Pleasant and friendly staff. All technicians very professional but caring in their service to you. Dr. Wilton is a gem. Very through in her examination. Explains each step of the exam as she does it as well as what the results can mean for you. Very friendly as well as professional. Waiting periods are not long. Everyone there seems to be aware of the need for making the patient feel welcome, safe and receiving quality care.

I arrived 10 mins early and waited a short time for the coa to start appointment. I was a bit annoyed because I waited almost an hour before the doctor came in, I got dilated and had to wait 20 more minutes to complete the visit. Everyone is great there, but they are short on doctors, it takes forever to get an appointment and it needs to be resolved.

Appointment took about two hours all told for my son who was 5 at the time. Can't remember which doctor we saw but he was very impatient with my son. He became very flustered and was annoyed that I was not more helpful despite the fact that I had my 3 month old baby with me and had no free hands. Definitely not good for kids! The people in the shop portion were friendly and helpful though.

When I had difficulty with my new insurance being out of network, the office staff worked with me patiently until it became clear I had a medical diagnosis that could be billed to my medical insurance. This place is more of a scamming business than a practice. I went in without insurance and paid for an appt., and initial contact lens fitting and teaching. Afterward they all but forced me to purchase my first set from them and when I refused because I found cheaper prices they locked me into the most expensive brand out there and would not change it unless I came back in and got fitted again which would have been another out of pocket expense... I will NEVER go back here since all they seem to care about is making a buck even if it means ripping someone off who doesnt carry vision insurance

Their docotrs seem knowldegable enough, but they never get my bill right and seem to try to bill me for every little thing. Recently I had to pay an extra $25 for my routine exe exam, just becasue my doctor noted some vacularization in my cornea. All he did was my regular exam and told me to take out my contacts more regularly. After the "diagnosis" charge, I am now looking for a new provider. Also their billing department is a mess and never seems to get my bill right.

Had been caught in multiple lies not doing her job and talking about patients in a rude manor across the desk while you can still hear her. Shes the whole reason that place is going down hill.

Horrible. Dr. Gulibon was rude, condescending, and dismissive of my symptoms. Since another doctor in the practice had seen me in an emergency situation, Dr. Guilibon wanted nothing to do with me. When I went to schedule follow-up appointments he told the receptionists that I had to see the other doctor. Also, when I called regarding the problems I had been having before making my appointment the front desk tried to diagnose my problem and told me my issues were due to the eye drops I had been prescribed. She even checked with "the gal next to her". Since neither the doctors nor the front desk were able to diagnose my eye problems, I saw another doctor in town who easily diagnosed the TWO eye conditions that were causing my problems. Two common eye conditions that the doctors at Phoenixville Eye Care Specialists were either unwilling or unable to diagnose.

I have to echo what Laura R. described. Dr. Gulibon was arrogant, dismissive and hurried. The assistant actually said to me during the contact fitting "hurry up or I'll never get to lunch." The front desk staff is slow to acknowledge you and not friendly. They look like deer in the headlights whenever something unexpected occurs. Will not return.

My wife made my appointment. She was asked for all our insurance information over the phone. I went to my appointment. I live close by and walked and was about 5 mins late. I checked in with the receptionist and the first thing she says is the late! No other greeting. She asked for my insurance card. I gave her my Aetna medical insurance card. I thought that’s what she wanted as with our eye insurance we don’t get cards. She proceeds with telling me they don’t accept my insurance. After 10 minutes of explaining that my wife already gave the insurance and the office said they excepted it, I ended up leaving. I called my wife and explain the situation. She was at work but called the office to question why I was sent away. The woman kept taking over her with an attitude. When my wife finally said she didn’t appreciate they way she was being treated or talked to, the woman began raising her voice and arguing with my wife saying the same thing back. My wife ended up telling her that we would not be rescheduling my appointment and cancelled hers she has on Wednesday! Terrible customer service and a horrible representation of the office! We would never go back there and will be telling our experiences to others looking for eye care.

