When I ordered my glasses the staff person that waited on me told me they would not order them until they were completely paid for. Low and behold they ordered them without the full payment (I’m guessing it was a mistake) I was not working for a period of time so food and rent comes first. Anyway I went to pick them up and the older lady was rude as hell, I called back to see if she owned the place. She was so irratated she did not try to fit them, ask me how they felt or was I satisfied. She does not know other people circumstances, she has a job now but she might not tomorrow. I could have chewed her up and spit her out, but I much bigger than her you can tell when people are unhappy....because they are mean!

I was very pleased with how my cataract surgery went at Desoto Eyecare. The doctors were very patient in explaining the procedure and discussing my lens implant options and were able to help me decide what would work best for my needs. The Surgical Coordinator took measurements and answered my many questions as well. You leave the appointment with a bag of supplies for the surgery and instructions are typed out so you don't have to remember what to do. I do want to recommend that the medication sheet provided be revised so that it is more clear to someone with poor vision. (After getting the prescriptions filled, we had to call to confirm which drops were for pre-surgery.) The waiting room on the day of surgery was full, but appointments are staggered so the wait was not long. Once called, you are taken back to an area with 4 or 5 patients where we were given drops and sedation. I was nervous, but quite comfortable in a recliner. Conversation was comforting as most of the patients were returning to have cataracts removed from their other eye and all were discussing how easy it was and that they were happy to be treated by these great doctors. Surgery was quick and painless and after my check up the very next day I was even cleared for driving! The worst part of the whole experience was the trauma of going out in public with no mascara.

Rude staff, poor service. Needed to get contacts for my son. When I spoke to the 3rd individual, I was asked to pick out frames. " I need contacts" was my reply. I was informed his prescription was "almost" expired. Had to inquire whether I could get his contacts? "You have to order them". I replied " may I "? " here,fill this out"! " could I borrow a pen? When can I pick them up"? " Maybe the first of next week". "Do I need to check?". " We'll call you ". Jeesh. Never again. Wish I could rate them zero stars.

This place is a joke. I had cataract surgery done on both eyes. One eye is red, swollen and can not see out of it. I have complained and the doctor just blows me off, saying it looks fine. This is a $4,000.00 nightmare. I don't know what to do now. My eyesight is worse than when I went in. I would not send my worst enemy here!!!!

This place is so very rude ! The front desk at Olive Branch is a joke, especially the lady that checks out. Very rude. I came in to get glasses and the young blonde that used to work there isn’t there anymore and she was the best.. but I do love Alexis too.

I went to my eye exam a few weeks ago as a first time patient. Everyone that worked there from the front desk to the doctor was very friendly. The offices are clean and even smell good. Jill really made my experience wonderful. She took extra time with me to help me find the perfect glasses within my budget. She went out of her way to make sure I was happy with the glasses. My glasses were in within just a few days. I highly recommend Desoto EyeCare.

I was a patient at this place in September and my doctor was Dr. Hooker and he took his time with my vision issues and because of his thoroughness discovered that I have a type of glaucoma .I am glad he diagnosed my situation early.I give them five stars for this reason. I don't get caught up in the front desk when writing reviews as much as the doctors getting the diagnosis right. I have been one of the people who have worked behind the desk in a medical atmosphere. people have put in long days are are tired sometimes after dealing with insurance companies,medicare,pharmacies etc. People think because people work behind a desk job that they are not necessarily doing a lot of work therefore they should not be tired. I have come to learn that there is plenty of work being done and we have to be more patient with each other. I am not a paid reviewer , but a satisfied customer/patient. I received reminders before my appointment date from the staff which I so do appreciate.

If I could leave no stars I would for the front desk in Olive Branch. They did not greet me, they were rude and the one that checks out was texting on her phone the whole time. I did not have a great experience, UNTIL I got ready to pick out my glasses and the young lady with the blonde hair was super nice. She helped me pick out a nice pair of glasses and was completely honest with me. She made my experience 100 times better.

