Very easy, timely, and friendly staff. The doctor is great, professional, and yet kind as if you two are family. Same with receptionist, and the billing person. It's a very preferable environment as opposed to the bigger optometrists out there. HIGHLY recommend.

Great experience for first-time glasses wearer. I made a back-to-back appointment for myself and my 9 y/o daughter. The staff were very professional, but also laid back and a ton of fun. The doctor was very thorough and patient, and asked if we had any questions about our exams. I got the impression that he truly loves taking care of his patients eyes. The gentleman who helped my daughter and I pick out and order our glasses was great. He was out on the floor with us, pulling glasses for us to try on, giving his opinions... it felt like we were shopping with a pal. The lady behind the desk was also in on the fun, giving feedback and being very helpful. Great experience all around!

First, let me say that I never write reviews - good or bad. But this is a rare exception. I have been wearing glasses for 30+ years and have a challenging eye prescription that required many re-makes of my glasses from multiple chain eyeglass companies. I was referred to Dr. Browning with Family Eye Care of Maryland Heights 2 years ago and it was THE BEST eyeglass experience I have had in 30 years. I was pleased with Dr. Browning's eye exam, but knew the real challenge was getting my eyeglass prescription correct. I ordered 2 pairs (distant and my first pair of bifocals) and anxiously awaited the arrival of my glasses. This was the FIRST TIME EVER that I had a pair of glasses that were correct on the first try! No need to send them back for a remake. I was IMPRESSED. So impressed that I ended up with 5 new pair of glasses (bifocals, sunglasses, readers, etc). I highly recommend Dr. Browning and staff. Don't let the small office fool you; they have plenty of high quality and CURRENT frames to choose from that are reasonably priced.

I've been going to Family Eye Care for the past 14 years (since I got my glasses in 6th grade!) and it's always been convenient and friendly. The new optometrist took over the practice a few years ago, and it was such a smooth transition from my point of view. He's incredibly friendly, has updated the look of the office as well as some of the technology used, and he has a particular skill of explaining your current eye health, as well as informing on what I should expect in the future. All of the staff I've interacted with is great. On my last visit, the receptionist was so helpful while I chose my new style of glasses. I also really appreciated on the last visit how they sorted out an insurance mishap quickly and easily for me. If you're looking for an optometrist, I highly recommend Family Eye Care! I'm so happy the practice is still going so close to home and seems to only be improving.
