He is great . Started with him about 3 years ago. I had gone to regular eye dr and couldn’t see in new glasses. He gave me a totally different script and wow what a difference. He has both my husband and mine bison care since. We both had cataracts on both eyes and he took them off last year. My eyelids have been drooping and he tested to see what areas I could see around eyes and I failed test so Medicare is allowing him to do eye lift on both eyes as soon as we can schedule

The receptionist, Jessie, is always so cheerful and helpful. When I called with eye irratation, she got me in within 15 min. That made my 3 day holiday weekend much better. Dr. Shaver is so calm, caring and totally knows his job He consistently gives a warm handshake when he sees me and listens to my worry. When I had both cataracts done. 2 weeks apart, he put me at ease and card for me with great skill. I had no issues at all after those surgeries. With a rating of 0-10. I really like Dr. Shaver. He carefully explained all my test results to me and made sure I understood. He didn't know about something in particular and humbly searched for more information, involving me the entire time. When he didn't get the answers he wanted, he sought further. He didn't let me leave until he knew I was ok, and I appreciate that. The only downside to my visit was that I had to wait nearly an hour until I actually saw the doctor. Staff was sweet and helpful. I do recommend Dr. Shaver.

I went to Dr. Shaver about a year ago. I honestly couldn't see, it hurt so bad to try and keep my eyes open. My primary care physician sent me there thinking it was a bad case of pink eye. It wasn't. Dr. Shaver started treatment on my issues and stayed informed and kept me informed on what was and wasn't happening and what should and what shouldn't be happening. I see way way better today! Yes, I still am going to Dr. Shaver and we are still fixing things, but I was kinda messed up but I think it will turn out ok!! With the staff that he has, you couldn't ask for nicer, more helpful more patient office people.

My husband & I both are patients of Dr Shaver! We don't trust our vision to any other Ophthalmologist! My vision is complicated by Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, & Sjogren's Syndrome(dry eye). I am also post RK from 1989 for both eyes & I had Salzmanns Nodules & Cataracts. All of these conditions affects your eyes & vision. I had been to several doctors & had several procedures with no success, I was finally told I needed a corneal transplant! I was referred to Dr Shaver by another doctor of mine! Dr Shaver worked a miracle on my eyes, without having a Corneal transplant! There's no challenge too big for him! My vision is so good now, that I no longer need glasses! I would also like to mention, that everyone that works in Dr Shavers office is very pleasent & knowledgeable! I asked my primary care doctor, Emily Reed (who is fantastic) and she recommended Dr. Shaver. Not only did he get right to the issue of what was happening, he was able to fix with the laser onsite and I didn't have to travel many miles somewhere else to get the laser to fix the fogginess. I just can't sing the praises of Dr. Shaver enough, however, that being said let me tell you an experience at a doctor's visit is about 80% made by the office staff, I don't know where Doctor found these wonderful ladies - they make you feel like part of their family and make you completely comfortable when you come in. I have been going to Dr. Shaver for the past five years for my yearly checkup. I am a type two diabetic and I want a comprehensive checkup. He has the latest top notch equipment. He even takes the time to show me pictures of the inside of my eyes and explains what we are looking at as well as any problem areas that might need attention. They don’t even have to dialate my eyes to do the testing. This allows me to drive myself to see him. The staff are always pleasant and very professional. I highly recommend Dr Shaver for all my eye health needs. Eventually I will need cataract surgery, you can bet that I will want Dr Shaver to do the procedure.
