The doctors and office staff were wonderful. They were friendly and efficient. The evaluation was complete and thorough. Only negative that I had was looking at purchasing glasses. Their selection of frames is limited (and expensive). The staff was friendly and worked with insurance limitations as well. Overall, this is a good place for optometry and opthamalogy. They also address LASIK if you are interested.

My experience with Clemson Eye has been a positive one. I decided to get LASIK at Clemson Eye with Dr. Parisi because he came highly recommended by a family friend. After researching some other facilities, I am pleased I chose this group. I am one week post-procedure and my new-found freedom from glasses and contacts is AWESOME! I can drive, watch TV, and read without any assistance! My only complaint is that the financial department had a few problems with keeping records of my payments- keep all your receipts and make sure you track your checks as they are cleared. All was quickly resolved. Overall, I am extremely pleased!

The building is beautiful and the staff is very friendly but they are NOT wheelchair friendly getting into the building! There is not an automatic door opener for someone in a wheelchair and I did not see any available wheelchairs. I believe all medical facilities should make their building wheelchair accessible and also have several different size wheelchairs available!

I recently had LASIK performed by Dr. Roman at this location and the entire experience from the first consultation to the surgery to the post op follow-up visits have been exceptional. If you are considering LASIK or anything similar I highly recommend you have Clemson Eye high on your list of facilities to consider. The staff is incredibly warm and inviting and do everything they can to make sure every visit is comfortable. Once you visit you will realize why their ratings are so high - there really is no reason to go anywhere else. My vision went from -6.00 (been in glasses/contacts since I was a small child) to 20-15 in the blink of an eye (pun fully intended). This was truly a life changing experience and I couldn't recommend this team more.

I was treated like trash. Came here to get an eye exam. First time here because I saw all the good reviews. After waiting 45 mins past my appointment time I was finally brought to ANOTHER WAITING AREA. I noticed many patients being redirected to another location. A lot of them seemed upset. After waiting another 15 mins in the second waiting area I was finally brought into the exam room. Another 15 to 20 minutes passed before the doctor finally saw me. I was never asked what I was there for. I was asked what my current contact prescription was. After 5 minutes of "the exam" the "doctor" gave me a prescription. Oh wait, no it was just my old one rewritten. I was not given an option as to what contacts I was prescribed. At the end of the "exam" the doctor casually said "I'm going to give you a glasses prescription too." "Okay" I said. He didn't mention that it was going to be an extra 90 bucks. When I got the final bill (totaling almost $200 with insurance I was upset. Why did it cost so much? because without asking me they added on the costly glasses prescription as well as the costly pupil dilation (after I said I'd prefer not to have it if it cost extra. They went ahead and did it without telling me the extra cost.) Then the extremely unintelligent woman behind the counter could not quite figure out how to give me my 15 dollars change. "I don't have change for hundreds" she said... I literally only needed 15 dollars back. What a moron, I thought. Then, the contacts that I was given to try were TERRIBLE. Completely irritated my eyes. I returned even though I'd told myself I would not go back there. A different receptionist was there. Maybe she was more intelligent? WRONG. She treated me and my husband like complete trash! "So...what do you want me to do?" she asked when I told her my trial lenses were not working out. Finally after spelling things out for her very slowly she said I'd have to come and PAY FOR ANOTHER CONSULTATION. LOLOLOLOL. Don't waste your time on this place unless you really like sitting in pompous waiting rooms and don't actually want to receive eye care. If you look at yelp reviews for this s-hole you will notice that the rating is significantly lower and a little closer to the actual experience received.

Terrible! I called them to return a call for my child and the lady who picked up the phone asked me his date of birth 5 times. I asked her can I speak to the person who called me and she just said there’s 18 girls who work here. Then when I asked to speak to a manager all of a sudden she found my child in the system but said she didn’t understand his referral! I told her I don’t feel comfortable using their company and her response was “that’s you”. Absolutely terrible service! Won’t be using them ever!

I went to Clemson Eye for just a 'basic' facial. It is anything but basic! After being greeted Shelley, who is just the nicest, sweetest human, I was taken to a spa like room. Shelley took all the time getting to know my concerns and my skin goals. The facial itself was phenomenal. Over an hour of pure Bliss. I am 4-days post-op, after having PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) at ClemsonEye Greenville. As a mom to a 6-month old and working full-time, contacts and glasses were one less thing I wanted to think about, and after doing the math it made financial sense to have the surgery. PRK, in my opinion, is a more challenging procedure compared to LASIK, as the healing process is longer and more painful. However, due to the shape of my eyes, LASIK wasn't the best option for me. The doctors and staff at ClemsonEye were transparent about the time it would take to heal and set realistic expectations for immediate outcomes. To be completely honest, it HURT for a couple of days, but it was more than worth it as I am back to normal life (working, driving, being a mom to a busy baby, etc.) over the course of a weekend. Dr. Roman, Dr. Sawyer, Vickie, and the rest of the staff were AMAZING! I felt completely supported throughout the entire process and am grateful for their compassion and commitment to their patients. Several of the staff have had PRK or LASIK, and were able to share their actual experiences and long-term outcomes, which was comforting and encouraging. I really can't say enough about how great my experience has been with this team and would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering having laser eye surgery. I tried to reach someone bc they were suppose to call me back about my contact prescription not being clear. But my appt was in feb. They told me that i would have to probably pay outta pocket since i already had used my insurance. I was mainly wearing my glasses until i tried the trial silicone contacts( which my eyes do not like) it took a 3rd a appointment to finally realize that. Sunday was the only one that helped me to get the situation take care of professionally. From getting me another appointment last minute. She was very concerned about my eyes.previous to her helping me. I was hung up on and placed on hold by a chelsey before i finally spoke to sunday. First And Last Appointment This was one of the most underhanded appointments I've been too. I asked upfront when I came to the front desk how much my insurance would cover to know how much it would be. They gave me the amount and I went in for the appointment. I was rushed from the second I went back from one place to the next. The doctor half listened to what I said during the exam and gave me a trial pair of contacts before I left. There was no discussion on what kind of contacts I would like or even what he gave me. As they ushered me out the door I paid the copay and thought I was done. Now I've got a bill for something I was never informed of and a pair of trial contacts that are fuzzy at night. If you're looking for a fancy building paid for with hidden fees and semi accurate eye exams this is the place for you.

I looked at several local options and decided on Clemson Eye due to their amazing staff and technology. One big plus is that their surgeons are local and always available if needed. I met with Dr. Roman before my surgery date and then the morning of. (Many other companies bring in surgeons for the day of your procedure and you never see them again.) I was nervous to have to see an opthamologist, due to Optical Neuritis. However, my first visit the 2 sweet young ladies who took care of me before I saw the Dr were so nice, it calmed me. My second was for a visual field test. The sweet lady was very knowledgeable of her job and made sure I understood all before beginning the test. I can say they are through and you will feel comfortable with all staff. From the front to the back. You can tell they care about our sight as well as us being people who have had to step up from an optometrist. Unless you read the small print or apparently the signs on the wall, hidden charges will not be communicated to you. Verbally ask if procedures are covered under your plan. Very poor business practices.

Both my wife and I are patients of Clemson Eye and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. While my wife is a long time patient I'm a relatively new patient.
