Let me start off by saying this place does not even deserve the one star I gave them if it was up to me they would revive no stars from me. I took my friend here. We had our 2 children there her son 3 years old my son 4 years old. What ever you do please don't go there with young children. One of the ladies at the front desk with long blond hair walks over after they call my friend back to see the eye doctor and rudely says" y'all need to shout up. This is not a damn daycare this is a doctor's office color these and shut up". She said this all with an attitude. I was so mad that if I said something I would have probably punched the woman in the face. My friend was not back with the doctor but for about 10 mins. I told my friend I'm sorry but I will not ever take you back to that place again not even to pick up her glasses she will have to get someone else take her. I REPETE IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN DONT GO HERE!

My experience with this place was good till i meet the eyeglass lady front desk and doctor was great, people were helpful. But my frames were loose and i was told that are suppose to be that way i have gone back twice and they are still loose and the transition lenses are not right I have been wearing glasses a long time and know when thew don't fit right and the arms should not be loose. She tried to make me feel like i did not know what i was talking about . I will not go back here again even if i have to pay for glasses without insurance.

I had a wonderful experience here a few days ago. I didn't read any reviews before going and after reading them tonight I have to wonder if a lot of folks went to the same place I did. Dr. Schaeffer and all of the staff members I interacted with were professional, helpful, patient and thorough. I had some small cysts removed and have made another appointment for an exam. While I was there I saw employees helping folks (young and old) select frames. Everyone seemed pleased and were all smiles. I also saw how the staff treated a mom with a young daughter. Splendid customer service. I am thrilled to have found this eye clinic.

I did not receive a thorough eye exam as usual. Poor service from the Doctor. I will not be returning and definitely do not recommend this Eye Care facility. The only reason I scored a 2 instead of a 1 is because the physician assistant was supportive with ordering my contacts.

Very rude staff. They even gossip about others while there are clients listening. The doctor does not engage in any conversation or make you feel comfortable. Also, does not explain things or ask questions. You are rushed and pretty much herded like cattle. They don't call you when your products arrive, you have to call them and see. Never even placed an order for my contacts one time. Don't give much help when it comes to picking out frames and they will constantly ask are you done? Will be going to olive branch eye care.

I love this eye doctor's office!!! The staff is all very sweet to me and especially to my daughter! They are all very accommodating especially Ms. Amanda!! She came around the front counter and greeted us and made my daughter laugh and smile (which is normally hard to do since she's very shy). I recommend this office to anyone and everyone! Where do I start, the staff is kind and courteous, very polite and professional, the wait was not long at all, they assisted me as mush as the could within a timely manner. They provided me with all the information I needed in regards to my insurance and vision information. I would strongly recommend coming here.

This place dropped the ball from the first time I called. Receptionist was rude. Made an appointment anyways (because it’s close.) Arrived to a very snobby SET of receptionists that could hardly find my name. After 2 months of trying to get contacts AND after receiving 2 sets of trial pairs, then I call to find out the status and you guessed it! NO- they are not in yet. Geez, this place is so unprofessional, unorganized and unfriendly! I think I will pay double to drive across town.

I would rate this place in the negatives in possible. I dread going to this place. Every time I go, the employees are very rude. The girl with the short hair should be fired immediately. She's the worst of all- taking personal calls, talking about other employees in front of everyone and just being flat out mean to the people that walk in. When I walked in today, someone had to tell her to calm down while she talked to someone on the phone about her internet bill. I would not advise going here. Anywhere else would be better than here.

Wish I would have read these reviews before going here because this was the worst eye exam experience I've ever had. The exam was rushed and the Dr seemed reluctant to believe me when I told him the contacts he put me in didn't feel right or correct my vision. I went back a week later and made him do a new exam. New presciption but same result. I've been wearing contacts my entire life (I'm 40) and have never encountered a Dr who seems to care less about what his patients are telling him. Front desk employees were nice but that's the only good thing about this place. Save your money, go anywhere else.

showed up a little early for my appointment and still ended up having to wait almost thirty minutes after my appointment time to get eye exam, only to be told that they did not have my lense nor would i be able to receive glasses in the near future. terrible wait time considering i had a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT.

I went with my mom today And the lady that she had to go to after she picked out her frames had a nasty attitude. Like if you hate your job that bad then quit. I was sitting down looking at the lady mean mug my mom while she was picking out her glasses. And then rolled her eyes when she had to go in the back to ask a question about the glasses. Like you work in customer service. Have better social skills all around the office. Would not recommend go somewhere else in Olive Branch.

