Just saw these reviews while looking up the phone number online. My husband and I have seen doctors in this practice for several years and always had a very positive experience with none of the problems listed here. I've seen Dr. San Filipo repeatedly and found her very professional, thorough, and patient in answering questions.

If there were a 10 star rating system, this group of physicians and its staff would get an 11 star rating from me. As most of us know, cataracts take a very long time to develop. Then one morning we wale up and realize we CAN'T SEE. Well I finally bit the bullet to have cataract surgery and was referred by my former optometrist to this awesome group of eye professionals. Please trust me, I was terrified to have the work done thinking all kinds of horrible thoughts. I had only had any type of surgery once before. A very long story short, I had the surgery done. It was about as easy as having your hair cut, except I got to sleep through most of it! I had the surgery about eight months ago and since have had the post operative exam and follow up. In my 60 plus years I don't remember ever having been able to see this well. My distance vision has improved so much that I can actually see to drive at night, something I had been terrified to do prior to this. I am able to see to drive even when it is raining. Then I decided to get fitted for gas perm contact lenses. Having had such positive results with the cataract surgery and the entire staff at Mid-Ohio, I of course chose them for the contacts. Oh my gosh!! Not only can I now read the small print in magazines, the warnings on the prescription bottles, a computer screen and paperwork at the same time without having to put glasses on and take them off again and now I can actually read the small warnings about medications and such on the TV screen! Did you even know that when someone wins a million dollars on an award show, that it takes them twenty years to get the money in twenty five thousand dollar yearly installments? I do now thanks to my nearly perfect vision. If you really and truly want to see better and in addition have a warm, loving professional staff care about you and not the almighty dollar, I highly recommend Mid-Ohio Eye Physicians. My experience with them was absolutely the best and has LITERALLY changed my life. THANKS to Mid Ohio

I've had an incredibly, almost unbelievable NEGATIVE experience here on March 27, 2014; huge understatement! To start at the end, I was given the drops that dilated my pupils for my exam with Dr San Filipo, if she can even call herself a professional, let alone a member of the medical ophthalmology community, and after waiting for her for exactly 1 hour, and being in the office for 2 hours, she refused to give me my exam. Yes, for real! I believe this started with their office staff, when I was asked repeatedly about my insurance (Medicaid). I had verified earlier that the office takes my provider, CareSource, as I've been a patient here, on and off, for over 20 years, and I wanted to return to this office. I've actually seen this same doc before! - - -of course, she evidently didn't even remember me. I had questioned the reception/billing person, when she asked me about my insurance for like the 10th time, and after telling her to go ahead and make me a self-pay since there was a problem, letting her know that I didn't appreciate her continuous questioning, for the same information I had already given. She brought the office manager into the conversation, who readily told her that my visit was not a problem, and that there was at least 2 answers to the problem; make me a self-pay for that day, or that I could call my number in when I received my insurance card. I now believe that the doctor was in cahoots with this office staff, and took this out on me, maybe 1) because I now have Medicaid, and 2) because I had the audacity to confront this office person (who had been at least rude to me). It got worse, as she proceeded to tell her fellow office co-workers about me; pointing me out in the lobby area, and completely violating my HIPAA rights. The doctor actually lied to the office manager, telling her the reason she refused to see me was because I said I was going to sue her. After a brief, antagonistic conversation when she entered the room, after my waiting for 2 hours!, I expressed my discontent and concern. That is when she told me she would not see me, yes, after having drops in my eyes for an hour. I was in the process of telling her about the situation up front, thinking she would want to know and because she asked how I was, when she cut me off, saying she knew full well of the situation. I then questioned why I had waited for over 2 hours, 1 hour in the lobby, and the other in the exam room, when she said, "you know what...I am not going to give you an exam today." This is when I told her there would be legal ramifications. She demanded that I leave and I asked the office manager to escort me through the back, as at that point, I really didn't trust myself to see this staff and be cordial (to say the least).

We have been patients of Dr. Koelling for many, many years, and our cataracts were recently taken care of by Dr. San Filippo and Dr. Doyle. Vince Valentino provides excellent support with optical products. The staff is very helpful and professional. Our experience at this practice has always been great, and it is nice to have this level of professional care. (Except for the field of view test, right Dr. Koelling -LOL)

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Doyle and have seen both her and Dr. Koeling to follow up. I was very pleased with the care I received and the concern they took for my recovery. The staff here is very friendly and the doctors are thorough and very personable. On most of my visits I had little wait time. Only once, when I developed an irritation in my eye (a month after surgery) and they squeezed me in did I have to wait a significant amount of time to be seen.

Staff was very friendly and my appointment was right on time!

They are worse than disorganized. They gave me the wrong appointment time. They required all my insurance information up front which was more than a week in advance. Then they said there was a problem with the insurance and "we even called them". But did they call me? NO. I just showed up and there is a problem. You were already on the phone calling them, so why not call me too? They asked all sorts of information with no privacy (HIPAA?). Avoid them. From the look of who was in the lobby, they are just cashing in on the elderly (thank you government programs!)

Always Kind, always they provide complete details. They ask if you have any questions for them to answer, I like that.

Always professional, caring service

They charged me $104.10 for a service that I did not need or ask for. I went to Mid Ohio because they claimed to perform LASIK but they don't actually perform the procedure; they call TLC and make an appointment for you. Basically I paid $104.10 for a phone call.

The doctor I saw was nice enough, but there was an issue with the way that they billed my insurance that will keep me from going back. I went in for a routine eye exam to get a new prescription and mentioned that I had a known issue of seeing floaters. The doctor didn't do any additional testing outside of what is routine for an eye exam, but then coded the visit to go to my medical insurance because "floaters" were discussed. So, instead of it being covered completely by my vision insurance, I ended up having to pay more than even a typical eye exam would have cost. I would have understood this logic if she "found" the issue of floaters. did any tests, or even discussed the cause, however, it was something I was already aware of and had extensive testing for previously. The person I spoke to on the phone was unhelpful and basically told me there was nothing they could do about it because of the way the doctor had written up the exam notes. This is something that the doctor should have been upfront about before even doing the exam instead of leaving me to find it out once I received the bill.

You can tell this place is ran by women. Waited over an hour to get in to a room. Never coming back, no one here really cares about you.

Do yourself a favor and find another office that values your time and not your wallet. If you choose to visit this place, be sure you set aside at least three hours for your appointment. I was lucky and only had to wait an hour and a half after my schedule time to he seen. /sarcasm I should have went some place expedient like another office or worse; Walmart Vision Center.