Dr. Wilton and Dr. Shechter are great. They have the expertise, knowledge and equipment to properly diagnose and plan a course of action that will be correct. Should you have an issue that requires immediate action they will see you same day. The office staff is very friendly and efficient. Office wait times are minimal. Should you have an issue with your eyes these are the folks that you want to see!

The doctors and staff seemed competent and knowledgeable, but, in my opinion, arrogant and very standoffish. After several visits I decided to find another eye care provider for no reason other than the demeanor of the staff.

Dr. Goulibon is good, no non-sense, knowledgeable, and does not seem to make a conscious effort to change your prescription every little way so they can make a sale on the glasses every year. However, the contact lens recommended to me were the most expensive out there - wasn't impressed by that. Dr. Seema Patel's billing practice is questionable. She answered a question about my daughter's eye without checking the details and I got a charge for that, ridiculous. Make sure you don't casually ask her a question or at least clarify if she's going to charge you for the question as a "medical service" whether she checks out the details or not. She is also not patient with kids. My daughter refused the dilation and Dr. Patel just threw up her hands. The office said they would not bill me, but we still got a bill for the appointment. This happened at least twice, which leads me to question her ethics - at least be transparent with patients to give us an opportunity to make a conscious decision. Although the billing office dismissed the charges in both cases, it was still a hassle and an inconvenience to make the phone call. It might be to the office's advantage to continue such practice, but if patients vote with their legs, I question the wisdom in such practice. That said, the office staff and the billing staff are very helpful. Do I recommend going to this practice? Yes for Dr. Goulibon and the staff, no for Dr. Patel.

This is who I can definitely stand behind and say they care and do a thorough job of listening to your problems and double check their results, (after having a several terrible experiences with several other eye doctor offices). Dr. Wilton is very knowledgeable and professional beyond words and truly cared about my couple issues I was having with eye sight and a recent injury to the eye area. She gave me things to be aware of and careful about and told me when to call if I experienced any symptoms. I'm looking forward to a new prescription for my glasses and confident my new prescription will be exactly what I need to see properly! Thanks to the staff who took great care of my issues and also listened carefully to my problems with not being able to see out of current old glasses.

They took me in knowing they were cancelling my insurance 2 weeks later-paid 110.00 to have someone watch me put in my contacts? A fitting is followed up by another eye exam-It didn’t happen here-Doctor was rude-because I didn’t make a laser appt-that I found out I didn’t need-I’d never recommend this place-your treated like trash if you have any insurance -

We had an appointment scheduled for 4:50pm for minor eye surgery. We arrived 15 minutes early as instructed by the woman who scheduled the appointment. Since this was eye surgery, I was required to drive my fiance, not sure if he would be capable of driving home. We both left our jobs early in order to make this appointment. We checked in instantly and sat in the waiting room. After about 45 minutes of waiting, past our appointment time, I approached the front desk and asked when the doctor would be able to see him. I was told that she was with another patient and they were aware what time his appointment was scheduled for. I sat back down and we continued waiting. At 5:53pm they decided to take him back. As I sat in the waiting room a man in the room next to me was making calls to customers informing them that there glasses were ready to be picked up. One customer had asked who was calling and if both prescriptions were ready. As the employee in the back room hung with the customer, he complained to another employee about the conversation he just had and stated, "Why the F*** are asking so many questions, just take the d*** message and hang up." Then continued to mock the customer he was just on the phone with. Since it was so close to their closing hours, I think he had assumed there was no one in the waiting room, but I heard everything and started to clear my throat to make my presence known. Now, I understand it was later in the day but every individual at that front desk did nothing but discuss how they couldn't wait to get out of there and go home. I get after a day of work getting to go home is the light at the end of the tunnel, but there is still a level of professionalism that needs to be maintained in front of customers. Bottom line, we will be finding a new doctor. Unfortunately my fiance did say that the doctor and the assistant who did his eye were very nice, but the cost to leave work early, to sit in a waiting room for over an hour, the attitude received when asking when we will be seen and the horrible ridicule I listened to from an employee about a customer, was enough for one visit. I can only imagine the things that will be said about me posting this.
