I went to see Dr. Starr after I was extremely disappointed with work done by another eye surgeon. I had a cataract repaired that was poorly done and poorly followed up. My best friend was raving about the care attention he receives at Weill Cornell, so I just cold-called and was "assigned' to Dr. Starr. From the very first visit Dr. Starr was thorough, compassionate, and most of all-- tremendously helpful in making things so much better for my eyesight. I was in the process of filling out the paperwork for cataract surgery with Dr. Starr and suddenly I was blocked because of an online patient feedback form that I completed with less than positive comments. Do not complete any online patient feedback forms in this office.

Horrible experience. 2 hour wait, Subpar examination (he didn't check intra ocular pressure, yet he prescribed a drug that increases it) and prescribed a new drug for dry eye that is only on the market for 6 months. Don't be a guinea pig for the pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Starr has taken care of the eyes of all my family members for years. He's much more thorough than other doctors I've been to - takes time with each patient and asks a lot of questions. He and his staff are kind and very professional. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Starr is friendly, knowledgeable and we were looking forward to my husband having his cataracts done with him. The issue is getting the staff member who schedules the surgery to return calls. No call backs after leaving messages, very frustrating.
