Dr Rozenbaum performed cataract surgery on the right eye and I have to say it was a very positive experience. I was a little nervous going into it as this is the first time I had surgery of any kind plus the thought that it was my eye was a little disconcerting . In the end, not only was the surgery a total non issue but I especially like the fact that he suggested that he keep me nearsighted and not correct me for distance. He said because I’ve gone my whole life not needing to put on glasses for reading, he felt I’d be very disappointed and frustrated to having to keep reading glasses nearby and having to put on reading glasses to read and see near. I have to agree with him because everyone I spoke with who was nearsighted their whole life and was corrected for distance, wish that their Dr had given them the same suggestion. They now find it annoying and inconvenient having to put on reading glasses all day. To me not only was he a great surgeon but he also stood in my shoes and gave great advice. The whole staff at Capitol Health from registration to pre-op and post-op were terrific. Even in his office, his office staff were kind and confident. I’m having my second eye done and I am very confident and not nervous at all going it done.

The name Matossian Eye Associates has for many years stood for the highest quality in all things eye care. The Doctors are at the top of their field and are always respectful of each patient. They take plenty of time and always answer any and all questions you might have. I came to Dr. Matossian's practice because I could get an appt. quickly. I have a time frame issue for my surgery....only to find out that my surgery, unless a cancellation occurs, or an availability in another state opens up, that it will be 5 months before my surgeries can be completed, not including recovery and follow up times. I don't know that anyone else could be more accommodating, but it would have helped my decision to proceed or not , with all the testing that took place, if I had some idea as to when surgery could possibly be scheduled.

By Far, The Friendliest Doctor Office I Visit & I Visit Too Many Besides being friendly, I feel the staff is extremely thorough. While I see several professionals, each has expertise in their own area of your treatment which allows the doctor more time with you reviewing your case and their findings. He came here to work part-time and was so much happier and so much more pleasant to his patients that it was like he was a different person.

I came to Matossian after my original Opthamologist gave me the wrong prescription and an Optometrist raised the possibility of Narrow Wedge Glaucoma. Dr Rosenbaum confirmed the diagnosis, scheduled surgery, in and out the same dat. The only problem i have is that,on my first visit, someone sent an incorrect prescription to Walgreens, one for cataracts, not glaucoma. Fortunately, i brought it to the surgical appt. Unfortunately, it cost me beaucoup bucks since my Medicare supplement does not cover name brand drugs. In the future, i will question prescriptions.more carefully. I will come back to the practice so i guess my rating is 4.5.

Matossian Associates is the BEST opthalmology group I have ever used. They perform tests on eyes that I never knew existed! Dr. Matossian is a dry eye specialist, a problem I have had for many years. I've always been told to just keep using Restasis. However, she does tests to see just how severe a patient's dry eye issue is. There are additional things that can be done for this condition. Dr. Matossian has experienced, competent, and caring associates who perform several tests before she analyzes them. My husband and I are so pleased that we finally found the BEST ophthalmologist in the area!

She performed the tests she needed for her exam and did not push extra tests that would have been at an extra cost I felt comfortable in knowing she wanted to help me see better and without complications with scleral lenses. She explained what would be involved and the costs a head of time so I could make an informed decision on whether to go ahead with trying the scleral lenses to help me be able to tolerate contacts with my moderate to severe dry eye syndrome.

Just recently had cataract surgery on my right eye after previously having the same procedure done on my left eye. Used to wear glasses but right now cannot use them. My now vision is 20/25. (right eye) Still a little out of focus but assume that is based on the surgery. No milky vision, objects seem sharper than ever. Dr. Diwan and the staff at Matossian are professional, courteous, and efficient. I would highly recommend this practice for your eye exam, however, if you need contacts, SHOP ELSEWHERE. There is no designated "contact lens" contact person, hence you will spend LITERALLY weeks in the process of trying demos and getting your lenses. Thankfully I am retired and had the time to relentlessly pursue finding someone to speak to about my specific needs/concerns and moving from that step to finally ordering and receiving my lenses. Many of the staff were understanding of my frustratration involved in the process to have such an inefficient system. No patient shoul have to play phone tag with staff for days or have to speak to several different people about concerns--this kind of scattered communication only leads to error, miscommunication, and an overall frustrating experience.
