This report is being submitted by Dennis McKinney and I was the patient. Reception area employees and Nurses were nice to work with for my appointment. Had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for doctor. The examination was approximately 2 minutes. Doctor more concerned about another patient having to wait on him. He stated to me "didn't know why my doctor had referred me to see him." He then proceeded to leave and wanted me to follow-up with him for images as soon as insurance would cover the cost of them. He " stated you are 70 years old and probably it would never amount to anything". At the end of visit of 2 minutes he hurried out the door. I will never return for a follow-up because I felt he really was not concerned about my eye health. I have reported my concerns to my regular eye doctor.

He is done things to my eyesight that other ophthalmologist did not think were possible. I have been a patient of Dr. John Taylor at Discover Vision Center for about 20 years, through some very scary conditions under his diagnosis, treatment and care. He has always been genuinely concerned, listens and responds with clear explanations, and gives the highest quality care. I see Dr. Taylor once a year for a medical exam of my eyes and monitoring of my condition, as well as frames and prescription lenses. Discover Vision also handled lasik surgery for me at about the same time 20 years ago - when it was still under a study. To this day, I have *no* lasik artifact (no scarring), although I once again needed glasses as my vision naturally declined with age. Waiting time is minimal, and checkout is a breeze. Technicians who helped me pick out frames and set up my prescription lenses were very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and caring

If you go there after noon to this place. A 3:15 appointment you will leave at 5:15. This is not a good place to go to if you have an appointment it's just not realistic. It is handicap friendly got an elevator has free parking. This guy takes 10 patients an hour. 80 people day. You're telling me you get quality service at this place. He sees you for 7 minutes the rest of the time you were sitting in the back room. Doing nothing.

Not my favorite eye exam ever. Brand new doctor (my regular doctor at Discover retired). Exam was basically over and eyes dialated by the time I met him. Then he decides to try a different kind of contact (one that lasts a month vs my old kind that lasts 2 weeks) so I agreed. My question, why don't we fit new contacts prior to dialating?? I'm sent home with a new kind of contact (I can't see much of enything--blurry, especially when I read) and dialated eyes. How do you check new contacts with dialated eyes? I feel like that should have been done first, then dialate. Well, a week later and I've still got these same contacts that seem to move around in my eyes or something. I have to really strain to read, etc. I'm sick of not being able to see. I'm waiting on a perscription to arrive in the mail for the old kind of contacts so I can take to Sams. Hopefully the strength is correct, I wouldn't know since I have such a hard time seeing right now anyway. When the Discover contact girl called, she didn't offer a "trial" pair (for my old 2 week kind) while I wait on the order. (I order at Sams since their price is better). It's just frustrating to pay $170 for an exam and not be able to see for a week + after the exam.

From the front desk, to Andrew, the tech that worked with me prior to Dr. Dawson, I can't say enough. My wait time in the waiting room was so minimal I'd barely gotten the seat warm. Same for the exam room. I also shopped for glasses at this location. When all was said and done I spent approximately 1 hour which in my book is favorable. And if it seems too long to some folks, then I attribute that to my experience being very positive. Dr. Dawson has been my eye doctor for at least 5 years. He is always patient and reassuring about the health of my eyes. And is open to questions, never seeming to be in a hurry to get to his next patient.

I know that he is very busy, but why are so many patients scheduled for the same time period? My time is important to me also.

I´m grateful and so happy to Discover Vision for the care of my eyes. I started having some changes on my vision that worried me. I had laser surgery in Mexico on 97 when it was pretty new. It worked for good 10 years then my vision started to go back to what it was. Been using contacts, but noticed my glasses were not enough. I had a consult with Dr. Doan and explained the Crosslinking to me. I researched a little and it´s scary some of the reviews out there, since is a newer procedure, who wants to lose vision as a complication or side effects of surgery. But after talking to Dr. Doan and he answered all my questions, I´m happy that I made the decision to have the procedure done, to stop my Keratoconus. I was aware that this will not fix my vision problem, but it will stop it from becoming worse that I may need a cornea transplant. It was a process, took me about 3 months to recover my vision, but with the help of Dr. Dixon go the contacts that best suit my life style, and I´m so happy for his patience and professionalism. I am wearing Sclera lenses and I love them, they are a little different to get used to, but once you get how to put them on, that was my struggle, I love them, I´m able to see better then I have seen in a long time! I can see the names of the street signs without squinting my eyes. I´ts been a process but it has been worth every day of it, Thank you Dr. Doan and Dr. Dixon!