Let's just say I will never go back to this awful rude place ever again! The Doctor was screaming at me the entire time as he removed a cyst on my eyelid Very unprofessional as if he was better than me! When I got ready to leave I told him thank you and have a nice day, he never said a word. Do yourself a favor go somewhere they respect you and treat you as they are happy to get your business. Desoto Eye Care doesn't care if you come back or even if you're there. The Doctor is a prick!

The lady that prepped me was extremely polite and very likable. Dr. Hooker simply acted like he would rather be any place but there. Forgot to do my contact exam, blamed it on the young lady who prepped me (I even saw on the report that she pulled up where she wrote that I wanted glasses and contacts, so I know it was him). He then told her that she should have "told" him. I felt bad for her. (Note to people in positions of authority: it is -never- acceptable to berate the people who work for you, especially in front of patients.) The man should not be practicing, period. I wish I had read the reviews here first. Also, it took three weeks for me to get my glasses, and when I finally called, they told me they had been ready for three days.

I hate when a company just lies to my face I'm not blaming the doctors, but the front office staff. I had an appointment and when I showed up the receptionist said "oh i tried calling you yesterday" No you didnt. I received 18 calls including 2 other doctor's appointments that had to be rescheduled. You either dialed wrong or added the wrong prefix since I'm neither 662 or 901. If you would say "I meant to call" and told me that you dialed the wrong number I'd have more respect for you then when you just LIE. Desoto Eyecare, that is ths caliber of office staff you have working for you. Bold faced liars. Thankfully you have other locations that seem more reliable.

Horrible experience here. A little late on this review but here it is.. I went for an eye check up and was seen by Dr. Schaeffer. First of all, I had to wait a very long time (about 1 hour) because the DR was on a personal phone call right down the hall. I had a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. It was really rude and unprofessional for the DR to have me waiting for him to finish his personal call when he was aware I was there waiting on him. That wasn't the worst of that appointment. He gave me a very big scare saying I may have glaucoma. I asked several questions and he wasn't able to answer them. I really felt like he just didn't like me. I DIDN'T go back and went to get checked somewhere else where I was told I do NOT have glaucoma. You cannot just tell somebody you may have glaucoma without any basis! I found out he has told this to other people, so beware.

Wow. This was, no exaggeration, the worst doctor's office experience I have ever had. It was my first visit here. I was not greeted when I walked in. The staff at the front desk did not even return my greeting of "Hi. How are you doing?". So I sat in the waiting area, kept to myself, and read a book while I waited (for over an hour). In the time that I waited, I heard the girls at the front desk insult me, other customers, and even their other coworkers. I had no desire to overhear their conversation, but unfortunately, these girls either have no control of their volume, or simply don't care about being heard. Even though I was patient, polite, and kept to myself, they called me "weird" and they also made some unpleasant remarks about my appearance, even though I was sitting right by their desk. The only person who was polite was the young lady who prepped me for my eye exam, so kudos to her for being nice in an office full of awful and rude little girls. I waited for about 30 minutes in the examination room for the doctor. When he came in he said, "Paul?" and I said, "Yes, Hi. How's your day been so far?" He ignored my question and said, "Let's get started on this eye exam." That was truly all he said to me except "Read that row." and "1 or 2?" The eye exam went way too quickly and I felt very rushed. At one point I asked to see the "1,2" again and the doctor made a groaning sound before reluctantly showing me the two options again. After the exam was over, I thought "Well, at least it's basically over. Can't get any worse, right?" Wrong. I went to pick out glasses. The girl who was "helping" me kept making me try on glasses I didn't want (and also kept pushing the most expensive brands on me). When I found some that I liked, I took them to her and said "I like these a lot. I'll pick these." She made a disgusted look and said, "Really?? Those? They don't look good on you." I said, "Well these are the ones that I want." She looked at me like I was insane and said, "There's a lot of brands here. Why don't you pick some other ones?" I said, "No. These are the ones that I want. Isn't it my choice?" She acted offended and said, "I was just trying to help you pick better glasses because those don't look good." After that, she gave me the silent treatment and rushed me out the door. Who hired these horrible, rude, appalling girls? I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria, trying to sit at the popular girls table, only to be rejected and insulted for even trying. It's an eye doctor's office, not your Senior Year Homeroom. These little girls need to grow up and learn to respect their clientele. If you have even one shred of respect for yourself, don't go to this place. You will be insulted and degraded just for stepping through the door.

The service is terrible. The front desk did not greet us when we walked in or walked out. There was only one lady that was actually nice and welcoming. The doctor even seemed rude---wish I could rate this place with a lower review. I have Mississippi Medicaid so I had the option getting insurance glasses. The lady with the trays didn't speak or really helped with anything. She seemed like she didn't want to be there or had a huge attitude.
