Love the staff here they do amazing work. I was terrified of having Lasik but wanted to do it and went for it this year. It was absolutely amazing. Dr Breuning and Rhonda made the process smooth and comfortable. I would highly recommend going here for any thing you need to have done. My mom also had cataract surgery done here and had a wonderful experience!

If I had an option to give this woman a zero out of ten, I would do so. She is absolutely terrible! She was consistently unprofessional, disrespectful, rude, sarcastic, short-tempered, brash, and rushing during my appointments. Unfortunately, I never-the-less proceeded with my first cataract surgery only because she had been recommended by another physician. Post surgery I realized I had been given very limited information prior to my procedure, and as I result I had no idea what to expect and/or what to watch for. This caused me to have a terrible post surgery experience. Per Dr. Bruening's discharge instructions I called her office on multiple occasions with my serious questions and concerns. The receptionist always referred me to the nurse's station, where an answering machine assured me Dr. Bruening's nurse would call me back. I NEVER received a return call....not even one. I became increasingly frightened and concerned as I was therefore forced to work through major issues on my own. When I went to my follow-up appointment Dr. Bruening offered no sympathy or explanation for her staff negligence, and then brashly admitted she had inserted the wrong lens into my eye. She had the audacity to be rude while she informed me her error could not be repaired, and that I should just learn to live with it. She flippantly stated she now had a learning curve and so would do a better job on my second eye. She then stalked out of the room! I was shocked. I went to Jones Eye Clinic for my second cataract surgery and had a completely different experience. I was extremely amazed and impressed by their extensive pre-surgery testing. Unlike Dr. Bruening, I am certain these numerous tests gave Dr. Jones the information he needed to insure he would insert the correct lens in my eye. The staff was informative, kind, patient and extremely professional. I did not feel rushed or insignificant. Unlike Dr. Bruening, I was not given the impression that the main concern was how much income could be generated in a day. My outcome was very successful. I have since talked to the other physician regarding my horrible experience with Dr. Bruening, and was assured no other patients would be referred there. Please take heed of this warning and do not go to Dr. Bruening for any treatment. There are other Sioux City doctors who actually care about their patients.

Don'y go here they dilate you eyes before testing how you can see. after they make you blind they expect you to decide what you can see best. again go somewhere else. I tried to contact them about testing before dilation but they did not reply. Beware.

Had an eye contact apt secretary said Dr Pratt. At the end, Dr wanted to know the size, diameter, and prescription my original optometrist gave me. Reason this upset me is never had an eye doctor ask, and when I didn't have it on me, the prescriptions have me on trial pair was soo wrong not only did I have issues reading words but got a horrible migraine. ( I never get migraines) called office to let them know and secretary asked for size and prescription. Asked her why I am giving her the size if they are CHARGING me for contacts to which I got snapped at with a reason to get right ones..(isnt that what my insurance company paid him 410$for?!) Soo, atlast..Highly DO NOT reccomend. I'm going back to original Hedquist and pay out of pocket since not in my network..... newest update.. still haven't recieved my receipt nor prescription from eye exam beginning of July.. actually had to call 3xs for then to email, which one staff said she 'don't know how to email. ' last call having everything mailed since cant take YET ANOTHER day off work for them to get it together.. sadest attempt of optometry and office skills I've ever witnessed..smh. Save yourself the time, go elsewhere!!
