I took my son to her for his first eye exam. He was very young and squirmy. She did not complete the whole exam because he had a difficult time keeping his eyes open. Her assistant asked Ms. Shin shall we try again. She said no its ok, it's not like they pay for insurance. My son has Amerigroup in which I DO pay for even being a single parent I get NOTHING for free and work my BUT off for all that we have. So yes I would definetly visit her practice "IF YOU WANT TO BE HIGHLY INSULTED"!

My son has been a patient for 7 yrs. He has nystagmus and Dr. Shin understands how debilitating this condition is. She also performed surgery 3 yrs agao to correct his exaggerated nullification point and this had successful outcome. Regrettably, there is no procedure available to correct his nystagmus. Dr. Shin is a very compassionate and competent opthamolgist specializing in pediatrics.

This place is horrible. Had an appointment at 10:50am, was advised to come in 30 min earlier to fill out paperwork and get ready for eye check up. Didn't get call in until 11:45am. Why make an appointment and still have to wait an hour before you can be seen not counting the 30 minutes you have to come in before just to sit there. Will never come back to this place! Absolutely horrible, never in my life made an appointment to have to wait for an hour to be seen!

Dr. Shin is a wonderful doctor. The wait can be long as she is the only doctor in the practice. However, she spent a long time with us explaining my son's condition and answering all of my questions even though my 2 year old son was EXTREMELY agitated and fought with and kicked at the staff his entire exam. None of them were angry or even noticeably bothered by it. I do not like long waits at the doctor's office but if I am waiting to see a skilled practitioner I know truly cares about the wellbeing of my child, I'll wait all day with a smile on my face. Good doctors are hard to come by.

Best eye doctor in town! We love Dr. Shin and all the staff! We have been patients for 6 years. She has helped correct lazy eye issues for 2 of my children, and my son has been going to her at least twice a year since he was 6 weeks old. Yes there is a couple hour wait time usually, BUT they are worth it!

I have a special needs son and visit multiple specialties and therapy but none of them are run as poorly as this one. Second visit and will be the last. Front office staff friendly but wait times are unacceptable .

NO! This lady kept pushing for surgery. The first time, we were there 5 hours and only saw her maybe half an hour. I understand needing to dilate her eyes and waiting on that, but when we did see her she was in a rush. She barely gave me and my husband information about our daughters condition and when we asked questions, she just repeated what she had already said which we had questions about. The second time we went, she just pushed for surgery. And when my husband said we wanted to discuss it before rushing in, she became cold and short with us. Me and my husband are still confused on what exactly is wrong with our daughters eye and measures to take to help it besides surgery. She has not taken the time to really explain it to us. I'm having to google stuff, which i should not have to do nor do i want to. We will be looking for another doctor that is not rushed and can better explain our daughters condition to us and maybe steps we can take. She may need surgery but there has to be other things we can do, as well, to help. With this doctor, its surgery or nothing at all.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Shin. She is patient, meticulous, and gentle with patients. She was the first one to properly diagnose an eye condition that had plagued me for years. I found her by accident via a Google search, and feel so lucky to have her treat me. Have since left town, and although my new doctor is also great, she had a special touch.
