The customer service I received over the phone has me a litttle frustrated and confused. I’ve called three days in a row and have been given very little explanation as to the process they are going through with me, as they tell me they’ll look something up, and call me back. No call. The next day I called, they said they’d speak with the doctor and call me back. Today when I phoned after no return call, they were a little bit sassy with me when I told them I’d called three days in a row with no call back. Over all, each phone call and each person I talked to had pretty low levels of polite and informative customer service. I will have the highest praise for a company with good customer service, and I will give a bad review and not return to those who talk to their customers like children.

When does it end ... so here it is 2014 and still people make judgments based on race or how someone dresses how they look and the color of their skin. I will not be shopping with Eye Care Centers after the treatment of my family member on yesterday February 19,2014 by a manager of The Eye Care Center on State Line Rd in KCMO. An individual asking about a particular frame (or item in any shop ) should be shown the frame and allowed to decide if they want them or not based on how they feel they look in them. You should never judge if a person can or cannot afford something based on your idea of them as a people nor how they look to you. Those are often the very people who can easily afford whatever it is they are shopping for. Oprah and countless other Black Americans far too often get judged on what they can or cannot afford or where they should or should not shop merely based on the color of skin. Apologies are far too little in this day and time ... just stop it already. I am a small business owner and I will never turn anyone away because of their skin color. If they cannot afford the products and services I provide there is not any problem with them looking nor inquiring. Many times they return after saving up for what they would like to have. This however is not and was not the case. The young women was prepared to purchase what she asked to look at and try on. We will continue searching for the products we want however we will not be shopping at the Eye Care Centers anywhere in this country. There are far too many options than to allow ourselves and our families to continue suffering this kind of mistreatment.

New patient on a first time visit. The staff seemed helpful and the lady who did my basic eye exam was nice. Then I waited for over half an hour for a doctor to see me to write a contact lens prescription, which I found out on site would cost me an additional $20. The doctor was really nice once she showed up. With the wait time and additional fees, I'm going somewhere else next time.

The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the blond haired receptionist in the front. Me and my daughter were there and the woman in the front was not welcoming or polite. This was our first visit so I expected to be greeted in a polite and friendly manner and we were not. Upon leaving my 9 year old daughter asked what was wrong with her. However, I will say that Ginger Cline is truly amazing, and I would recommend her to anyone. She was amazing with my daughter. She made my child feel comfortable and she had great character. We can't wait to see her again in a few weeks! If it weren't for the impolite, uncomfortable, weird receptionist in the front, I would have given this office 5 stars.

Antiquated equipment and plan on seating in the exam room for 30 minutes waiting for doctor.

I am currently still at this place with my dad. Our appointment was for 2pm, we got here at 1:30 to fill out new patient paperwork. At 2:30, a tech came to see my dad, he tested a couple things then put us BACK in a different waiting room to see the doctor. It is now 3:12 and there are people here waiting who got here before us. No end in sight. These people do not value your time!
