My first bad impression was being told to be there at 815 am and not being seen until 845 when I was the only person in the waiting room. Then being told as I am walking out that I had to pay almost $100 for drops and sunglasses....I had my other eye done in saint Charles and the price quoted me back then was the price I paid....drops and sunglasses included. But you know, I let it go... This doctor has been seeing my family for decades, first his dad and now by his son. My parents, grandparents, siblings all have gone there, literally for decades. It's now two days before my surgery and I get a call from the surgery center telling me that I will need to pay additional $220 due on the day of surgery. Now I'm upset....I don't make much money and I need my vision to work. I called the office and told them that I was upset by bring blindsided by this additional charge do close to my surgery date without a single person warning me about it. I was told that they normally do... What they normally do is not going to help me. If I would have known 3 weeks ago, I could have prepared...but two days before surgery. If I could afford to put off the surgery and go somewhere else, I would.

Had cataract surgery on both eyes at the St. Louis Eye Surgery and Laser Center on Manchester and 270. The whole staff was so nice and Dr. Tekwani came very highly recommended. I was pleased that he spoke very fluent English and was very good at answering questions. He explained what was going to happen during the surgery. After each surgery my eye was checked one day, one week and one month afterward. After years of wearing glasses it felt good to shed them.
