To begin, the office staff at Eugene Eye Care were AMAZING. They were so accommodating to my schedule (especially since I just had a baby). After checking in, my son (age 24) was having some anxiety with being in the office. The nurse/assistant came out and offered him a sticker (he still wasn’t having it but I thought the gesture was really nice). Then we saw Dr. Neale. He was the BEST! He was able to get my son to focus long enough to get some testing done and was extremely patient. He took the time to answer some questions and then offered my son a sticker and a pair of sunglasses. I was so happy with the service from Dr. Neale and his staff, i definitely recommend him to anyone needing professional eye care. Thanks again!!!

Dr. Neale called me back a couple weeks after my appointment just to let me know he had been thinking about my case and wanted to discuss an idea to help me see better. We had a great conversation which resulted in him referring me to another vision specialist who helped me to see better. I have never had an eye doctor call me and be concerned about my vision even though I have a complex history. I was extremely appreciative of Dr Neal's caring and his willingness to think creatively about complex problems. He also understood the full extent of everything I have been through. This interaction was very therapeutic. The office is small and well run and a bit around the bend to find. Another important thing I heard at this office is that the patient decides when to have cataract surgery. It further empowered my decision making and let me know I had finally found an eyecare provider that cares about its patients. Thank you Dr Neale and staff!

Dr. Neale performed cataract surgery on my right eye a week ago and soon will do the left. I was extremely nervous about it. He is amazing- I am so excited about how well I see again. The procedure was fast and painless, the care before, during and since extraordinary. He and his staff are kind, efficient professionals. I am very pleased all around.

Its no wonder Dr Neale has great reviews. He is a great opthalmologist and a highly skilled eye surgeon. Dr. Neale has dx and treated two eye conditions for me. One is serious. But for Dr. Neale I would be fearful expecting the worse. But I trust his expertise. Dr. Neale has also removed a cataract from each of my eyes. Both surgeries went extremely well. I was amazed at how much better I could see . Dr. Neale has a kind and cheerful demeanor. I highly recommend him for your eye care.

Matthew is an exceptional Dr., positive, authentic, pleasing, professional. When I choose a doctor I want someone who's in great condition, in other words, they walked her talk about health. Matthew is slim, lifts weights, smiles a lot, takes a personal approach and answers your questions. It's a privilege to be in his company and care. Also all the other folks in his office are pleasing as well.

I cannot imagine a better experience and a better outcome. Dr. Neale is an extraordinarily caring, laser-focused (pun intended) and detail-oriented doctor. To be both entirely professional and warm at the same time...to be both deeply knowledgeable and a LISTENER (such a rare trait in the harried medical profession). Wow. Just wow. The surgery (quick, painless) resulted in crystal clear vision and a world more colorful than I realized. If you find you need cataract surgery, Dr. Neale is your man.
