The doctor has extensive experience and is very good at diagnosing accurately and prescribes the most up to date medication. The place is hard to find and the parking sucks. The wait times are also longer. Otherwise the doctor is really good in his knowledge. So I reccommend anyone having a nagging eye problem. I must also add I usually have problem giving high ratings. But this doctor is really good.

I had very bad experience,I had 11:15 AM appointment time but they called me in at 1:00AM very bad staff n bad behavior they very sending other patients inside but not me who all came after me when I asked them she replied badly n said it doesn’t matter who comes first or last will call you ,but she didn’t call me I had 5months old baby who suffered a lot with this wait time finally after all patients left they called me inside lastly.This is the way to treat patients, it was just my normal annual checkup.If they r humans at least they should understand the pain of my kids for such a long wait time.

Very good experience. Staff is very helpful and active. They have very good technology for medical eye exam. Dr. Shah also very knowledgeable, listens carefully and answers peacefully.

The doctor himself or great... But, the receptionist and the other staff has no capability... Changes are cancelled or put on wrong dates... If you show up due to this, they don't even talk to you properly... Unfortunate they don't have respect for other people's time!!! Sad that I have to look for a new doctor for no fault of the doctor.

Dr. Patel was always available in emergencies. I had stye in my eyes 3 times this year. More than painful they were irritating and came right in when I had some important meetings or appointments. Dr. Patel replied to my calls late in the nights and helped me with prescription and home treatment. I would recommend him anytime.

This doctor, Patel, more than reconmended i have cataracts removed stating I'm overdue while other doctors insist it's not time yet. I also had an appointment to have them removed in Princeton by this doctor but cancelled for more than one reason. They treated me as if on a production line, couldn't give me an appointment schedule just one day prior to surgery. I was instructed to wait at home until they called me. That is ludicrous!!! I certainly can't claim it is common practice in the industry. Very few of this clinic's personnel are polite but at the desk, they insisted on a co-payment to insurance which was not required at all. They actually argued with me about this issue and they were wrong. I told them to wait for my insurance response and I prooved myself right. Again, more than one doctor told me I do not need the surgery yet but I let this clinic convince me. Be cautious.

We recently had visited the Doctor's office in Edison and were pleased with the experience. Dr Patel is extremely knowledgeable, patient and explained in details our concerns and was very reassuring. I would recommend himto all my friends. The support staff for assisting my daughter with various eye tests was also very helpful. On the negative side however the waiting time was very long as they have a very busy office and they couldn't keep up with our given appointment time. We spent over 2 hours for the entire visit with waiting time close to an hour. I hope they can somehow fix that problem.

I originally saw Dr. Patel in 2004 and was literally "in the chair" about to have a Lasik procedure. At that time he was an associate with another practice. On final examination before the procedure, Dr. Patel did not like one of the measurements. He took it again and then had an associate check again. In the end he said he did not fell he would get a result that HE would not be pleased with. He said although my vision would be much improved, I might still need to rely on glasses. Not sure of what to do I asked him. His response was that if I was his family member I would not do the procedure at this time. Now mind you I had a check for a lot of money in my wallet as this was not covered by insurance. I decided not to have it done and left with a nice dose of valium that had been given and some sunglasses. Dr. Patel left that other practice that I had been going to for many years and I have been seeing him ever since. Even though I can get free eye exams at the big name optical centers, NO ONE gets to examine my eyes except Dr. Patel. His honesty and thoroughness are what I appreciate most. It is worth the wait to get an appointment and I must say that since the office has been redesigned, the patient flow is much faster and wait time reduced. I trust my eyes to no one other than Dr. Patel.

I recently had visited office in Edison. I am visiting this office since Dr Patel started practice in this office with Dr Shah few years ago. I was living few block away from Edison office. Couple years ago, I moved with family to Tennessee and I still visit this office. I have little problem but I hope it will resolve soon. I would consider as small problem. I still like to visit this office, I would recommend Dr Patel to anyone who needs eye care.
