I've been going here about 15 years. As a diabetic, eye care is critical. I had been having some issues the last few days. Yesterday, during my exam Dr Kornfeld discovered I had a torn retina that needed to be addressed immediately!! To my surprise, he was able to fix it at his office with a laser! He explained the procedure to me ahead of time, and told me what to expect. I'm thankful to have someone of his expertise monitoring my eyes..

Husband's exam and prescription was acceptable. Glasses by Ann were wrong and she became belligerent when he returned to have them fixed. It took 4 trips to get glasses which is not acceptable. Very disappointed.

Kornfeld is very methodical and has a singular goal to provide the best outcomes possible. Was impressed by his thoroughness and ability to figure out what my issue was. It was something the previous 3 doctors didn’t find. He may be somewhat eccentric in terms of mannerisms or in limiting/controlling when questions can be asked but it’s driven by him following an approach that works. I can respect that, especially given my outcome. I’ll take results over a mediocre doctor with polished people skills.

The exam was fine, Dr. Lazarus was thorough. The only part that bummed me out was that I specifically went to this office to get a certain brand of frames that they carry. They had the frames in one color, and said they could not order the color I want. What they had there was my only option. So now I have to search around for an office that can get the color I want or order online and deal with the hassle of sending a receipt to my insurance for reimbursement. Just seemed really odd to me that they can't order the other colors the frames are offered in.

My only complaint about the cataract surgery was that I was told to be at the output dept at 9:30 a.m. but was left to lie on the surgical stretcher until 12:45 before my surgery took place. As a result I had a severe backache for several days.

I had my annual eye check yesterday. I arrived a little early. I was called early into a comfortable room for an eye check. The young lady that checked me was very nice and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Shortly after she finished with me the Doctor arrived to due a further check and explain what, if any, changes in might eyes he had found. I was very pleased with how I was taken care of and how quickly it all took place. The Doctor, Doctor Michael Korenfeld, did find an abnormality and has scheduled to take care of that for me next Tuesday. Fantastic service and very nice people.

I can not see at all with these glasses. Something went wrong. Whether numbers were written down wrong, or they reversed the numbers, I can not see! Worthless glasses, and it will be years before I can get another exam and glasses through insurance. RUN as fast as you can from this place!

I wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone else that I can think of except Dr. Kornfeld. I have been his patient for over 12 years. He has performed my cataract surgery, as well as that surgery for my husband. He helped me through ophthalmic shingles. His diagnoses have been perfect. His staff is friendly and welcoming, which is important for patients who are undergoing routine exams and surgery/follow-up. Office location is convenient with ample parking for patients.

Dr. Korenfeld recently removed cataracts from my 73-year-old eyes and I highly recommend him. I appreciate that he provides the surgical procedure at Mercy in Washington. I question the professionalism of local optometrists who recommend clients go to a upscale clinic in St. Louis when they could have excellent results done locally. I was glad I could get my surgery done including the prep work in less time than it would take me to travel to St. Louis and back. The Mercy staff was too-notch and I give them excellent reviews for their care. Thank you, Dr. Korenfeld, for your excellent care, eye repair, and concern.
