I normally do not write a review, but felt this one was warranted. I will start with the positive. Dr. Weiss was very good and professional. The gal that helped my wife and I pick out frames was also good. This is why I feel two stars were earned. We had appointments at 4:30 and 4:50 p.m. after which we were getting help finding frames and getting prices. The place closes at 6 which we didn't realize until another customer asked. We elected to just pay for our eye exams and wait on glasses for now. The receptionist was extremely rude because I believe, she had to wait on us. We were trying to finish up picking out frames etc. This is a lot of money that I want to make a good decision on. I'm sorry the receptionist had to stay late. She was making comments to make us feel very guilty plus nasty body language. We will be buying glasses elsewhere. That receptionist ruined my whole experience.

Worst ever! Dr Drackulich promised results but repeatedly failed to provide correct prescription. Because of repeated failure they sent me to a specialist (Dr Vicky) who knocked it out right away. Unfortunately Millard left me with the bill for that specialist. I phoned to discuss billing with the Millard owner who just blew me off. Long story short, they SUCK. Suggest you try Omaha Primary Eyecare.

Dr. Michaels and his excellent staff have provided us with caring and professional exams at every stage in our lives. With my family history of eye problems from macular degeneration to cataracts, I have made sure to go for my regular eye exams like clockwork. I hope to never have the issues my father has. Dr. Drakulich is a phenomenal eye doctor! She is personable, takes time to show you the results of tests and explain everything so that it is easily understood. They keep up with the latest technology for early detection for any issues that might arise. This gives me peace of mind knowing that we can monitor the health of my eyes for many years to come and possibly thwart any issues that may develop as I get older. My husband also likes her and with his near-sighted issues, she is willing to explore options such as contacts with him. He actually likes going to this doctor. :) I wouldn't go anywhere else or trust my eyes to anyone else.

Receptionist made me cry, I have been going to Millard Family Eyecare for over 7 years. I have always been impressed with them, until this last appointment. I am a young first year teacher and I was due for my eye appointment. I wanted to get new glasses for teaching, so I booked an appointment. Something came up in my family and I was unable to make it to my original appointment. So I called to make a new one. While on the phone with the receptionist I asked them to verify that my insurance was valid and that it was time to get both an exam and new frames. The receptionist assured me that everything was good to go. I showed up to my appointment excited! I got checked in and taken back to see the doctor quickly. I was happy with the exam and felt the doctor was super kind and answered all my questions! I was very pleased. So then I go to pick out my glasses. I was helped by an amazing woman who allowed me to take all the time I needed to look. She gave great opinions and really helped make the process personal and comfortable! She was amazing. But then I’m called over to the front desk by the receptionist. I believe her name was Michael. She informed me that my insurance was not going to cover my appointment. When I asked why she snapped and me and said “I don’t know why. That is what your insurance is saying to me right now. So they will not cover this appointment.” I asked her why they allowed me to see the doctor before checking on my insurance. I also asked why I was assured on the phone that everything was good to go. She again snapped at me and said, “it’s not our fault that you were a no show. You have some beef with your insurance and now you come in here acting like you had no clue” I started to cry because I suffer from horrible social anxiety, and said “what would you like me to do then?” She hangs up the phone and says “fine! We will just cover it. Is that what you’re wanting? We will take the financial hit and give you a free exam!” She is saying this loudly and everyone in the place is staring. She then asks me, “but youre still planning on getting lenses here right?” My anxiety takes over and I just break down crying. I went to the bathroom to gather myself. When I come out, Michael walks my paperwork over to the frames and says very loudly “ok so we had to give Rebecca a Free exam, so you guys can continue to look at frames..” at this point I’m embarrassed, anxious, sad and I’m no longer excited to look at frames Luckily the lady helping me look at frames was AMAZING! She talked to me so caringly and got me to calm down. She made me feel pretty and happy and I was so thankful for her. I put off posting this review because I was giving Millard family eye care time to respond to my private review I left on email. However it has been over 2 months and I haven’t heard back. I’m now posting this because I want people to understand that the behavior of the receptionist was bullying behavior and I don’t ever ever ignore or accept bullying. I am saddened that I will most likely not return to Millard family eyecare again, even though I have been a patient for so long.

CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!! First of all, I had what I thought was an intern do my entire exam, not just the first part that the tech usually does-the ENTIRE thing. The doctor only came in at the end to tell me my Rx. Then, they print off a nice sheet on how much money you "saved: because they accept Vision Source insurance. I still had to pay $80 for my exam and then another $100+ for my glasses because there is no pair there for a reasonable in price. They also tried to get me to buy the contacts from them (and they must have some sort of back-room deal as they already have a pre-printed price sheet on that particular brand) and were very pissy when I said I found a better deal online. And the huge kicker now is that I want to go back to my old brand because I like them better. They told me I'd have to come in for another exam, meaning shell-out another $164 which is what it would cost. WHAT A RIP-OFF! Anywhere else has exams for less than 1/2 that price! I'm pretty sure the other reviews here are on-staff there because anyone who thinks this place is good is stupid (and/or very wealthy). I WILL NOT RETURN!!!

Dr. Weiss is a terrific eye doctor. Highly recommend her. My left eye got a little worse after my last appointment and I was in the first three months after my last appointment so she let me switch them out for free. How awesome is that!

I have been going to Millard Family Eyecare for over 5 years. Everytime I go there, whether for an eye appointment or picking up my ordered items, I am always greeted with a friendly greeting. Dr. Drakulich is sincere, passionate and fun. I used my eyeglass benefit at my last appointment. I was overwhelmed by the # of frames to choose from. However, the assistant who worked with me to choose my new specs was awesome!! She was like a cheerleader and critic in one. We picked a frame that was perfect for me and I can't wait to get my new glasses. Keep doing what you are doing for business practices as it's a pleasure to go somewhere where customer service is # one!!

I called to make an appointment and the first thing I asked was if they accepted my insurance - I gave them the information and I was told "YES" they do accept my insurance. I took their word for it. The day of my appointment AFTER the exam, while picking out frames, I was then told they DO NOT accept my insurance. Therefore, I got stuck with a bill for $177. Should this have not been told to me PRIOR to the exam so I could have had the option of going somewhere that accepted my insurance????? Very disappointed with the way this was handled! That is why I asked when making the appointment. Now I am out $177 and still need to go somewhere else for my glasses.

Communication between the staff is horrible. Communication to me on what needed to be done when ordering glasses for the 1st time did not happen. They expected me to know what the process was when it's their job to educate me when we are a first time client. Will get my daughters glass and then we will never go back. Dr Weiss was great with my daughter and was really impressed with her. But after the staff messed up our glasses order twice and it takes 4 weeks to get glasses with no explanation, we will not be going back.

She listens thoroughly to your concerns/problems and works with you closely to resolve all issues. Competent staff from the receptionist through the entire eye exam process. My hats off to the staff that correctly fits, adjust and repairs glasses........many experiences with them and always courteous, easily available to see and resolve any eye frame issues without an appointment. We wear glasses and contacts....all our needs are taken care of promptly. Stylish glasses and also many thanks to Dominique for her help & guidance in placing me in a great looking prescription sunglasses. A very positive experience with Millard Family Eye Care since our relocation to Omaha. Job well done!

Dr. Weiss knows what she is doing. She has a lot of awards and is affiliated with some great organizations. I trust her to give me a good preventative review for my very small prescription. That being said if you don't have any real eye problems, I'd skip this place. It's huge, there is plenty of staff; however, they take years getting you through. Two hours for an annual checkup is insane. I also feel like they are plugging optical reps left and right in there. Then you are pushed to order glasses on the spot. With the advancement of the internet, it's just unnecessary and insanely overpriced. If you value you your time, I'd just go to Costco in the future. Quick, easy and the same amount of accuracy.

