I could not be happier with The Cornea & Laser Eye Institute and would, and have, recommended them to everyone!!! From the great staff at the front desk that greeted me with a smile and knew my name the second I walked in, to the nurses, doctors and Office Manager always made me feel comfortable with my procedure. Jen at the front desk was super friendly and answered my 100 questions, Helena and Karen also at the front desk both helped with scheduling me and answering my questions. Dr. Greenstein did an amazing job and was super patient with me and personally called me on my cell after my procedure. Stacey Lazar is super nice and answered my other 100 questions and explained everything to me step by step. Amazing facility and staff!!

worst decision of my life..let me start by saying the staff and doctor are super nice..my problem is the severe dry eye that is altering my life. i have been back to the office which is an hour and a half from my house (each way) about 7 times..each time to be told that this is not normal..and told the first 3 times to use over the counter eye drops at night..i feel that my situation is taken too lightly for the severity..i don't sleep anymore because my eyelids stick together and scratch, so i am in severe pain all day..i know that there are always risks with these procedures and unfortunately i fell into the category with major problems...think very carefully before making this decision

I did a lot of research and background check before choosing Dr. Hersh and his Cornea and Laser Eye Institute for my procedure. I strongly recommend this high end Eye Clinic because of their state of the art technology and the careful dedication that all staff are showing to their patients. My personal experience was very pleasant and relaxed. Dr. Hersh's level of professionalism is true to his credentials, and I am very happy with the outcome. All the time I spent in that clinic I felt like the center of attention and personalized care, a very important feeling for a patient of eye surgery.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Hersh. He is a bit more expensive than most doctors that do LASIK, but he came highly recommended to me from 2 friends that had gone to him. It's hard to choose a doctor (figuring out which is the best combination of price and experience). His resume is a clear indication that he is among the absolute top in the field. That combined with the recommendations I received made me decide to pay a little extra and choose him because let's face it, your vision isn't something you want to try to pinch pennies on. I had a great experience. He and his staff were fantastic, the surgery was very smooth, and my vision is now perfect. I highly recommend him.

I loved it! I just had my procedure done today and it was the best. Everyone there is so friendly and Hersh did a great job. Everything is professional and they make sure all measurements are checked more than twice. I would recommended Hersh and his team to anyone looking into it. Amazing job once again!

July of 2015 I was told by my optometrist that I have a cataract in both eye but they were both the size of a pinpoint, a dot so he felt I'd probably never have to have surgery then in March 2016 I got an horrible eye infection, possibly even celulitis. I went into see my regular doc & she confirmed it was a horrible eye infection & put me on oral antibiotics & an antibiotic eye drop. Took 3 weeks to clear up but as it did I noticed my vision was getting blurry. Worse by the day but I knew I was going in to see my eye doc in July so I just waited. After thoroughly examining my eyes he said the eye infection I had exacerbated the cataract to full blown & id have to have surgery within 6 months or loose my eye sight. I saw the eye surgeon o 9/1/16 & he agreed. So we set up a time & date for surgery. Piece of cake the surgery was & the entire staff at the BH Region Eye Institute in Rapid City, SD were so awesome I'd recommend them to anyone. Thank you Dr Kachichian for giving me my eye sight back.

Dr. Hersh and his team are absolutely amazing. I was a little nervous before going in for LASIK and on the day of I couldn't have been in better hands. I was told what was going on every step of the way, and truly felt as though everyone was very attentive and responsive to everything I asked and or needed. Even when I didn't' ask, I was given a blanket (I'm assuming I either looked cold, or may have said something) and then repeatedly asked how I was doing. They do this surgery multiple times a week and it was really nice to have them realize that it's scary for you, even though they are used to it. Dr. Hersh did an AMAZING job and I will be recommending him to everyone. My vision is crystal clear and perfect, and I am so thankful for him.

I have complicated corneas. Glasses can't correct my vision enough for driving; my dry eyes and irregular scleral surface make contact lenses problematic. When the doctors I had been using said there was nothing left that they could do for me, one of them referred me to CLEI. I have to say, in my 60+ years of life, I don't think I have ever met doctors as expert, caring, and kind as Dr. Gelles (specialty contact lens optometrist) and Dr. Greenstein (cornea surgeon.) They are not only experts at what they do, but they are thorough in their diagnoses, clear in their explanations, patient in answering every single question I have, and they never stop working to get the best result. Whether it's getting the best possible specialty lens, or the best possible surgical solution (I've had both), I just can't say enough about these guys. Perhaps this says it best: I live on Long Island; to get there, I have to take the George Washington Bridge. For 3 years now, I have willingly braved the Cross Bronx Expressway to get to CLEI. Anyone who lives in this area will understand that there is no higher compliment than, "You are worth a trip on the Cross Bronx Expressway."

Dr Hersh and his team are top notch! He is more expensive but his experience and his staff are well worth the price. I'm so glad I had the LASIK procedure. Even though I am 48 I was still a good candidate. I love my new 20/20 vision. I feel like it was a miracle for Christmas. So glad my friend recommended Dr Hersh!

Here I am 7 hours after the easy, short and most professional procedure and have zero pain or discomfort. I can see like I haven’t in 30 years and am mad with myself to have waited this long to get my vision back. The money I spent on contact lenses is insane compared to the laser correction.

I came to see Dr Chu for my mother who could not see from her left eye at all and was hardly able to see from right eye. We thought she would never able to see from her left eye all. Now she has been very good and has been enjoying reading and all daily activities. I have deep respect and admiration for Dr Chu and all other doctors in the practice.

Dr Peter Hersh did lasik opération on my eyes when I was 38 years old and made the operation so that would not need to wear reading glasses when in my fifties and am now 55 years old and still have 20/20 vision and no need of reading glasses! Best doctor best decision I did in my life! He is awesome
