For my family of 4, NEI Mountain Top has met our needs with a courteous staff and thorough exams. I especially appreciate the front desk's knowledge in regards to insurance coverage.

Rising Sun

Tried to like them. Limited staff + limited hours = limited customer satisfaction.

Jamie Stair

Very nice & helpful. Prompt service. Plenty of frame selections to choose from.

The wife and I have been going to NEI institute now for two years. I am personakky dissatisfied with any sense of customer satisfaction. Everytime we purchased glasses from the we leave paying for the glasses in full and then mysteriously we are finding notices of additional payment required to settle our bil . I have repeatedly rewuested an inquiry into the purposes of the additional charges to get no response for the purpose of the additional charges. Also they overcharge for all frames and lense . When you walkin with insurance they find a way to charge you for the glass package the samp as other optical business plus the amount the insurance will pay. For instance if a package is 300 elsewhere and your insurance would pay 200 towards the package you package would cost you 500. So why not go to another place an pay the 300 and request reimbursement from the insurance to lower the cost to 100 for the package and then avoid the hassle of the erroneous billing afterwards? Also they have one doctor on staff that lives to prove that she is much smarter than you and any previous doctor you have had in the past. She tried to tell me that there is no way my dominate eye was my right eye. For fact it is and when I had monovision surgery performed it was the eye corrected for reading. And I mean she was very insistent that there was no way. Well I just wanted to tell her how ignorant she was but I refraine . And then I had a pair of glasses that were not properly polished leaving lines in the lenses. The optician delcared that I had exposed the glasses to extreme temperature changes causing the lines to form. So patient beware. Find another reputable optical location on the mountain to give you the best care and customer satisfaction. The only positive thing I have experienced at this location in Mountain Top is the front desk staf . Dissatisfied and no onger a patient of NEI. Save yourself and protect yourself from the overcharges and the disappointment of this place. Find somewhere else.

If I could give them a no star I would. They told me at the time I got my glasses that I had scratch protection. My lens got scratched so I called to bring them in they told me I was not covered. I talked to manager who was very rude told me it's my fault I did not get the protection even after telling him they started I had the coverage when ordering. Will never trust them

Christina Miller