My family and I have all been seen by Dr. Weiss, Dr. Michaels, and Dr. Drakulich and they do a fantastic job. They are great with children as well as adults. The optical is so helpful in picking out the perfect frame and we love the 2 year warranty on frames and lenses with no additional charge. Insurance can be a hassle (when is it not) but Millard Family Eyecare is great at jumping through hoops to get you what you want. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

After I got my new glasses from the other place I was so unhappy I went right back to Dr. Michaels. I'll never leave again. Millard Family Eyecare is a QUALITY place. I have been going to Milliard Family Eyecare for the last 3 years since I moved to Omaha...my husband and his children have gone there for many years and referred me. I cannot say enough about the quality of the exam and the care taken by the doctors, interns and entire staff. I suffer from chronic dry eyes and I am borderline diabetic both of which can cause eye health to deteriorate over time. Not only do they explain the how's and why's of how these things can affect vision and eye health (which nobody ever did before), but they also take the time to listen and offer proactive solutions to stop or slow symptoms and complications. Dr. Dakulich is extremely knowledgeable and caring. The entire staff has been friendly and taken a great deal of time with me no matter whether it be questions about the exam and my eye health, insurance benefits, frames, or contacts. They have convenient hours so I can easily get there after my work hours or on Saturdays. They stand by what they sell as well. My glasses ordered there have always been perfect, but this time I noticed a very tiny scratch on one lens...they apologized, took ownership and stated they will re-order new lenses right away. My step son had glasses broken at school and they quickly took care of that at no charge as well. They go over and above in all ways...even giving me a bottle of eye glass cleaner at no charge and letting me know they refill them for free. I have gone to every chain you can imagine over the years for exams, glasses and contacts...Walmart, Lenscrafters, Target, Pearl, Visionworks...you name it...and I have never had the in-depth exam, explanations and concerns for my satisfaction as with Millard Family Eyecare. As long as I live in the Omaha area...I will never go anywhere else. I agree with some that stated they don't have the very lowest prices around, however, with that said...the quality of the lenses, frames, exam and staff is so much better than I have ever experienced that I feel it is worth it. Cheapest is rarely the best. I am not wealthy, but I am completely comfortable with their pricing for the quality of care they offer.

The doctors and the staff that help you pick out glasses are great. The receptionists are terrible. I thought I had scratched my eye so I called in to get an appointment, but their after hours message played for 15 minutes after they were open so someone wasn’t doing their job. I finally got ahold of someone and the receptionist got me an appointment, but called back 15 minutes later and said my insurance wouldn’t cover it (what?) so I asked why, who I should call, or if I could just come in and pay out of pocket and all she said was “I don’t know”. No explanation or suggestions. They’re always super rude when I’m in the office, anyway, so I’ll be finding a new eye doctor.

I called in, she took no interest in trying to win me as a new customer, so much silence on the other end that I almost asked if someone was still there on the other end, no available appointments. As our health issues change as we age, Dr Michaels has been extremely diligent in pretreating and treating eye conditions that are related to disorders as we age and encounter other health issues that may affect our vision or changes may be seen in our eyes. He is very thorough in his explanations of his procedures and tests, explaining what he is looking for and what he is seeing and sharing that with us. The staff is very prompt in reporting his results to our family physician for follow up. Communication between doctor and staff is fantastic.

I just quit a large eye care clinic in Omaha due to the hassles of their billing my insurance company and started having issues with one of my eyes. I was able to get right in the next day with Millard Family Eyecare. I discussed the billing issues I had with my previous eye care clinic and was assured Millard Family Eyecare would bill my insurance the best way affordable for their patients. Dr. Weiss was very professional and thorough in her exam. I made my annual eye exam appointment before leaving that day so I will be making Millard Family Eyecare my permanent eye care clinic. The staff is great!!
