Everyone was so sweet and kind. It was extremely easy to make a appointment. I seen Dr.O and she was amazing! Picking out glasses was so easy. The lady that helped me was so sweet! I highly recommend them!
They are quick and thorough and helpful
I was extremely pleased with my experience at West Tennessee Eye. The people are courteous and friendly and knowledgeable.
I recently visited this office for a fitting for contacts. Instead of fitting my eyes for contacts, they decided instead to tell me many times that I needed glasses, which would cost $100 for the cheapest pair. I told them I would not be wearing them anyway so I will not buy them. They asked told me about 9 times to get glasses, and they never fitted me for contacts. They instead gave me a prescription for glasses. They suggested lasik eye surgery which would cost about $2000-$3000. I am only covered for one eye doctor visit a year under my insurance and it was wasted. It's one thing to steal my money, and it's another to let me know you're trying.
Everyone was friendly and I will go back
Great place, they keep things moving and very friendly and informative about your eyes and eyesight
All of the people except for the doctor were unprofessional during my visit today. I would not recommend West TN Eye to people who value respect and professionalism within their eye care or healthcare needs. - One of the staff members addressed me as "darlin'" or "honey" instead of "sir" or my name. - Another staff member did not seem to know how to operate the eye equipment properly. She also groaned loudly when she was unable to get the computer working, from what I could surmise. That kind of thing does not instill confidence in a patient on their first ever visit. - A staff member came into the room to apply something to my eyes, but did not inform me of what she was doing or using until I asked her. She didn't explain why she was doing it without me questioning her first. She also carelessly spilled some of the solution onto my hands, and did not apologize, nor offer me a tissue. - During checkout, a staff member took a paper with my PHI and my credit card, sat it on the reception desk and left for several minutes to go get someone. She showed no regard for personal and sensitive information being left out in the open where someone in the lobby could have viewed this. - While I waited at the desk, a staff member saw and heard the phone ringing, acknowledged it, and then decided she was not going to answer it. She even said out loud that she would let someone else deal with it. - Upon making a transaction for a copayment, the staff member did not check the credit card, nor did she ask for photo identification to verify I was the owner of the card. - While waiting inside the exam room, the staff had personal conversations that were boisterous and loud, even with the door closed. The most frustrating thing for me is that all of these issues are most likely common, with the staff being oblivious that they are presenting this unprofessional appearance for the clinic. The only reason I gave them two stars, is because of Dr. Cooper. He was professional, kind and often offered levity to the entire examination experience. He explained what he was doing and why. He gave a timeframe to expect for my eye exam, and he asked if I had any questions when the exam was finished. If it was to see him, and not for the receptionists/nurses or other staff members, I would want to return to this clinic for future eye appointments. As it is, I probably would never schedule another appointment here. 2/5 stars.
West Tennessee in Millington is the best eye doctor I come here every time when I have problems with my eyes they always ask me good questions I've been going here so long I really appreciate them they're very kind and nice they have a nice attitude and I would like to come back and visit them
The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. I love the atmosphere and the quickness of the appointment.
Very caring, honest, and knowledgable! Dr. Cooper and Terrence took such good care of me. I love West TN Eyecare
We have not had one smooth appointment since we starting coming here. They have never been very welcoming. They have scheduled appointments and called the morning of telling us we cannot be seen that day. Today we go in for an appointment (after I have taken off work to go) and the lady who made the appointment didn't actually make the appointment so we weren't seen.
It’s always great seeing Dr.Cooper. I love everything about West Tennessee Eye. Very clean, don’t take long to be seen after checking in. Doctor is very Thera with your eye exam. Thanks for always taking care of my eye care needs
Dr. Cooper is fantastic! He’s thorough & explains everything & the assistants are friendly & efficient. Can’t imagine going anywhere else.
Our appointment was at 930 but the doctor wouldn't be there till 1000 which was fine because the assistant worked us up and by then it was 1000. The staff and doctor were very apologetic, and nice so everything went well. Cudos to Dr. Cooper and staff !!!!!
Didn't get five stars because your handicap entry is dangerous. The service is very good and doctor's are very understanding with their patiences.
Dr. Reese is great! Friendly and courteous staff!
Very professional and helped me with a major issue I was having. I found my new eye doctor! Dr. O rocks!
I was very pleased with my visit on 8-24-18. Thank you Dr.Talley and his Assistant.
