Dr. Helga Pizio is Absolutely The BEST. I have taken both of my parents to all kind of doctors but the excellent service, friendliness, professionalism and courtesy provided by Dr. Pizio's staff in Summerlin's office is unmatched here in Las Vegas. It is because her own personality and knowledge supersedes all and sets an example for everyone. My parents had bad experience with other eye doctors that finally was corrected by Dr. Pizio. She performed surgery on their eyes with extra care and they are very happy with the results. I would recommend Dr. Helga Pizio very strongly to anyone who is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, highly professional and courteous Ophthalmologist.

Not your typical doctor. Along with being completely personal and professional and knowledgeable she has a personality that immediately put you as a patient at ease. She explains everything in a way that is easy to understand as a layperson. Would recommend her whole team but most assuredly Dr. Pizio in particular.

Dr. Pizzio is amazing. She is warm, friendly and an excellent doctor. Her staff is also friendly and top notch. I had eyelid surgery and had excellent results. I can see and read much better and my eyes no longer feel heavy and tired. I highly recommend Dr. Pizio! ❤️ She really did give me new eyes!

I had come in for normal eye exam yesterday and they dilated my eyes by adding two different eye drops. It has been now over 30 hours and I am not able to see light and have pain at the back of my eyes. I came back to the doctor to report it but they not only charged me extra fee but made me wait for over an hour and did not want to look at it. Very very poor attention to patient who is in pain and cannot see the light. The attitude of the staff is very casual and indifferent.

I consulted four Doctors about cataract surgery then debated with myself for a long time before the procedure. Then I went against a creed I bought into many years ago. 'If one is skeptical about doing something, do not do it! What does this have to do with cataract surgery? Simply it is apparently not for everyone. Me for example. Dr. Pizio voiced confidence I would benefit from the operations. However, Dr. Hendricks (Dr Pizio referral) states my uncorrected vision is 20-50 and that he could correct it to 20-40 with new corrective lens. Ironically that was the same as it had been for 70 years before the surgery. Only now I need corrective lens to read and I didn't require same before the procedure. My main take away is that I'm more impaired now than prior to the operations. I'm not dissing Dr Pizio as she and her contemporaries are good at their craft but it is just not for everyone. Surely I cannot be the only case. It baffles me the Medical profession apparently has yet to determine cataract surgery is not for everyone or (and I hope not) it's only done for the monetary gain. To say there was no 'out of pocket expense' for me is a misnomer as I paid about $175.00 for new corrective lens. I have yet to receive same as it has been about a month (I was told two weeks). Of more importance is the fact 'un-necessary operations of any kind drive up the cost of insurance (private and government) and possibly lessen the availability to those people truly in need. In conclusion I would have been much happier if I was told, 'You are a candidate for cataract surgery but the truth is your vision may prove to be no better than it is now'. I was in Las Vegas on business when I lost vision in one eye and needed immediate attention. Dr. Pizio saw me the same day and the treatment I received from the Doctor and her staff was exceptional. Everybody was very professional and compassionate. After an extensive examination, Dr. Pizio made the correct diagnosis and suggested appropriate follow up measures. I highly recommend Dr. Pizio to anyone seeking a well trained, highly qualified eye doctor.

Dr Helga Pizio did the multi focal lenses in both of my eyes. On a good day I am 20/25. I can drive, drive at night, read, and shoot!

Do not rely on the Dr. Pizio office to keep the appointment times that they may be setting with you, especially if you are coming from out of town. Ten days ago, I made an appointment with their office, with two airlines, with the Avis car rental office, and with a Las Vegas hotel, for a future appointment with Dr. Pizio. Today I was informed that "something went wrong" with my reservation, and Dr. Pizio would not be able to make the prearranged set appointment. Nor would she be available at any time that I would be in the Las Vegas area. Now I am cancelling my airline reservations (with the hefty penalties that go along with cancellations ! ) along with the hassle of cancelling the car and hotel. One word to the wise - don't count on the Dr. Pizio office for your confirmed appointments.
