Calling to schedule an appontment was extremely difficult being a new patient. I was told they did not do regular eye exams and was ready to be hung up on. I told her it was not an eye exam, but more than that. I was told they would not schedule without a medical record being faxed to them(they had no email), then they would call me.
I called back a few minutes later with a question and got another woman. I explained my situation again and that I wanted to fax the record in order to get an appointment. This woman felt they couldnt help me as the Dr was a retina specialist. I told her I read the doctors credentials and thought it sounded like he could help(I did not feel she had the proper knowledge to make this call).
I tried to get her to ask the doctor if he could help in my situation or if he knew another Dr. that could? But she talked over me. It took two attempts to get this out. When she finally listened, she reluctantly checked and came back to say that the doctor said he would look at the record and determine if he could help or not. I thanked her very much for her help, but did not get "your welcome" back, but a curt "Uh huh" and a hang up instead.
I decided to hold off on sending my record as I felt not wanted! These receptionists were rude and did what they could to block me and not schedule me and it made me wondered if I would have to deal with that attitude with every appointment if I became a patient there??? For now, I will look elsewhere....