This review is for the Millington location, and I can't say enough good things about them. Dr. Talley is awesome, as well as the rest of the staff there.
Due to insurance change, West Tennessee Eye in Millington was listed as my new provider. What a nice and friendly group women. I would like to thank them for welcoming me to their office. Dr. O was so helpful and informative about my eye care. A hidden gem.
Dr Talley is very courteous and will take time to explain details about my eye health. I like ALL the doctors there. I have had problems in the past with insurance (UHC). But, my last few visits have been fine (I now have Cigna.) UHC insurance was terrible. I think the office has streamlined the insurance process. One suggestion.- when booking appointments, please make sure the patient is clear if the appointment is for a vision or a medical appointment. Not all patients (like me) are fully clear or understand that when they arrive that it makes a difference for insurance purposes. I highly recommend the doctors! They are GREAT!
The lady who checked my eyes at first was very nice. Of course when Dr. Talley comes in he is so friendly and explained everything about your eyes. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing help with their vision.
This is a wonderful place. My 16 yr old just learned she needs glasses. She was so disappointed. The office made her feel so comfortable and helped her pick out some really cute glasses. She will be going in for contact lens training in a few weeks.
All three of my son's and wife see Dr. Reese, and with the large search for a good optometrists we are finally extatic about her! The office is clean, the environment friendly, and there is no better place for a family optometrist than West TN Eye!!
First time there. Best experience. Office staff, technicians and Dr. Reese were very professional and thorough.
Dr Cooper is always friendly and professional. Great service here!
I will not be coming back - EVER. Nothing is right with this most expensive pair of glasses I have ever had - the RX is not right, none of the obscenly costly extras they insisted I needed does what was promised. - instead of trying to fix and make them right everyone there has done nothing but attempt to convice me that the glasses are fine, I am not looking through them correct, or I expected to much. EXPECTED to much -- I have never had a worse pair of glasses in 40 years.
I am not happy with their lack of concern or their service.
The young eye "doctor" told me in a 3 second run on sentence that I had debris in my eye, glaucoma and needed glasses as a back up. She did not once elaborate....rushed me out to buy my glasses and walked off. I am so glad I have now found a REAL eye doctor who cares and takes time with you. I will never go back. I would give zero stars if it were possible. I even gave them 10 years of my business...... UPDATE: My new eye doctor took 3D pictures of both eyes and found NO INDICATION of Glaucoma. PATHETIC......
Dr peterson gave the great gift.... My eye site no words can explain how grateful I am that I c my grand children beautiful faces again thank u
Biggest issue is with billing, I guess. Made an appointment for an eye exam. Upon arrival I check in and they asked if I was self pay. Went through a conversation of 'No I have insurance through UHC and so on'. Go get my card, they call someone, apparently they don't accept it because it is through Spectera. They're on the list for accepting providers. (Called UHC later and stated West Tn Eye doesnt accept so it doesn't happen to anyone else) Maybe in the future: someone calls to make an appt. and gives you all their information. Run it and see if you accept. If not call, or even if you do, maybe call ahead to confirm/state you don't accept. No one likes surpirses when it comes to billing and money. Yes, I ended up doing an exam because I was having issues that needed to be addressed and had already asked work to be off for the time. Other than that, doctors and staff were overall friendly. 3 stars for poor customer service, but overall good atmosphere. I can not speak on quality/accuracy of the exam as I did not get glasses/correctives from them.
Dr.Cooper was very good with all 3 of my children ages 15 and twins who are 6yrs. Nice staff also.
Friendly staff. I never feel rushed. Dr O is fantastic. She takes time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. Flexible hours that work with my crazy schedule.
Very friendly and professional environment. Nice selection of frames. Love that they have weekend hours. Definitely going back next year.
Very professional staff.
Terrence took really good care of myself and my two granddaughters ,he was very good with my girls and very professional .
West TN Eye, Millington, TN location, are awesome!! Dr. Talley, Rachel, & Regina are very professional and treated me like family. They told me exactly what I needed and didn't try to push other services & products off on me. Thank you all for your professionalism, honesty, and integrity. I'm a forever patient and will leave the docs in a box alone!
My daughter and I first visit today 4-6-2017. As I walked through the door I was greeted in a well manner. Very helpful staff. The office environment very clean and organized. As I mentioned with this being my first visit here I am comfortable here and will be returning. Thank you
Outstanding service as usual!
