I have worn rigid contact lenses for 23 years. I dread going to the eye doctor when I need new lenses because it takes several tries to get the fit right along with my terrible prescription. I have seen O’Dell twice for contacts. He got the fit right both times perfectly. This past time the prescription was a little off but the adjustments he made were spot on with the new lenses. I was very upset because due to holidays and miscommunication I did not get my new lenses when I anticipated, however, their manager contacted me and accepted responsibility and tried best to accommodate me. I feel like they can improve things on the office side of things but I could and would never be able to go anywhere else because the doctors there are top notch. O’Dell is professional, amazing at what he does, warm, and clearly loves his job. Thank you!

Made a phone call to make an emergency appointment today at 10:15am, got there at 11am, got an exam at 11:30am, left with instant eye relief and a solution by 12:15pm. Such a great experience and Dr O’Dell and staff were extremely friendly and professional. Thank you Southern Eye!

Entire staff is so friendly and makes the best of your visits. Long waits at times but that is expected with a larger clinic. Associates are beyond helpful and truly caring. Doctor Swearingen is very personable and knowledgeable. Contacts associate was great with teaching me new process and helping me order, including providing rebate form and working with my insurance. Close to work and home, glad I found a great clinic.

I have made 7 appointments now in order to get a prescription and get contacts. They have extremely poor communication, neglecting to call me back or notify me when trial pairs of contacts are in, and they seem confused every time what I am there for. To top it all, my prescription seems worse than my old one.

this is by far the worst place to get glasses in Greer. Their staff is majorly slow. Computer system was slow. What was suppose to be a 10 minute visit turned into an hour visit. Very disappointed in the staff here. Will take my business else where

I couldn't be anymore impressed by the professionalism and overall atmosphere of Southern Eye Associates in Greer. I've never been to an office and felt as welcomed as I do here. Dr. O'Dell is an absolute charm and takes his time to listen to your needs. The front desk ladies are friendly and made me feel like they've known me for years. My optical purchase and experience was the best I've ever had. The ladies that fitted and ordered by glasses exceeded my expectations. I'd give more stars if I could.

I was actually turned away as a patient here. I have insurance which they do accept and I do need to be examined. I previously had a severe allergic reaction to the medication that is used for dilation. They have a policy in place that dilation is mandatory and of course it would not be wise for me to allow myself to be exposed to that medication. Likewise it would be foolish as a health care provider to insist on administering a medication to a patient that has a known allergy. So technically I had to cancel to avoid being billed for a missed appointment, but in actuality I was turned away being told that I would not be examined unless I agreed to be exposed to a medication to which I am likely to have an allergic reaction. This policy obviously needs to be reviewed. There cannot be a no exceptions policy in a situation such as this. It defies medical logic to do so. So I go untreated until I find another practice that will not insist on testing the validity of my allergy prior to allowing access to a physician.

Went there to purchase glasses for our 2 yr old. Lady was very sweet and helpful and we we able to purchase the frames. Initially we were going to go to Lenscrafters to get the lenses, but ended up going back here to get the lenses as well. Best eye experience yet since we moved to Greenville.

The only Dr.'s I trust with my eye sight. The staff is always curteous and the Dr. Is so patient with any questions or concerns. They also have a great selection of name brand frames in house for your selection
