The Doctor himself is great. However the front office staff is completely incompetent. After one visit it took 4 tries for them to bill me correctly because they kept spelling my insurance information incorrectly (they took the information directly from the card). 5 months later after finally billing the correct insurance company it was resolved, but then they started telling me wrong dates and times for my appointment and for my sons. The final time resulted in me pulling my son out of school for absolutely no reason after they told me he couldn’t be seen that day. If it wasn’t for the front office I would be extremely pleased with the Dr and service he provides. However the amount of stress the front staff causes is just not worth it.

Several years ago I sustained an eye injury that I was told would develop a Cataract as it healed. Recently it really began to affect my sight so I knew it was time to find a Dr. to see about removing it. I work with an older gentleman who had to have a cornea transplant a couple of years back so I asked him who he went to. He told me that he went to Abrams Eye Institute and that Dr, Abrams had performed his surgery. From the very first phone call, I knew I had made the right decision. The girls at the front desk are very nice and professional when on the phone and when talking in person. From my pre-op appointment to my follow up appointment, I never had to wait more than 5 minutes and was treated as if I was the only patient they were seeing at that time. I have to say that Deni who handles setting up everything for patient surgery is really on top of her game. She went over everything I needed, explained everything very thoroughly and answered any questions I had. The entire staff at Abrams Eye Institute are the best and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Dr. Abrams did a fantastic job on my eye and I can now see again! If you are having eye issues, look no further than Abrams Eye Institute.

Forget me I don't know how to add more to this so I went to add it I got my left eye done on 1121 2018 0 my God I haven't read a book saw vibrant color since 2004 and if you want any information I was scared to death I'll give you what I know I'm still scared to death. I go tomorrow morning to get my right eye done these people Doctor Abrham & staff Mrs. Deni. They might not remember you but by God they sure act like they do when you talk to them you can ask the dumbest question you feel dumb they make you and tell you if you don't ask you won't know I get my right eye done tomorrow morning at 6:30 anybody needs any information on cataracts yeah I've had that eyes since I was a small child that a cataracts in my right eye since I was 8 and let me tell you I'll walk you through it and if you go to anybody and they tell you to wait until your cataracts gets badd or worse don't you're told to wait until it gets worse you go see doctor Abrams don't wait quality of life whether you're young old young at heart it's open my eyes let me tell you I get to go back training my dogs my service dog I get to drive I get to read a book they're so awesome they tell you from the get go what they're doing why they're doing it why they could do lasik & it wont-work. Well you might get up to 6 months. They're not there to make money they're there to help you and give you the quality of life. I know I'm running on and on but my left eye is 20:30 I can read I can look at a prescription bottle we might have to do a little touch up we're not sure yet but then my right eye is going to be my distance. its awesome , then he went over my records again and said scratch this let's do this before the day Of surgery. Don't be scared & Don't be worry and yes we're allowed to be all those things. But we are in excellent hands. It's pretty bad that the insurance won't pay the cost of laser to get it 95% accurate on your vision. You know we worry about everything else, back or neck you never think of your eyes. You feel we are suppose to have bad vision if we had problems with our eyes, or old age. NEVER.... You can't see that's wrong. Quality of life means, Seeing is believing, Believing is SEEING!!!! GO SEE DOCTOR ABRAMS.... GET YOUR LIFE BACK & GET YOUR SIGHT BACK!!!!!! 7th Of January 2019!!!! I Can SEE, ITS BEAUTIFUL AND BRIGHT!!!!!! I MISSED OUT OF MY LIFE THINKING THIS WAS NORMAL. I GO BACK IN MARCH, RECHECK UP. I CAN READ, I CAN PICK UP A BOOK, READ THINGS TO MY CHILDREN. Having been a patient of Dr. Jack Abrams for the past three years, I have continually experienced the very best in professionalism, care, and friendliness. These reflect the attitude of Dr. Abrams himself. Every patient is treated with the utmost respect: every question is answered; every concern is seriously addressed; and I feel that I always received the Doctor’s full attention. I was raised in the generation that was warned about running with a stick in my hand and taking care to be careful of how I handled scissors. So, the first time cataract surgery was explained to me, I could not imagine having my eye cut in any way. I changed doctors, and my internist recommended Dr. Jack Abrams. Dr. Abrams explained technique and outcome using a laser instead of a scalpel. That was my lucky day! My cataract surgery on each eye was a complete and painless success. I followed the instructions I was given and had no problems at all with aftercare. I have also had lipiflow treatment which was a great relief after having dealt with dry eyes for most of the fifty-one years I have lived in Las Vegas. Whether I’ve dealt with allergies or a head cold that affected my eyes, I’ve always been seen the same day or had the first appointment the next day. One of the staff is always available to take your call day or night. The key members of his staff have remained stable and if an individual moved on, Dr. Abrams has hired another individual who has become an asset to his team. You will be lucky to experience interaction with Tien, Biatris, Ana, Bianca, George, Daniel, and last but not least Letty! They give positive reassuring care no matter how small or great the procedure/treatments you may need.