I can not say enough BAD about this place. If it could be messed up the messed it up. Took WEEKS and WEEKS to get my daughters contacts. It has been 2 months and I still don't have a copy of her prescription to order more contacts. Save your money and go ANYWHERE else.
West Tennessee Eye is a great place to take your children for their eye care needs. They have always been easy to work with and gave my kids the best care possible. Ty wte.
All three of my children see Dr. Reese. We love her! My kids feel comfortable and the staff is always helpful and kind. Very thorough.
West Tennessee Eye Millington were amazing and friendly. The facility were very accommodating and pleasant to be around.
I have been Dr. Cooper's patient since he first joined the practice, many years ago. He is always very thorough, thoughtful, and a true gentleman. I trust his judgement and care plan for me.
I came in on 7-21-18 for my exam ,i witnessed the new guy Terrence handling 3 patients at once who came in to pick up their glasses, i was very impressed with the care, patience, and execution of his abilities to juggle all 3 without skipping a beat as well as the time he spent with me on choosing a great set of frames and educating me on my opinions since i was a first time wearer of glasses, he's absolutely awesome and i recommend anyone to definitely seeing him when visiting West Tn eye to get their glasses
Came In to get two pair of kids glasses repaired just needed the lenses. Fast work
If I could give zero stars or a rotten tomato. I would! I have worn contacts and or glasses for 20 years so I know my wants and needs. The thing I am not familiar with are the ins and outs of insurance. My first visit this year I came into to get new glasses and contacts. They did all the normal eye exam stuff an optometrist normally does. They blew air in my eyes and dialated them. They asked me to look across the room and read the numbers. They said my insurance would only cover glass or contacts but not both. I would have to pay out of pocket for one or the other. This part is fine I knew my insurance would do one or the other. However, it would have been helpful if they could have given me advice on what gets you the most bang for your buck. Since they gave me know advice I told them I would like to think about it and I would come back and let them know to which I would apply my insurance benefit. I came back a couple of days later and decided it made the most sense to apply it to my glasses. They said sure lets look at glasses. They showed me glasses that my insurance would give me a discount on and I chose from them. I go to the pay clerk(named David) to finalize my cost beyond insurance and he says. I already applied my insurance choice towards contacts. I said how could that be? I haven't ordered any contacts. He says well your insurance has already authorized the contacts. I was very disappointed and thought wow I really screwed this up because now the glasses I had picked out I had to put back and pay out of pocket for some new glasses. So I said well since my insurance has supposedly authorized me for contacts lets get me some contacts too. So they give me a pair of contacts to wear and tell me I will have to come back to check and see how they fit. They say this is a TN law that the fit has to be checked prior to them giving me a prescription. Also there is an additional charge for this fit check. So I come back and have the fit check. Takes 3 minutes and the optometrist says they are good. Here is your prescription. So I was already in a rush and could not order the contacts that day. So I call back another day to order my contacts that I was just fitted for and received a prescription for. This is were I almost lost it. I let David know that I would like to order contacts using my insurance benefit for the year. He asks if I had used it somewhere else and I explained that I had not. That I was in a rush and could not order them the last time I was there. Then he says well your insurance provider says you have already been authorized and are now ineligible. I try extremely hard not to lose my composure here and explain all of the recent problems I have had with my glasses and contacts. After perhaps 2 minutes of a controlled rant. He says ohh nevermind here it is. So here is the deal. I am a patient and understanding man. I really really try hard to be understanding and will try to take the blame most of the time when something doesn't go right. I try to assume that maybe I did something wrong and its my fault. I don't know if its West Tennessee Eye or its just David but it seemed like customer care was non existent. I mostly blame David for this. I think he either is trying to rip people off to get the business more money or he is incompetent. I have stood in front of David at the counter and heard him complain when he gets off the phone with a customer and I am sure he did that with me today. He should be thankful that I felt pitty on the other people that would hear him complain and I didn't blast him for the awful job he was doing. I really really wanted to tell him what I thought. He sounds grumpy and does not do a good job of helping the customers. I really hope all of the senior citizens that I see come through there don't get ripped off as much as I did. I ended up spending $300 dollars more than I should have because of this business not helping their customer. I will not be going back to West TN Eye in Millington for sure.
Dr O was wonderful with my 5yr old, she made it fun while still explaining everything to me. Would highly recommend her to anyone with children!
