My son injured his eye at school @1pm and they were able to squeeze us into their biggest schedule and see my son! They were very sweet and took great care if him. Luckily my son just had a minor corneal abrasion, but eye injuries are very painful, and I am extremely grateful for their empathetic, compassionate, and outstanding care!

Dr. Blatt is so wonderful! He treated myself and my son with such a warm and nice manner. He was very respectful and can be silly with the kids to make them smile. We had previously come from a Dr that was supposed to be "the best" in StL , a guy from Childrens, but he was the worst! That Dr talked down to us and took hours for appts. Dr. Blatt and Dr. Merriman are the exact opposite. They are so friendly and warm and really care about their patients. I have nothing but good things to say about both of them. Highly recommend!

Horrible staff!! Drove 4 hours to have my son seen by this doctor and it was a waste of time and money! Everything was covered by insurance and yet somehow they sent us to collections for a bill that was paid. They did this after we decided not to have these so called specialists do surgery on our child. Do not go to this place!

Not happy with my experience here. I have a bill for $365 for an eye test on my 9 year old son with Dr. Merriman which took about 10-15 minutes and only cost a $25 copay at a previous D. Sadly I was referred to this office by that other doctor (who I am also not happy with for the referral but at least he was receptive when I complained) who suggested that this office had special Pediatric equipment which might be more helpful but when I mentioned that Dr. Merriman acted as though she had no idea. I should have left then but I didn't and then I found out that she was Not in my network (my bad for not verifying) when I received my exorbitant bill. I called the office to ask if they would relieve some of the cost due to the misunderstanding but they were not receptive at all (the front desk is not friendly) so now I have received a letter from a collections agency which means I Must pay or my credit will take a hit. This Warning to others is my only recourse. Please consider Carefully before using this office.

He always gives me a very thorough exam. Office visits are always on time. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I get my glasses from his office and they are great. Once the glasses were not made correctly and the staff was really helpful about getting me another pair.

Terrible experience! Made an appointment with Dr. Blatt, got there and they had put us with another doctor without our knowledge. To top it off, Dr. Merrymen, the doctor they put us with, was not an ophthalmologist as I had requested. Dr. Blatt is in our network but Dr. Merrymen isn't, so not only did they put us with a different doctor, the wrong kind of doctor,,, they also charged us $110.90. They lied when asked about it and Dr. Blatt wouldn't speak to me. I was told he doesn't speak to patients about financial matters. They couldn't have cared less about the fact that all of these wrong's took place, they just wanted the money. I will never go back and I highly recommend you go somewhere else. I have never written a review of any kind before, it's a shame I had to write one at all.

If you need a eye doctor or ophthamologist in Saint Louis, I highly recommend Dr. Blatt. I have used Dr. Blatt for my regular eye exams, eye glasses, contacts and other services. Dr. Blatt is also an eye surgeon who specializes in Strabismus, he surgically corrects complication with your eyes being "cross eyed" or not properly aligned. I highly recommend this Saint Louis Eye Doctor.

Dr. Blatt is FABULOUS!!! He really takes time to care about his patients. He performed strabismus surgery on me and did a EXCELLENT JOB!!!! I am so impressed with the results. He changed my life forever!!! Everyone in his office was a pleasure to work with. He also has a cute little play area in his office to cater to the children while waiting. If you are looking for a good Doctor await no more Dr.Blatt is your answer!!!

I highly recommend this office. Everyone was friendly and personable. Plus, once the doctor came in, he answered all of our questions, gave us answers, and he did not rush us. It was a wonderful experience.

My son has Autism and has been going here for 8.25 years (he's 9 years old). Dr. Blatt has always done what's best for my son regarding surgery and not what is most convenient. Also love their glasses selection, prices, and warranties!

I have been going here for 10 plus years and was notified TODAY (08/07) about a cancellation for tomorrow for my appointment I have had for months. I understand cancellations happen, but when I am notified 24 hours and there are no more availability until three weeks in September it is frustrating. This is especially true when your annual Supply of contacts is running out before then. I asked to speak to the office manager and she said there is something in early September. The inconsistency in apparent availability is disappointing. On top of it, the office manager Laurie said that they have “lots of patients that have been coming for awhile”. It clearly displays the lack of appreciation for the many hours and dollars that I have been spent there. On top of all of this, there was an apology once the entire conversation immediately followed by more negative discourse on how they were not willing to accommodate and a lie about how they have tried to call prior. She continued to interrupt me as I attempted to explain that I wanted to have the soonest appointment and be put on a cancellation list. She hung up on me and when I called back there was a busy signal. It is sad to say, I will not be returning.
