I went to Dr. Simms because of the clinic’s reputation. I am grossly overweight but believed they could help me. After running all the necessary tests surgery was scheduled the first time and then canceled two days before it was to take place. I was told to lose a certain amount of weight, which I did, and surgery was rescheduled only to be canceled this time five minutes before it was to take place . I was told to find another doctor. The clinic continued to bill me for an eye exam and although I called several times to question the bill my calls were never returned and the clinic eventually turned me over to collections. I’ve had to seek another doctor in Portland and have all the tests re-done. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone and I would give them zero stars if it were possible

I have had only one appointment with Dr. Sims but felt very comfortable with her. Friendly, very clear in what she was explaining to me. And really look forward to seeing her in three months. Also her entire staff were just outstanding.

I saw Dr. Sims for eye focusing/movement pain that has been badly enough I've gone to the emergency room for it. Thursday I was told by my state insurance agent in a nut shell I'm screwed for coverage. He didn't apparently know what he or I was talking about and when I called OES Fine, Hoffman, Sims & Packer they said they could see me. I was distraught and upset chasing down last hopes but they calmly informed me how incorrect the state insurance agent was. I was luckily scheduled in the next day. On Friday I got to see them without any trouble. They were fast in everything they did except my wait time. Which was clearly because they see a lot of people. Bring a book or something. I'm not complaining. But they were fast and accurate at everything they did. Whole thing took about an hour & thirty minutes for my visit. It's now Saturday evening and I have glasses that let me see without the pain. If you're unsure of where to go I recommend checking these guys out. Apparently they're also famous for their surgery.

Excellent, prompt, and friendly care and services delivered by an obviously dedicated team of professionals and support staff. Dr. Sims and her assistants are wonderful. (Oh, and just by the way, with her skillful and painless surgical intervention, she arrested the further deterioration of the sight in one of my eyes.)

Dr Sims is great. Unlike Dr Fine and other physicians she runs on schedule, is very personable and attentive and provides top notch care. Highly recommend her.

Mom had her glaucoma "treated" by this "doctor" who thinks she's better than actually good doctors. She had an extremely rude and curt disposition and absolutely no bedside manners to speak of. Truly gifted doctors whom we've had the pleasure of being tended to who were graduates of accredited medical schools had amazing manners, those degreed from Harvard, John's Hopkins, OHSU, Yale, Stanford, Chicago Med, etc, but not this subpar, below average, run of the mill, and what seemed to be a Florida-online-degree-having "doctor" Annette Chang Sims. One wonders when it comes her turn to be treated for anything, karma may bite her in her useless, heinous bottom. Just an all around ugly person. I do not recommend this bottom of the barrel eye doctor for anything but your regular eyeglass exam. Mom eventually went to Dr. Neale, a genuine 5 star award winning ophthalmologist at Eugene Eye Care on Country Club Rd and is thrilled with his treatment plan and ongoing care for her eyes.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Annette Sims for her high professional and excellent medical care. Moreover, every day, a whole year after my visit, I thank assistant Ashley Martz, who is competent, knowledgeable, and devoted professional to the client’s well-being too. Ashley Martz provided me with accurate glasses measurements under the Dr. Sims prescription (that could not be done for me before by four optometrists from the other offices of optometry). My appreciation and thanks to the all personal of the Ophthalmology Office for the service.

Dr Sims is wonderful!! She is caring and proactive with treatment. Easy to talk to and listens!! She has helped me where another Dr failed to take action. She is a great surgeon and straight forward The staff are wonderful as well, very caring and comforting about my concerns. Makes for a great experience.

Verified insurance, they wouldn't make apt until I did. Waited a month for apt. day. Drove 190 miles to get there, they refused to see me because "they had not verified insurance" that was in place and verified. They obviously are concerned about nothing but $ before patients. And seems the insurance office can't do thier job. Bad patient care policies!

Dr. Sims and her staff are very helpful and friendly. I came to them last year after my previous eye doctor stopped conducting contact lens exams and I wish I had made the change sooner. They caught errors that my previous doctor had missed and were very knowledgeable and efficient. When I moved, they ensured that my contacts were shipped to me in just a few days. I definitely recommend seeing them!
