I had my Lasik performed by Dr. Notis and now I have to wear 2 pair of glasses. Needless to say that when I tried to receive help for this Dr Notis says I do not need 2 pair of glasses. My regular opthamolgist disagrees. Everytime I book an appointment they tell me arrive at one time than I get here and the time is completely different and they want to cancel me when I show up. The staff is rude and they just hang around between rooms and do not move for clients when they are shuffled between rooms. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Buyer beware.

Don’t ever make the mistake of coming to this place. Horrible, rude staff and ridiculous waiting time. I waited 2 and a half hours to be called into the room and another 20 minutes to actually be seen by the doctor & when I complained I was told that the retina specialist is only here once a week so they double book patients!! This office has no consideration for patient wait time they just care about racking up money regardless of how long a patient waits. If you wanna come here and waste time bring lunch & dinner cause you’ll be here all day.

Optical department service is poor. Takes a long time to get your eyeglasses. Over two weeks and you need to keep on following up. The optometrist are good but the optical department is sub par.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The office comes highly recommended by local optometrists, but once they see you as a patient and make their cut they are no longer concerned with the quality of care they offer. My husband was prescribed a medication that was A. Sent to the wrong pharmacy, although it was listed in his intake which one we frequent, then B. He was prescribed a brand not covered by his Insurance. We were informed by the pharmacy the very day it was received of this and the notified the doctor's office the next business day, which was Monday. The receptionist that picked up the phone said she emailed the doctor requesting approval of another brand. Wednesday and Thursday I followed up with the pharmacy and still no approval. Next business day Friday I call the office and they tried to pin it on the delay on pharmacy "not notifying" in complete ignorance of the FACT that I had been rigorously communicating with the pharmacy all week. They dragged their feet and instead of apologizing, shifted the blame. My husband is clearly just a dollar sign to this office and we will seek care elsewhere. It's clearly evident that these doctors are in some kind of joint kick back scheme of recommending offices with horrible service. It's a shame that the doctor's support staff is clearly not supporting him as they are paid to do and making his office look sloppy and poorly managed. Very basic customer service clearly lacks here.

I am a current patient. This survey is for my grandmother she doesn’t speak English. But she is very happy here and that is why myself and my whole family go here now. The attention of all the drs and technicians have been excellent. I have never had a problem with any of the receptionists either. I have visited the Union and Springfield facility. Both places have been very helpful. My grandmothers visits have been more and everyone is very courteous with her. She is 88 so I am very appreciative of that. Please keep up the good work. I always refer my patients to you guys.

The doctors overall are good. However, the waiting time is no joke. My eye retina check up appointment is 3:30 pm, and I literally waited for the doctor until 5:15 pm. I even went their half an hour early (3:00) so I can finish the process needed in advance for the doctor. However, it didn’t work out, and still waited forever. The problem is that they don’t even tell you in advance that you have to wait for that long. As a result, I have to push my whole schedule back for a whole hour. I even told them that I need to leave around 5 and asked them politely whether they could speed up a bit. But the staff acted rude and gave us a lecture about why it doesn’t work. I understand that the doctor might be busy, but two hours and fifteen minutes of waiting is a little too long when the appointment is said to be at 3:30. All in all, their staffs are unfriendly, and you need to make ample amount of time for your appointment. However, if you are willing to wait for ages, this place might be is for you.

I had an issue with the staff nearly six years ago over THEIR misunderstanding and THEIR miscommunication. I had asked a very specific question at the time I booked my child’s appointment. I was given the wrong information over the phone and became aware of the error only after the appointment was underway. This office refused to admit their mistake, which was a simple one, yet very inconvenient. I left a review on Yelp and never returned. Last week I decided that I would make an appointment as it had been some years since I had a full eye exam and this practice had the results from earlier exams to use as a comparison. Out of curiosity, I checked Yelp and found that the office had responded to my review by lying. I am not the one who misunderstood, it was their office employee. And since the response stated that they have plenty of business, I have cancelled my upcoming appointment. Would rather get my records than give this practice another chance. As I have written previously, the office manager deserves to be employee of the month since it appears lying to and about patients is an acceptable practice. They might as well use that policy throughout their business. Update: your response was and continues to be inaccurate. Look at the responses you have for any patient that criticizes this practice. The blame is placed on the patients. Step up and own your mistakes. Patients will respect you and not feel the need to post about your incompetence.

Dr. Notis used to be a nice Doctor, his office has become a meat factory, and a money making business, every time you call there is a new Doctor working there. The front desk people are impersonal and unfriendly.

My husband, my adult son and I have been visiting Dr Notis since 2013. He performed cataract surgery on both my eye (2 weeks apart) in 2013. I was extremely nearsighted with astigmatism and used reading glasses to read. Now I can see everything including screens, both big and small (iPhone) with NO glasses. The examinations are extremely thorough using an extensive array of equipment. The staff is super professional, and everyone is very nice. Parking is easy. I love the eye charts in a dozen languages that line the halls.

Doctors and technicians are excellent. Receptinist are somehow rude. The receptionist that took our information was very corteous, but when I asked a question to a second receptionist, she was rude and didn't have any good manners whatsoever. Warning. Triple check that your appointment is still there. I made an appointment over the phone and when I showed up for the appointment, they said I dont have one. So.. I wasn't seen for an eye issue I've waited for 2 weeks to be seen. Great job guys! Couldn't even fit me in for a mistake they made on their side.

I’ve gone to Dr. Karen Fuhrman twice now for examinations in The Springfield office. She is the best eye doctor I have ever been to. Thorough and sweet, answers my questions and takes very good care of me! The office runs like A well oiled machine. I will never go to a anyone else!

I have been coming here for about four years now. I truly appreciate how sanitary you keep your facility and equipment and how the technicians help add to the pleasure with their humor. I’ve been see by several doctors while being a patient here, and you are all very well versed, very courteous, very pleasant. Each of you not only care for your patient’s eyes, but for your patient, and it’s easily visible. I would recommend any of you. Although, after finding Dr. Fuhrman, I refuse to see another.
