconnected and no call back. Sometimes the person answers the phone has a cheerful voice, but that is where it ends. It's almost comical that this is what I expect when I call. It took some time to find the right contact, so I was having to communicate with the staff a lot. I NEVER... NOT ONCE... had a pleasant experience with them. Please, doctors of Advanced Eye Care, do yourself a favor and start paying attention to how your staff is treating your patients.

I have watched the staff help so many patients, coming out from behind the counter to talk to patients in the waiting area. Over the years we have seen all the doctors there and have always received great care.

The miscommunication between their office staff and I cost me months of delay in getting the necessary cataract surgery that I needed. I ended up with Key Whitman in Dallas and glad that I did....wonderful staff and they actually care. Shame on you Advanced...reconsider your front office please.