The doctor I saw at this facility is a doctor Tap an Shah. I love this facility everybody that works there is so willing to help all the patients with whatever they need with billing with going into a different facility whatever it maybe. Dr. Shaw has never made me feel like he’s got other patients to deal with he doesn’t have time for me. The only reason why I don’t go there now is because at the beginning of the year my insurance changed. So unlike all the commercials you here where you can keep your same doctors that’s not really the case. But this also not the place to complain about that. I highly recommend this facility.

Worst costumer service ever. The medical assistant was very rude when he asked if we talk English. I am a very proud Latin but there are manners to ask about the language and then the doctor the first thing he asked was if we need help with translation I don't know if they had communication because we never asked for help with translation. We are in a country with a lot of cultures and languages and everyone should be respectful

I visited 2 other ophthalmologist in Las Vegas for Lasik, there was no comparison. Dr Abrams and staff offered a far smoother and more complete prescreen and follow up than the other clinic. I looked up his record and license, they are without blemish (unlike every other opthalmologist in the valley). I'm a medical provider and I could really appreciate his bedside manner and catered personalized care. I'm 6 months post-op now, no complaints whatsoever to date. Thank YOU, Dr. Shah! On November 12th you performed cataract surgery on my right eye. Since then I have been enjoying the blessing of sight without HIGH prescription. I am excited about next week - 2nd eye will be done. The experience was and is one of truly amazing. I entered the surgery center scared and wondering if I was going to be ok. From the moment that I was taken back (commenting to the nurse on our way to the room, "I'm really scared") she assured me that everything will be ok and after it is over I would be confident for the other eye. I was given excellent care and when Dr. Shah came before the surgery he was again reassuring and calmed my nerves. Once in the operating room I can say I was awake and guided through various stages that would be happening and all I can say is NO PAIN and very little do I remember. The parts I do remember surprise me and fascinate me of the procedures. Believe it or not, I am truly looking forward to my other eye being done next week and knowing what will be done will be done with expertise by Dr. Shah and care of professional and caring staff. After care is really easy and the best part, is I CAN SEE WITH OUT(glasses) LENS FOR MY RIGHT EYE. If you are getting this done go with ease and relaxed emotions, Dr. Shah is beyond amazing and caring. His staff and Valley View Surgery Center are the same. There should be NO fear! Thank you, Dr. Shah for giving me my wonderful corrected sight. I have worn glasses since age 3 and I am now 71 years old. Seeing the world will only get better, next week!

My experience with Abrams Eye Institute was outstanding. I mean really fantastic. First of all, I had a little bit of an emergency and they got me into the office, in Pahrump, right away. Dr Tapan Shah was there and diagnosed my problem and took care of it immediately. My wife was with me in the treatment room and after he took care of me, he looked at an issue she was having and prescribed treatment for her. We both have follow up appointments at the office in Las Vegas. Dr. Shah was the best eye doctor we have ever dealt with. I always wanted to have LASIK done and had been thinking about it for years. I was doing some research and found Abrams Eye Institute. I was impressed that Dr. Abrams was double-boarded so I made an appointment to get more information. My first impression of the office was that it was clean, updated and neat. I give the staff a 5/5: for a doctors office, they were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have had regular eye exams at other eye centers in LV and always felt uneasy because of the first impressions I got from the staff. I give Dr. Abrams a 5/5: during the consultation, he was extremely helpful, knowledgable and was not pushy. He made me feel comfortable with my questions and his tone and attitude didn't make the environment feel pressured or rushed. I decided to go with LASIK and scheduled the procedure. Procedure: On surgery day I felt a little nervous, however during the procedure, Dr. Abrams explained everything that he was doing and how I would feel during every step, which put my mind at ease. Both eyes took no longer than 10 minutes and I was out and about before I knew it. Later that night I felt some discomfort, which felt like sand in my eyes, but after about 6 hours I felt 90% better. The most amazing thing is to crack your eyes open 6 hours out and be able to see details on objects that are yards away, truly amazing. The next couple of days I took it easy and rested my eyes for the most part. Today was my 1 month visit after surgery, and my vision was tested at 20/15 for both eyes! I can't explain how fantastic it feels to be able to see this clearly without frames on my face or lenses in my eyes. I have gone back to Dr. Abrams 3 times for standard check ups after surgery and each and every time, Dr. Abrams and his staff have been friendly, helpful and caring.

Called to make an appointment and the customer service was so bad on the phone that is where I stopped. I don’t want to be given the third degree when I call to make an appointment. I have blue cross medical ins and eyemed for vision. They answer the phone as if you are bothering them, then they say that even though they are a provider, they want to make sure you are covered. I told them they are listed as a provider and they said “Yes” they were but still wanted to check. Why? Make the appointment and move on. Your internal insurance problems are your own, not the customers. And the whole time you are on hold you hear a recording talking about how great they are. Hahaha...NOT. I know their scam, even though they are listed as taking EyeMed, they really just want to bill your medical insurance so they get more money. Patients: you are in charge. YOU decide what procedure you want. You tell them you want an eye prescription and not all the medical stuff they want to do. It’s your choice, not theirs. I will never do business with them and I will attempt to stop anyone doing so.