I would not recommend having your eyeglass prescription filled here. They made a critical error in filling my prescription eyeglasses by not putting prisms in them and they don't even care. I was in so much pain with migraine headaches I did not know what was wrong so I took the glasses back 3 times to Desoto Eye care. They never took to time enough to verify that my glasses were correct. They told me my frames were wrong for my face and I needed to buy another pair of glasses. So- I went to Eclectic Eye in Memphis and they took one look at my glasses and knew they did not have prisms in them. By this time my migraine headaches were so bad from the missing prisms I was already being followed by a neurologist and on 3 different medications for migraine headaches. When I called the administrator at Desoto eye care to explain what happened to me she did not even care enough to to call me back. I have had to call over and over again and all I get told is that I can not get my money back on the original pair of glasses that was filled correctly because they have a 30- 60 day return policy. I can understand that on glasses that someone was unhappy about but not on glasses that were a mistake and that caused such an imbalance in my neurological system that I now have to take medication. And as a patient I don't even deserve a retune phone call or an apology for that matter. Very uncaring staff and they should clean house starting with the top!

The long blonde haired girl at the front desk is so rude. She needs to pick a profession she can at least act like she enjoys. Then I get my glasses that I had to wait a month to get and surprise surprise they are missing a piece on the front. Sadly it is not even worth the trouble to tell them to fix it.

Made an appointment and had to reschedule, when I showed up at the rescheduled time they had no record of my appointment. The front desk is seriously lacking customer service. They could not "fit me in" the day of my new appointment either. There are other options for eye care in the area, do NOT waste your time here; they have no problem with customer inconvenience.

Staff was great. Dr. suck! 3 hrs wait. My mom has a stroke and needed care. Dr was working on getting floor tiles repaired. Other patients says he just come and goes as he pleases, never thinking of the patients. Terrible!

My son is a welder and was "flashed" by a careless coworker. We went to the ER and they called DeSoto Eye Care for further evaluations. We we're immediately seen by Dr. W at DeSoto Eyecare. Nothing but the best care was given to my son! We arrived 30 mins before closing and the staff was amazing! Dr. W was caring, very informative and professional. I would highly suggest this Dr office to anyone! 5

First impression is everything. I would like for when I call a professional place of business for the person on the other end to at least seem eager to help rather than annoyed or disturbed that I am calling. Maybe it was just a bad day for her, but first impression is the key. So I didn’t even finish scheduling my appointment because of that.

I find them to file on insurance . they file to the advantage of the clinic and not for the patient. Eye exam without insurance is 80.00 . Eye exam with insurance 225.00 . I called eye .Med and the didn't file. With them. Not sure who paid for the glasses. They ate sticking me with a 137.00 bill . Because they didn't file With eye med insurance witch would have been a 10.00 copay for me

I had my first appointment with Dr. Annie Hao this morning and I couldn't have been happier. The office was easy to find, clean and the staff is extremely sweet!! I could not pick out a pair of frames (they have a TON to choose from) so they all chimed in to help - even Dr. Hao. She's the sweetest. They are professional, outgoing and I will refer them to everyone :)

This is the worst experience that I have ever had at an established business. Because of the laziness and unprofessional behavior of the front desk. First of all she came into the waiting room and called my name and told me out loud in front of everyone that my insurance was no good! I knew it was a lie I questioned her and she repeated again out loud. I stepped outside and verified myself because she was too lazy to do her job and I she was also in breach of my privacy being confidential. Even though she lied it was very humiliating for me and it also set me back 50 minutes from my appointment. Then to top it off the Dr. Did nothing fore. He rushed through the exam. I will never go there again I also will. Not let will not let it rest.

