Dr Patterson went above and beyond and ultimately saved my sight. I was previously misdiagnosed, but through his knowledge and expertise, he found the cause of the infection. He is very thorough, friendly, and even stayed late. Was extremely impressed!

Warren Wessel

Dr Moss may have saved my eye sight by property diagnosing my pituitary tumor. Thank you Dr Moss. I am forever indebted to you.

Extremely rude receptionist today. She actually hung up on me.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Moss for 3 years now and have been very pleased with all of my visits. His demeanor is calm and reassuring. He’s very professional and answers all of my questions throughly. I’ve also had very positive interactions with Angie, who does the contact lens fittings and related exam. The office is well-run, I’ve never waited for my appointment and communication is excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Moss and this practice.

As a woman I would avoid Dr. Adam Moss. He asked me inappropriate questions of a personal nature totally outside the bounds of what I would consider professional conduct. This didn't happen on the first visit but violated my patient trust nonetheless. Because I needed ongoing care I had to scramble to find another provider outside of McChannel. It was not only inconvenient but also stressful. I canceled all my future appointments at McChannel through the front desk but then afterwards he started calling me at home repeatedly. This went on for over a week until it stopped. I hope sharing my experience helps someone.

I've been a patient at McCannel for the past few years. Their attention to my well being is what sets them apart from other health practitioners I see. They always take the time to gather thorough information abou,t not only my vision, but my general health. Another great thing about the McCannel team is their availability--they follow old school doctoring rules. If you have a concern after hours, you can actually reach one of them, in person if needed. This is so rare for doctors in general but something I've never experienced in my 20 plus years of navigating fussy eyes. Keep up the great work!!

I brought my 13 year old in in an emergency walk in basics. He had uveitis and we had a terrible experience down the street. Dr. Moss was with us for over an hour. He asked the right questions, ordered appropriate bloodwork and ultimately helped us get an important life long diagnosis. The follow up care is phenomenal. We are so thankful to have this clinic as home base!

I have been a patient at McCannel eye for over 10 years and with Dr. Afiat specifically for nearly 5 years now. She is caring, compassionate, a great listener, highly skilled, and very thorough. When I have had an emergency (foreign object, severed dry eye) I have been able to get in same day with either Dr. Afiat or other doctors in the practice who have provided excellent care and concern. Love the rest of the office staff and techs as well! Well-run, efficient and caring practice.

Dr. Afiat's exams and forthright, thoughtful conversation with me about my middle-aged eyes and the changes they're undergoing was enormous help to me. If my family was local, I'd try to send all of them to McCannel.

I had two experiences; a good one and a bad. I had two back-to-back appointments, one to fit contact lenses followed by a visit to Dr. Scott Sanderson. He was wonderful. However, the woman who was checking my prescription and fitting me for contact lenses was the worst experience I have ever had - because she was using some awfully unethical upselling strategies. First, she flat out refused to write me a prescription for Acuvue 2 contact lenses (the lenses I had and loved for years) in order to upsell me to the more expensive Oasys. She said Acuvue 2s were being discontinued, but that is simply not true. I had to have the ophthalmologist send the prescription back to her when I saw him afterward. Then, the woman gave me a new Acuvue 2 prescription with the wrong size (she had just examined my eyes, I presumed she did this so they would not fit me well when I received them.) Fortunately, I noticed this before placing the order, so I went back to have the prescription updated again. She really gave me the run around, and I will not be going back there for contacts.

I've been wearing contacts for 10 years. Approximately 6 years ago, I went to monthly contact lenses and within that time frame, have slowly progressed further down the negative spectrum, most recently being at -1.75. Dr. Moss and his team identified that my sight should actually be closer to -1.25: -1.5 dependent on the eye. Additionally, the team properly diagnosed that my contacts were irritating my eyes and directed me to a daily lens that wouldn't be an irritant. They also provided me with eye drops that would clear up the irritation. I'm grateful to the team, as my eyesight is clearer and my eyes are not constantly itchy. I've seen multiple doctors over the past few years, as I've moved and not one was able to properly identify these things.

Many thanks to the McCannel Eye Clinic staff for always providing a positive experience when I visit. Even though my needs have been minor---eye exams, foreign particle removal, new progressive glasses, and free frame adjustments---the staff has always made me feel that my simple needs are worthy of their greatest attention and knowledge and deserving of my utmost satisfaction. Many praises to a clinic that I would definitely recommend! =)

John O'Brien

I switched my eye clinic and drove far out of my way because of the uniquely caring and skilled services I have received from the team at McCannel Eye Clinic--and I've referred friends to this clinic enthusiastically.
