Excellent place! My dog chewed my frames which I wear only at night and I needed to get ones. I'm on a Very limited budget and was a bit apprehensive to get an exam. I was so impressed no one tried to sell me things I didn't need. I easily scheduled my appointment online/email. I filled all the paperwork out on line before my appointment. I was in and out in under an hour with an affordable pair of glasses. The staff is very friendly and made me feel comfortable although I was clearly not their big sale of the day! I really appreciated their clear communication with me. Their honestly about what I 'didn't need for back up frames' was refreshing! This is a great place I would highly recommend to anyone needing eye care.

Dr. Wilson was great, but the service I received from the office staff was horrible. They told me my glasses would be ready in a week, so I called after 7 days, and was told it would be a couple more days. Called a few days later, was told it would be Monday or Tuesday of the next week, called then and was told Thursday. Took 2 1/2 weeks when I was originally told 7 days! We were lied to repeatedly and they tried to sell me a product that was not the higher quality product that I ordered. I ordered high index lenses and they tried to sell me regular lenses that were extremely thick due to my prescription. They damaged one of the lenses when I went in to pick them up even and told me I would have to come back another day to get it replaced. After I had already waited 2 1/2 weeks. They refunded me for my portion of the glasses, but still have not refunded my insurance company so I cannot go elsewhere to get a good pair of glasses. I have contacted my insurance company to dispute the charges so that I can get a pair of glasses with my new prescription. This has been a headache going on for months now! When my husband purchased his glasses there the previous year, he purchased Oakley frames and was told by one of the ladies that they cannot adjust Oakley glasses. WOW!! Went to another office and paid to have them adjusted due to the inexperience of the staff at Blue Springs Optical. Very dissatisfied with this office, which is a shame because the doctors are great. They just need ALL new office staff if they want to happy customers.

Only getting 1 star due to location and proximity to my home, otherwise, everything else is a '0' star. This place blatantly lies - told me the contacts I have been using for 10+ years were 'not manufactured anymore and I could try another brand'. I had to call the manufacturer myself and explain that it was a simple name change to the contact line and they are in fact still manufactured and sold. Even after that they said "I guess you'll have to find another doctor". ?!!for real?!! This business does not seem to be interested in patient care nor keeping customers happy. My business (3 total people) will be moving to another eye doctor.

1. Difficulty getting the physical prescription after appointment. 2. Unknowingly got a prescription specifically for a new contact brand that I tried and did not like. Thus I was not able to order another brand unless I contact the doctor to have them create one for the other brand. 3. Took a long time to contact my doctor. Had to call other offices and finally reached her. She sounded hesitant to change the brand.

Our entire family has been going to Blue Springs Optical for almost 15 years. That alone should say enough. The office staff are always helpful and pleasant and the doctors are always very knowledgeable. I have seen 3 or 4 of the doctors in the group and have no concerns whatsoever on which one does my examination. Recently I was told that my new replacement lenses would take 1-2 weeks to get in so I set up my routine exam to be at the same time they were putting the new lenses on. I received a call 2 days later saying the lenses were already there and they got me in that same day to have my exam!!! Highly recommend them to everyone.

I heard great things about BS Optical, so I decided to give it a try. I've been wearing glasses or contacts since I was two years old... I am now 25 and can honestly say I've never had service like I have received from Dr. Mitts. Just one month ago, I called to set my first appointment. They got me in right away and I've already been back to check/update how the trial contacts were. At my previous doctor, I tried out about 15 pairs of contacts and finally gave up. I had been wearing my glasses for the last two years, until I left Dr. Mitts' office that first day. I felt like a kid on Christmas!! I finally had the freedom again to be without glasses which I hadn't had in two years. I wanted to drive back to the office and give her a hug. Dr. Mitts also told me information about my eyes that no one had ever told me before. She wasn't afraid to break things down and explain in more simple terms. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mitts and the staff. I am highly impressed.