I came to this office a week ago by recommendation and was seen by Dr Wertheimer who was fantastic in that first diagnosis and treatment ( I recommended him to my family and friends ) I went back in yesterday morning for a routine follow-up exam and was told he would change my eye-drop dosage- and add a different eye drop... when I asked if he could write down the daily change for me , he raised his voice and told me I didn't need to HAVE HIM DO THAT" - his assistant was standing right there (April, I believe). ... Condescending completely to me . I may not have gone to medical school , but I do have multiple degrees from Brown University, Harvard and the Rhode Island School of Design. I left feeling humiliated and confused- having to depend on my pharmacist at Freds in Hernando to explain it all to me

I am completely confused about the negative reviews. I have been going to the Olive Branch location since they opened and have always had a great experience. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have a pretty good selection of frames and if you want something they don't stock they will order it for you. I really like Oakley frames and the ones I wanted they didn't have. They ordered them and called me two days later to come in to check them out. They fit well so they sent them off to have the lenses put in them. Always a great experience!!

I could not have asked for better care! I had cataracts removed from both eyes with one week between each surgery. Dr. Shaeffer and his staff have been outstanding. The office staff has been friendly and most courteous. Everyone there has gone out of their way to answer questions and provide excellent care. The time spent in the waiting room has not been overly long and this is one busy place. My husband has his appointment with them tomorrow and I'm sure he will receive the same excellent level of care that I have had.

The staff upfront was rude to me for absolutely no reason. I grabbed a pair of women's glasses off of the men's shelf and liked them. They were 50/50 in terms of masculine/feminine (like I really care), and I couldn't tell the difference because I don't care. The women up front walked up to me and discreetly said, "Uh, those are women's glasses." I said, "Oh are they?" "Yeah, you should really get men's." -I was really curious why she'd care- "How come?" "Those just don't look very good on you." "Okay?" Then I proceeded to look at other men's glasses, and the 30 year old seeming woman (short, chubby, brown hair, attitude) started nitpicking each of MY CHOICES for men's glasses. It's none of your business what I choose, even if I had deliberately chosen women's glasses! If they work, I don't care! Maybe if you were doing your job, the women's glasses you have a problem with wouldn't be on the men's shelf. Sitting at her desk saying, "Those are okay", "I don't know about those", "Those are WAYYY better than those you had before." I didn't ask you for your opinion at all! I gave absolutely no indication that I wanted your help choosing. All I asked about was what my insurance would cover, nothing more. She wasn't trying to be helpful when she judged what I picked up. She was trying to get me out the door. I'm surprised I didn't say anything to her. I was kind the entire time and had no undertone speaking to her, even when she had a tone, rolled her eyes, and shared looks with her coworker when I picked up pairs. Dreadful. I like what I like, and you made me feel bad about it. If management wants to contact me, I'll gladly let you know who the woman was. You guys need to get your attitudes in check

I WENT TO PICK UP MY GLASSES. THE GLASSES WERE LOOSE AND FALLEN FROM MY FACE. THE FIRST LADY BENT THEM AND THEY BROKE. SHE HAD TO ORDER ANOTHER PAIR. THE NEXT TIME I WENT TO PICK THEM UP, A DIFFERENT LADY HELPED ME. SHE TOOK THEM TO THE BACK AND DIPPED THEM AND BROUGHT THEM BACK AND THEY FIT NOW. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE. I made an appointment for 1-13-17 @ 10:15 & got here the lady at the front desk said they didn't have me down for today & would work me in.its a room full of people & i have cervical dystonia not a good combination. I wish they took down my info so I wouldn't be waiting all day.not happy to say the least: ( I called today 2-3-17 to see if my glasses was ready for pickup...still not in ! I was told 7-10 days & they would be in.No such luck...Last time coming here for sure. :/

I had a pleasant experience with my eye exam, the opthal. didn't try to push unnecessary test on me like dilating my eyes when it wasn't necessary and especially the eye glass area it went smoothly and they were very helpful when my lens needed some adjustment. I do with they had more choices but it went well.
