If I could rate this eye center with a negative star I would. As a new patient I received and submitted my patients forms 10 days prior to my appointment. Arriving on time for my appointment I signed in. I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time before anyone spoke to me and it was only to ask for my insurance card (which they already had). I proceeded to wait another 5-7 minutes before being called back. I was taken to a room where I was asked why I was there. My eyes were numbed for a pressure check (this taking about 5 minutes). I was then lead to another waiting room to be seated. I recognized a lady who had been in the original waiting room for about 15 minutes with me. I asked if she had been seen yet and she said no. It is now 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment and when I asked how long it would be I was told "I don't know" I then asked how many patients were ahead of me I was told 4. I advised the assistant my appointment was 45 minutes ago and that I had other appointments. Her response was "he is a specialist" and she did not know how long it would be. I advised her I also work in a doctors office and had worked for a specialist and making some wait that long past their scheduled appointment with no concept of when they may be seen was not acceptable and inconsiderate. I would think your scheduler could be better at getting information from their patients when scheduling to know how much time doctor needed when are to be seen. I left the office having never been seen(after waiting weeks for an appointment) and frustrated that there was no concern or consideration for my time. If I had showed up 45 minutes late for my appointment do you think I would have been seen. I will pass on my experience not only to the doctor who referred me there but to anyone who ask my opinion, as they say the best referrals come from our patients, but today not this one!
