Had issue with hemorrhages in my eye. Went here several times had surgery to drain eye and after several visits issue was not being fixed. I went to Mayo and after 1st visit was asked why they (ophthalmology) did that particular surgery I could only answer that is what was recommended. Fast forward - Mayo did procedures that didn't seem to even be on the radar of Ophthalmology - injected fluorescent dye in my system which made it very clear where the bleeds were. The Mayo was able to find the bleeds in my eye and fix them using laser treatment In the end I called Ophthalmology talked to the doctor I was seen by and asked why I didn't get that care and he didn't have a answer blank conversation on the phone. Ophthalmology has helped me in the past when I injured my eye (cut and damaged cornea) but specialty related issue like this I would recommend to be sure to ask lots of questions and don't be afraid of getting a second opinion

Ridiculous amount of time wasted in the waiting room. They need to look at the logistics of their schedule and streamline things so people don’t have to wait so long!!!

I am SO THRILLED with Dr. Andrea McCann! She was the dr that I visited when I went to Ophthalmology LTD with my pinkeye issue last week. I had suffered for almost 2 weeks and even was told by another Sioux Falls opthalmologist that "it's viral so we can't do anything." Well, Dr McCann DID do something. She stripped some membranes in my eye that were holding infection, got me a prescription (I was in tremendous pain,) and wrote a note for me to give to the HR dept at work. I am happy to say my eyes are finally healed! If I ever have an eye issue again, I have no doubt where I will visit!

Extraordinary amount of time waiting on the phone to get an answer. The receptionist never did check back to see if I was still waiting for reassuring me that the questions were being addressed. Very disappointed as I reviewed the other comments and was expecting much better service

Very satisfied with Dr. Thomas after contacting staph infection during cataract surgery at Sanford. Sanford will have nothing to do with my mess, but Dr. Thomas has taken me on and treated my infection aggressively to help keep the damage to a minimum. Wish he would have been my doctor before this mess. Sanford won't even own my infection, nor offer any kind of help.

I have Diabetic Retinopathy (I believe thats how you spell it) But its bleeding in my retina caused by high blood sugar levels. Dr. Geraets and his staff are phenominal an super friendly. The waiting areas are also nice with their aquatic displays.

Dr. Eide did a cornea transplant/cataract removal on my right eye in Sept. Jane and the rest of his staff could not have been more caring and professional. I am going to have the left eye cornea transplant/cataract removal surgery soon and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Ophthalmology Ltd, Dr. Eide, Jane, and the rest of his staff.

I was diagnosed with PSC cataracts that grew very quickly, I was in fear of losing the ability to drive. Dr Erickson and his staff removed them and replaced the lenses. For the first time in more than 40 years I have 20/20 vision! I was told in advance that beings I had Lasik surgery (which only gave me 20/30 vision) in the past I might not achieve 20/20 vision. Dr. Erickson's calculations were spot on and I am thrilled! I have had nothing less than great service from everyone at Ophtholmology LTD and recommend them to everyone in need of eye care. The service I have received at Ophtholmology LTD far outshines my previous eye surgery experience! Everyone that I have encountered in this journey has been so helpful and friendly! I thank you all so much!!!

I have had nothing but issues with this clinic. And NOT with the doctors. They have all seemed fairly standard. The issues that I have are always with the front desk staff, the billing department and the clinic as a whole. I had a problem recently where I was charged a staggering amount for a visit. I have been to high-end clinics in both Seattle and Austin. I’ve had double the amount of tests done with double the amount of time spent. Not a single clinic I have ever been to has charged this much. The first time I called billing here they hadn’t charged my insurance properly, so that had to be re-run. I then called back, as insurance hardly paid for anything (also unusual) and asked why this bill was so high. The woman I spoke to fumbled around and said, “Well, we charged you as a new patient.” And I said, “Uhhh.. I was seen twice here prior.” She then said, “Oh, I didn’t look at your account.” Then why are we even talking!? So strange! She started to get an attitude with me, talking down to me like I’m a child but giving me no real details about the charges or what occurred. Her argument was that they charge ‘the same’ as anyone else in the area. I then called around to various eye doctors in SF that have the same credentials as any doctors here. They said they charge about HALF of what Ophthalmology LTD charges. I was upset at this point so I asked for the manager to call me back. While she was decently courteous with me on the phone to begin with, she was abrupt and clearly irritated she had to spend her time talking to me. She said they absolutely would not reduce the charge any further. She also decided to ‘talk over’ me after awhile which was so insulting. I explained to her my frustration was not only with the charge but how I was being talked over and treated. She said, “I’m sorry that’s how you feel.” That’s as much of an apology as I received. Would never go here again - find another eye doctor in the area that will charge half the cost and treat you like an actual human being.

I can now tell my story of how bad this eye clinic is....I came to them by appointment set up by my doctor in 2010, I have problems with triple vison...in both eyes..I went to 3 appointments and tests and charged about 200.00 each visit. I was told I had fast growing cataracts! and needed surgery to fix it...I had no insurance and no way of paying for this! Luckly, friend told me she had got funded through Visions for the blind services..so I went to them..got the funding.yes, but...they were the ones who told me that I should have been told I could get funds for surgery in the first place and didn't have to pay over 600.00 to the eye clinic. Well, surgery went great..paid for through funds. (skip ahead) 2015. I was having trouble again seeing out of my left eye...so, I went back to see the eye doctor at the clinic ( I won't tell his name)...I go back in and re-apply for funds at visions for the blind to go to the doctor..and they say yes, that I can go. I go to the eye doctor and he tells me I have a second film over my eye and they need to do a lazer treatement on it to fix it..okay, and the say day I have this done. I agreed to have it done...knowing I just got approved for the payment from the visions for the blind (who said it would be paid for)....next thing I find out...after the lazer treatment to fix my eye...It's NOT COVERED!!!!!! it is going to cost me out of my own pocket....!!!!! over 2,000.00 dollars....are you (Frickin nuts) ....so, I find out....from the visions for the blind, that because I agreed to go ahead with what the doctor told me, that he could fix my eye with lazer the same day...I have to pay for something they wouldn't cover...they eye clinic I later found out KNEWWWWW this!!!! and didn't inform me. They have worked with visions for the blind funding program for many years...and they don't tell you some of these things....worst part is they told me the other eye will have to be done tooo....GO...TOOO...HELLL...I DON'T ..TRUST...ANY OF yOU...YOU JUST LIKE TO MILK PEOPLE FOR ANY MONEY YOU CAN GET....so, be warned...Please, find out ahead of time who is covering your costs and DON'T agree to anything without checking all the facts.

Just waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for my moms doctor. Appointment was at 1pm they asked us to be here 15 minutes prior, we were, doctor saw us at 2:15.
