It was my first time there, had to wait about 2 hour's for the complete eye exam!!! Maybe being a new patient is why but the office was full all the time i was there. To me having them right here in Deming is great!!! Thank you everyone from the office to include Doctor Diaz!!!

I had a 12:30 appointment and didn’t get to see the doctor for over an hour. I later learned he was at lunch until 1:00. I took my prescription to get glasses and the prescription was wrong so I had to go back. This time I only had to wait a half hour to see the doctor. He agreed the prescription was wrong and said something to the effect of ‘I guess you chose the wrong prescription.’ So I guess it was my fault, not the prescribers. I was offended. I’d never go back.

It was a great experience! Everyone is super friendly and they were great with my son! My son felt very comfortable and to me that matters a lot. He is excited to go back for a check up. Dr. Brian was very thorough with my son's eye exam making sure that he had the right prescription , which meant waiting longer for his eyes to dilate but I was thankful for that, because most places try to rush you out. And the lady in the front where you try on the glasses was so patient with my son. Over all great experience and great people!

My daughter’s pediatrician recommended she get an eye exam so she referred us to Southwestern Eye Center. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. When Dr. Petracca did the eye exam he talked to my daughter about the exam and what they were going to do. He was so nice and it made her feel at ease. He also asked if I had any questions or concerns. In the future I will definitely recommend them!

Dr. Petracca is the best eye doctor I have seen, bar none. Not only is he very knowledgeable but he has chair side manners, personality, and treats you like a patient, not an account. You can see and feel that he is very compassionate in what he does. He is the best thing that happened to Deming in quite some time. His office staff is great as well. Be prepared to stay about two hours to complete appointment. After initial measurements and checking eyes, dialation drops are put in eyes and another hour until appointment is completed. The staff is very friendly, and Dr. Petracca is professional and extremely knowledgeable. Use of technology instead of drops would speed up process and be more patient friendly. I wore sunglasses in the house for seven hours after appointment ended because of the dialation drops.

After my initial review Southwest eye center contacted me to make things right. They went through my file and found that they did take my insurance after initially saying they didn't. They brought me into the office and redid my eye test and then sent my prescription to a lab other than the one covered by my insurance. All in all the second experience with Southwest Eye Centers was much more enjoyable thanks to Dr Brian Petracca and most of the staff. Would recommend them after they took the time to set things righr

Doctor and staff were mostly good. The glasses choices were severely lacking and the individual helping me pick out glasses didnt seem knowledgeable. I also seemed to do a lot of waiting.

Expertise is very good. Facilities are modern. On the day of my appointment, I was there over 3 hours! After checking in, I waited over an hour before I saw anyone. Did a prelim exam with an assistant/trainee & had eyes dilated (30-40 minutes). Waited another hour to see main physician. Doctor did a thorough exam, it took 30 minutes. My appointment was at 12:40 pm. I was 5 minutes early. I left the office a few minutes before 4 pm.

Waited forever for my call time even with an appointment. The office was so overbooked there was standing room only. The staff is very rude and questions for them feels like a big inconvenience because its interrupting their personal conversations with each other. I would give zero starts is that was an option. Spend the extra gas money and drive to las cruces. Plus I feel like the over dilation of eyes at every appointment is mainly for profit and not the costumers benefit. Is there a need to dilate 8 years old children's eyes every year?

We were there over an hour before we got called back to be seen. I asked the receptionist if it was going to be long she said there were 5 in front of me. (Even with getting to our appointment 10 mins early) I was ok with it until people who got there after me started getting called before me. So I go to the desk and ask why there were people going before me that got here after me. The receptionist stated that her appointment was before mine. She said we were next. I asked the lady that before us when her appointment was and sure enough it was 15 mins after mine!! By this time I am mad!!! I told the receptionist that I knew she lied to me and right away got defensive and said she dident know what I was talking about and said that she was not going to argue about it. The receptionist was rude and unprofessional!! I have been going here for 14 years! I have never been treated that way in this office before!! I will not go back. We will travel to Las cruces on for our next eye appointment!!!

My eye doctor, Dr. Brian Petracca Is very nice make sure that my eyes are fine and the nerve damage that I had in my left eye making sure that it hasn’t progressed and staying the same I have gotten the nerve damage from falling and for a car accident even getting glass in my eye. But I feel like I’m in good hands with him I’ve been going to him for I think going on for years. The staff is very nice and friendly to!

Very, Great eye Dr's /Wonderful staff Very Caring, Kind, Considerate Do a very, thorough job with examinations. They make sure everything is OK with your visit before you leave. I've had Cataract surgery, they did a wonderful job, before and with all follow up visits. I've had to just walk in to have my eyes checked, after a fall, or blow to the head.....and they make room an time for me to be seen. I would recommend them...YES, A #1
