We got my son glasses a couple months ago and their broke already. The arm of them snapped off. They were very cheaply made. What they are charging for another pair with warranty is ridiculous and they won’t work with you at all. Lady at the counter is not friendly at all.

Scheduled an appointment via the web as directed. Received a call 12 mins before the appointment time from the office that said I needed to arrive 10mins early for paperwork if possible. I walked in at scheduled time and they REFUSED to see me. I live 12 mins away from their location. This place used to be great and have the local wentzville family feel... not anymore. Taking my business somewhere else and recommend you do the same.

Great Eye Care Center. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Dr Abby is great and explains everything to you. She also allows you to try different options to see what works best for you. I had to try several types of contacts before finding the right ones and they were very helpful and patient.

My first (and only) visit. Dr. Kilgore was nice, but they billed to my MEDICAL insurance instead of vision which meant that my deductible kicked in. An eye exam is $45.00. They charged $181.00 + $25.00 = for $206.00 for eye exam because I have Dry Eye Syndrome. Dr. Kilgore did absolutely NO extra tests for this; I told her I had been diagnosed several years ago and use Restasis. Since she renewed my prescription for Restasis, she charged this amount. I think this is a total scam to use my insurance this way and when I complained, they said I had signed for them to use my medical insurance if necessary, which I did, not believing for one minute that would be necessary. I have been using Restasis for 10+ years and have NEVER been billed other than on my VISION insurance. Neither the office staff, nor Kate at the corporate billing, which is owned by Crown Vision, was at all helpful or willing to do anything. IF YOU GO HERE, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SIGN FOR THEM TO FILE ON YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE! I filed complaints with my insurance carrier, BBB and Missouri Optometry Board.

Wentzville Eye Center has been meeting my expectations since i began going there 4 years ago. I requested to have an appointment made on very short notice and I was able to get in within a matter of days, which was much quicker than i expected. The Dr's are always very helpful and gladly offer advice when it comes to picking out the best fitting glasses. They gave me the wrong frames. I didn't realize until i got home the arms on my glasses were not the black hard coated plastic with zebra stripes I ordered but silver metal with a painted zebra design and the frames were more square. The one I ordered was more rounded. The arms they gave almost had the same zebra design but not exactly like the ones I picked out on display. And the frames I picked out were black. When searching for my frames I knew the ones I handed them were black because I only tried on black and purple then decided to go with just black. I despise the color brown (this point will be more relevant later on in the story). When I called and asked if they could look at the one on display and tell me if the arms were plastic or metal and if I was wrong I would keep the ones I had. They told me no, that if I wished to look at them myself I could. And if they ordered me the wrong pair they would fix it. The next day I went in to look at the display and sure enough they were not there but had replaced them with a BROWN pair of the same order I got. I showed them a picture of the ones I found on Google that resembled the ones I ordered. They looked them up in the system and said they used to have them but discontinued them 8 months ago and reassured me that they wouldn't have had a discontinued pair of glasses on display. They made a mistake by selling me a discontinued pair of glasses then ordering me a similar pair and tried to cover it up and lie when I KNOW the ones I handed to them were black not BROWN and were plastic not silver metal arms. When helping me pick them out she even gathered glasses with the plastic arms and commented "oh it looks like you really like the all around plastic frames" based on the few I had tried and liked and she gave me other suggestions based on my likings to help me find the right pair. After about 30 mins of looking and carefully deciding I picked out the black plastic zebra stripes that were rounded at the bottom. Not square metal arms. Overall I still thought the frames I got were cute, but just not what I ordered. Due to needing glasses for a 12 hour drive and not being able to wait for a new pair and just being fed up with the situation, I've decided to keep my glasses even though they gave me the wrong ones. The rest of the visit was very pleasant and the girls were nice. My appointment was quick and I didn't have to wait. But I'll never return or order glasses here based on their dishonesty. After compairing the price of frames I ordered from them online it was significantly cheaper then the price they had on the shelfand what I paid. This was also my first visit to the eye doctor and my first pair of prescription glasses in addition, this is my first Google review. I am not the type to rant, but I felt others should not have to deal with dishonest people.

My second time there, and the staff helped me achieve the cheapest option between insurance and their specials at the time. My most recwnt visit I wanted to update my glasses as well as getting a supply of contacts..the tech helped me shop for/find a pair of glasses n my price rsnge like we had known eachother forever-gave me opinions on which she thought looked better and told me if I looked horrible or good in each pair I tried on...shopping for glasses is hard by yourself! I would definately recommend making yourself an appointment!

I have severe anxiety. I made a couple of appts on line. I had to cancel, and missed them...leaving my house is tough. I called to cancel an appt today 3/19/19, and the woman I spoke to was condescending and rude. I explained my issue and she said, " Okay we will take you off of the books again." "to only come in as a walk in from now on, so we don't have to keep removing you from the schedule." Being kind and understanding takes little effort.

Overall we had a good experience. The exam went quickly and the staff was attentive on the day of the exam. Also, our glasses arrived quickly, which was nice. Unfortunately, when we arrived Monday morning to pick them up and be fitted, the store was late to open. I had to stand waiting outside with two small children (one of whom was late for school) for over 15 minutes. When the employee finally responded to our knocking she was completely unappolgetic about having made us wait.

I love that they not only did my daughters glasses in record time along with mine. But, they helped me get use to my first pair of no line bifocals. And, the only reason I even tried them was they were able to get my hubby to wear his and he hates wearing his glasses. Now, he wears them every day. Dr. Kilgore was a fantastic Doctor but that is where the service ends. I went because of a medical issue so my insurance would handle the claim. I have two insurances and informed the receptionist of this who still insisted that I pay the deductible and that after the second insurance pays they will refund me my deductible. Well that didn't happen - ten calls later and visiting the facility they still have not refunded my deductible even though my secondary has claimed I do not owe the money!! The secondary shows that Wentzville Eye Center did not send the information on time and when they did send the claim did not send all the information needed. I have never had trouble with my secondary insurance before so this makes it a little hard to claim that Wentzville Eye Center did everything correctly and it is the secondary insurances fault.

They are very informative about what my insurance will cover and/or not cover. They are very thorough and patient with me and my children. They do not over sell their products. They advise you what contact/glasses are needed and then talk you through your decision. They have evening hours which is wonderful for any working parent with children.
