While the Medical Staff and Doctor are a 5 Star the Office Staff are a Zero. As a VETERAN it was 3 weeks after my office visit and examination and the Eye Clinic never sent a Secondary Authorization Request to TriWest for my Cataract Surgery, nor, did they send the Office Exam Notes to the El Paso VA Community Care Services. Had I not called TriWest and the El Paso Community Care about scheduling my eye surgery I never would have gotten my surgery. You need to make sure this Office Staff is doing what it should be doing!!!

My mom had her catarac surgery at the Almagordo clinic. The staff and Dr.Fillmore are fantastic. She had her follow up at Las Cruces. The staff there are so rushed and over loaded that they don't have the time they should have with their patients. That isn't fair to the staff or their patients.

Waited for eye glass tech to finish with existing client for about 15 min talking about families, school, etc. Would not acknowledge that I was there. Another person walked in and immediately was help with there glasses. I grab my prescription and walked out. Never purchase glasses there for sure.

If I could I would give this place zero stars. I've called before trying to make appointments just to be hung up on or put on 'hold' until the phone disconnects. I had to schedule an appointment for my friend, since everywhere else is busy or doesn't accept his insurance. And honestly I should have just told him to wait until September so he could go elsewhere. But it's been over an hour and a half, it's now 4:30 (their closing time) and he still hasn't been seen by a doctor. Completely unacceptable if you can't see all your patients in a timely manner you either need to hire more people or stop scheduling people.

Ruidoso Office receptionist was very rude. Also, they told me 2 weeks for glasses. I called at 2 1/2 weeks. Was told that the Lab dropped the ball. Put the order aside and forgot to fill. Alamogordo Clinic put a rush. Glasses were ready Monday. 3 weeks later but had to either wait 4 more days for it to be in Ruidoso or go to Alamogordo for them. Then tech in Alamogordo lied and blamed the Insurance Company. Very unprofessional all the way around!!!! Next year I will go some where that I will get treated better!!!

This place is the most unproffessional place ive ever visited! Went in to do eye exam and had to wear work clothes in to make sure i arrived back at site on time! Had service call that morning at waste treatment plant so my boots were a little funky i admit. But staff had hard time not making fun of the smell of work clothes worn. And one staff member made light of it to others and was excussed do to a phone call( a lie) which i had to wait for replacement( sat there for 25 mins. already) then finally was seen again by her replacement and sat for another 15 mins. after being dialated- while listening to girls complain how bad it stunk standing outside the room! Doctor commented to girls he should go eat before he looses his appetite and to dialate my eyes again since it had been so long between doses! You guys paint your own picture here but you see where im going with this! Calling insurance company to make sure they dont get charged! Had to get up and leave i was so disgusted!

I had an excellent experience at Fillmore Eye Clinic. I was seen by Jerome Nelson, who was informative about every step he took in the examination process. He also took extra time to answer questions I had about my eye health. The staff were phenomenal, going over and above what I usually experience in Doctors' offices; I had forgotten my reading glasses, and one of the staff behind the reception counter was kind enough to assist me in filling out the forms. I have a followup appointment in a year, and I am definitely going to keep my appointment at Fillmore Eye Clinic.

I was given an appointment more quickly than I expected. When I got there I was impressed with how kind and patient everyone was, especially since I had to bring my 3 young children with me. Both the tech and the doctor were efficient, informative, and super sweet to my children. Then when I had to change my follow-up appointment they they got me scheduled really closely to when I was originally scheduled. I will definitely be coming back.

I made my appointment A week in advance for December 6, 2017, at 8 AM. At this time, I was told they took my eye med insurance When I arrived the morning of my appointment, they told me the appointment was at 1 o'clock, but they would fit me in After waiting 30 minutes, they decided to check on my insurance, and suddenly discovered that they did not take my particular flavor of eyemed insurance. I took a day off of work, in part, to get this I exam before the end of the year. Now, it is looking like I won't be able to do that, unless I can find a cancellation elsewhere If you are a long time customer at this joint, good for you, but anyone looking for a new eye doctor, you better look elsewhere because these people do not have their act together.

This is the absolute worse place I have ever been. I go and get my eyes checked. Dr. Nelson states that my rx has not changed and we will duplicate the Rx that I had in the first place. I decided ok I would go ahead and get new glasses, I go and pick up my glasses two weeks later for the rx to be way off. So then they go to recheck my eyes and find out that they wrote my rx to weak for my glasses, then they "fixed my Rx" So I go back to pick them up wow it still feels funny. I told them that I did not think this was right still. They then proceed to tell me that its the material. Ok I get that I will wear them for a while and we will see. I had the worst headache by the end of the night. I then decide to call the eye doctor who does my exams every year. I mean since my eyes have not changed this should not be an issue. I find out my rx is not right still because they made them to strong this time!!!!!!! I called up there all for them to argue with me about this. I just finally had to hang up. I think it is awful that I had to call my eye doctor who is over 500 miles away to find out that my rx is still not right and will have to wait until I make a trip to Texas to get it fixed. I spent good money there for them to totally blow me off and not admit the wrong that they have done. I think it very unprofessional for the techs to come in and pretty much do your exam and then the dr comes in he does not confirm this rx is right no wonder my rx is totally messed up!!!! But to say your eyes have not changed and then to mess up the rx not once but twice and you have to call the last eye doctor you went to , to get the right rx and they still wont listen to you is totally unprofessional!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE.

Having to wait for over an hour is unacceptable. Double booking patients into the same time slot is not good practice. Not sure how they say this clinic is #1 when this goes on. It's all about the money and nothing about patient care. Shameful!
