Dr Ambati is a wonderful surgeon and doctor who explains everything thoroughly and patiently!! He did bilateral cataract surgeries on my eyes and a PRK on my left eye. While I was told to expect some pain and discomfort, I really had none. As a bonus, his appointments run on time except for a rare surgery that goes over time. I would without reservation recommend him to anyone who needs a surgery that he specializes in!

Dr. Ambati did cataract surgery for my mom on both eyes, he was a pleasure to work with and really listened to her and did what she wanted to make her experience/vision the best it can be. She no longer needs glasses and she couldn't be happier!

I had LASIC by Dr Cherne after wearing contacts for 25 years and legally blind without them. 24 hours after the surgery I am at 20/25 healing towards 20/20. The staff was great - Collette especially! Thank you Dr Cherne!

Received Lasik eye surgery from Dr. Ambati! Overall, the experience was positive and pleasant. The only time there was discomfort was the night following surgery, which was warned ahead of time. By the time I woke up the next day, my eyes felt like new! The site provides any medications needed for prep and afterwards too, which is convenient. I now have 20/20 vision without contacts or glasses. If you are hesitating to complete this surgery, don't! It's well worth the cost.

I am so very happy to have found Dr. Ambati and the staff at Pacific Clear Vision Institute! The testing equipment at PCVI and Dr. Ambati's careful exam correctly diagnosed eye conditions that were missed by my previous doctor. Dr. Ambati listened carefully to me and set out a plan to give me the best solution for my vision problems with my desired results in mind. I am now 1-month post-surgery ... I smile every morning when I wake up and realize that I don't need to reach for glasses anymore!

I had a great experience with the staff at Pacific ClearVision. Dr. Ambati and Collette were great and the LASIK procedure was everything I hoped for. I called three offices to ask about LASIK, time, cost, procedure, etc. Collette was the friendliest and first of the three who answered everything right over the phone. She has it down! Her over-the-phone knowledge helped seal the deal. Once I had the procedure (which was a tad uncomfortable), it took a couple of months for a majority of my dry eye to go away (and now it's allergy season - yay!) but I'm very happy with the procedure and the staff. The only thing that was a bit of a frustration were the wait times for a few afternoon appointments but I suppose that's the case with many physician offices in the afternoons. I was once kept waiting for almost 45 minutes so I learned to make appointments in the morning. Would highly recommend this office. (On a funny side note: you can't read right after LASIK but Dr. Ambati kindly texted me to follow-up a few hours after my procedure. Insert laughing emoji here. Thankfully my husband was able to respond for me.)

Went in for my first cataract surgery on Monday 4/29/19 and the staff and Dr. Cheney were amazing. They calmed my fears of anything including eye drops in my eyes, let alone surgery on them. The procedure was painless and over before I knew it. Now I’m looking forward to my next appointment. Today is day two of my new lense in my left eye, and I can’t believe what I’ve been missing. Colors are much more vibrant and clear, white is now white, and the best part is that I no longer need to wear glasses EVER!! I can only imagine what life is going to be like once the adjustment period is over. Thank you Dr. Cheney and your amazing staff. Five stars just isn’t enough.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff here at clear vision in Eugene. Very clean, professional, courteous, and efficient! No long waits or feeling like your not a priority. Their office is serene and calm. Dr. Ambati is the best. 20 min. Procedure for both eyes and w/out ANY pain whatsoever. None. The results are nothing short of a miracle. It's really amazing. If you are getting Lasik, and you like pleasant experiences, go to Clear Vision on Darlene Lane in Eugene, OR.

I started wearing glasses when I was 8 years old and ever since (I am 21) I have been going to the same ophthalmologist in my hometown of Roseburg, Oregon. This past summer I decided to get Lasik eye surgery and my doctor referred me to Pacific ClearVision Institute. All surgery is scary but I was especially anxious because I was having it done at a clinic I had never been to with staff I had never met. At the pre-op appointment, my mom and I mentioned to each other how impressed we were. The ophthalmologic team worked so well together I flowed from one pre-op exam to another very smoothly. Everyone I met at the clinic, from the receptionist to Dr. Ambati, was incredibly kind. They treated me as though they were personally invested in my health. I felt like I had been visiting the clinic since I was eight years old, rather than it being my first day. During my surgery the next day the assistants smiled encouragingly at me while Dr. Ambati talked me through each step in his soft, confident tone. I knew I was in good hands. Afterwards, Dr. Ambati held my hand as I shakily walked out to my parents. For 13 years I have needed glasses for every moment that my eyes are open. Now I have perfect vision. I personally experienced the difference the ophthalmologic team at Pacific ClearVision is making in people’s lives. It is truly miraculous.

Dr. Bala Ambati is an incredibly skilled surgeon who has done procedures on both my eyes, including a corneal transplant in one. His pre and post op care is second to none including taking time to explain procedures and being there for questions or issues. The staff at Pacific ClearVision are also top notch! The RNs, Techs and Admins are a group of skilled, friendly and caring people. Absolutely recommend PCVI for your eye care needs.
