My husband went to this place in October of 2018 and I am still getting bills from this place after we have already paid them $80 in copay's for ONE visit! Of course they don't take eye insurance...why would they-after all they are an eye doctor. AND to top it off they filed 3 different claims on the SAME dos so they could collect even more money from us...pretty smart right. I just found out from BCBS since they filed the claims separately and not all on one claim, I won't be getting reimbursed. Thank you Patty for doing your billing so poorly. I'm glad I don't bill my patient's the way Summit Eye Center does theirs!

I have always been very nervous whenever an opthamologist or assistant would come near my eyes. My mother even told me she hoped I never had to have cataract surgery. The time came for cataract removal on both eyes. Everyone was very patient and kind from the very first visit thru my 6 month post-op visit. I'm glad I was directed here by my optometrist!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Appointment was kept on time and evaluation process efficient, and thorough. During the testing, equipment was immediately wiped off every time, after use. Even the doctor wiped the chin rest, head guide and other parts of the equipment, himself. He did not need someone to follow after him to do that. Small things but impressive as a well oiled team works together and each, including the top brass, does their own part, no matter how menial. All staff had a gentle, caring approach. A few months ago, I took a friend to have her eyes evaluated at another well-known eye care center and it took forever (about 3 hrs). They had her move 3 times to go to different sections for testing, one was even on a different floor and this is their "norm" as she was not needing any extra special care. I was not with her the day of her surgeries but she said the doctor was gruffy and her post surgery glasses are not helping so she wears over the counter tiny lenses on the end of her nose. And she is having trouble with spontaneously seeing disturbing flashes of light if she moves her head is some positions. Although I have encouraged her to go back, her experience with the doctor was so traumatic that she refuses to entertain that option. I believe the type of insurance she carries keeps her in that eye care facility. She lived in a foreign country for many years and has learned to put up and shut up. She is a beautiful sweet lady, inside and out and I feel helpless to do anything. In the light of her experience, I am super appreciative of your eye team both in terms of efficiency and skill level. You are fortunate to work with such a kind doctor and Dr. Skelsey is blessed with such a caring staff. Have a good day,

This whole team was very efficient, helpful and friendly. But more important were my potential options not only were they addressed but experiments outlined ; that once performed would thereby reduce risks and potential of not getting the desired results. While what started out to be a second option turned out to be a shift and the selection of a surgeon to replace my lenses and the removal cataracts limiting my eye-site. He explained what I faced and told me what I needed to hear not what he thought a wanted to hear, which was my experience with my original doctor.

I was able to get a next-day appointment when I called in the late afternoon. I was able to fill out new-patient paperwork online, which greatly sped up the check-in process. I was seen quickly once checked in. Dr. K. was great, very personable and professional and I felt like he and his staff were very thorough. Disrespectful front desk associate. Wanted to read from screen rather than speak to my face. Eye exam was covered with out insurance for free with no copay, yet the person wanted to give us the standard amount without calling it in. Unprofessional office to say the least, as extra paperwork needed to be filled out rather than having the opportunity to print out from website like the rest. In addition, surgery scheduling specialist wanted to force upon me to get measurements done and set up an appointment with their people even though we had our own place we wanted to go to. Repeatedly ignored my father, of whom was the actual patient. Apparently "the help" of this facility is incapable of meeting the respectful nature of the doctor himself.

I suffered a problem with my right eye that resulted in a noticeable change in vision and obviously caused me a lot of concern. I called Summit Eye Center the next morning and they got me in for an appointment with Dr Skelsey later that same day. I was thoroughly evaluated and the problem was diagnosed as a retinal occlusion. Dr Skelsey took the time to carefully explain the condition and that while not insignificant there should be no long term degradation of my vision. He ran follow up tests just to ensure the occlusion wasn't caused by a serious condition and referred me to a retina specialist. It's now two months later and vision is completely back to normal. Highly recommend Summit Eye Center and Dr Skelsey!

I would never recommend this place. They wanted me to use their mail order pharmacy, and then would not return communication with my local pharmacy. Also I had asked about co pays before being seen by the doctor and they said that I did not have a co pay. Well guess what, four months later I get a bill in the mail. I am canceling my next exam and looking for a new Optometrist with competent and honest support staff.