Always good. I feel very confident with the card I get.
Doctor was informative and thorough. Staff was extremely nice and cheerful. Best place of business I’ve been in in a while. Thanks everyone.
The doctor and staff were amazing with our 8 yr old. Our son loved Dr Cooper as his took the time, listened and interacted with him. I highly recommend West Tennessee Eye Millington for the entire family!

Awesome place. Friendly staff and great customer service.
Went for my 6 year old's check up. They are great with kids. Very patient and they made the experience easy.
Very nice staff, no wait time, will be back to this office. Highly Recommend.
Everything was awesome and move me right along and got me out within over just an hour with the upmost expertise.
Great doctor and customer service. I showed up 20 minutes early & they got me in 20 minutes ahead of my appointment time. I’ve had glasses since I was a little girl so I’ve been to a ton of eye doctors. Happy to say this was probably my best experience at one! Loved it & highly recommend.
Great experience! Updated my contacts and reduced eye strain at the computer and helped my golf game too.
Good
Amazing and thorough service as always.
I love going to West TN Eye they deliver GREAT service EVERY visit! They are professional and very prompt about waiting room stays. Dr.’ and technicians explain every process so you will know what to expect. I love em!
I had what I called an emergency eye issue (20 to 30 cuts in the eye) so I did a Saturday morning walk in. I was the very first person thru the door as they opened but was the last one seen due to all the appointments. customers got seen first which I guess was the the right thing other than I was sitting in pain for an hour and a half but when dr. Cooper (I think that was his name) worked me in he was great. Took real good care of me and the pain was 40% better when I left. Thank you
I always enjoy my SHORT stay at WTE. The staff treats you like family. Keep up the good work!!
I recently visited here and I haven’t had a lot of time or experience with the doctor since it was my first time visiting, but he did end up helping me renew the contacts that I was most comfortable in after trying something different. I was thankful for that! Listening to a patient’s needs is a very important key to a successful patient/doctor relationship. I’ve known Ashlee R. (Assistant/Tech) for a long time but never seen her in action at a workplace. She was awesome, and she’ll make you feel super comfortable with your contacts measurements, etc. Michelle was very patient and helpful with getting me hooked up with copies of prescriptions and assisting with my contact dilemma, and finishing up my glasses purchase. Teresa has a pleasant personality and helped get us hooked up with frames, and invoicing. Customer service goes a long way (this coming from an HR specialist
Affordable, Caring, and Thorough ... What a blessing! The glasses were affordable on my small income. The office staff were caring and very helpful. From taking my appointment to helping me fill out paperwork (because the dog chewed up my glasses), to helping me pick out frames to processing me out. Dr. O’s exam, knowledge and concern for my eye health was awesome! What a blessing it was to find West Tennessee Eye!!
I have already recommended it to 3 people. Our appointment went perfectly. They let me fill out the paperwork at home and bring it with me. They took us back BEFORE our scheduled appointment time. Dr. O was wonderful with my son and answered any questions that he had. She was very patient and kind. The staff could not have been friendlier. I am so glad that we made an appointment here. It was the best experience that we have ever had with an eye doctor.
Very patient with our children and helpful. Highly recommend
Today April 11, 2018 and last Wed. morning. I am well satisfied with West Tennessee Eye in Millington, Tn. The office staff and my Optometrist were excellent! WTE is Great!! Dr. Talley is a superb doctor.
I've been seeing Dr Cooper for well over 10 years . Love , love , love him , his wonderful ladies in the office , eye glass selection and convenience to my home and work ❤️ the ladies in the office are always friendly and very accommodating to my schedule and needs .... and I am needy lol Dr Cooper was the one who figured out I had diabetes. When I went to him he said I was legally blind due to diabetes. He stays on top of my health and makes sure diabetes will not claim my vision . Truly a jewel ❤️️
Dr. O is an amazing Dr. Very nice and personable Dr. I would recommend her to anyone that needs to see a optometrist!!
I've been coming here and seeing Dr. Cooper since he first took over the practice. In fact I had an appointment today. Dr. Cooper is the best. He always takes time to explain things and answers all my questions regarding my eye care. The front office is welcoming and I've never had a problem with my insurance or scheduling appts. I'm in and out within an hour. Lindsey was super helpful in helping me pick out my glasses listening to what would be most satisfactory and comfortable for me. I highly recommend West Tennessee Eye.
