I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Schwartz and his staff. He performed PRK surgery on both eyes 8 years ago. The follow up was thorough and scheduling flexible. I am now scheduled to have cataract surgery on both eyes and have complete faith in his skill and expertise. His staff is thorough and competent. While both locations are a drive for me, I would prefer to go to him than find a doctor whose office is located in a more convenient, accessible location. People to own their experience and take some of the responsibility for not speaking up (in a courteous manner), asking questions, or inquiring if they feel something or someone is off base.

I was really happy with my Lasik experience at Associated Eye Care. After a thorough exam, I met with the Ophthalmologist that would be performing my surgery, Dr. Lane. He presented me with the typical outcomes and limitations given my eye measurements and he answered all of my questions. The procedure was a bit uncomfortable but very quick and totally worth it. The hours following the procedure were uncomfortable too but Dr. Lane called me that evening to make sure I was feeling better. In short, the whole experience was smooth and exceeded my expectations.

My first time here was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The clinic itself is a very clean place, very organized, and a spacious waiting area. A nice little coffee and tea set up so you can grab some quick tea or coffee near the entrance. I used to go to Allina health clinic in Woodbury for eyes checkup, but my new eye Doctor at associated eye care quickly found out that I have optic disc drusen and I was put on specialized eye drops. I have also purchased some eyeglasses from the store in the clinic, I like my frames so far. I had an issue with one nurse some appointment in the past, I’m not sure whether not she was having a bad day, but when she was testing the pressure of my eyes with the machine she didn’t go so gently about it, and she was getting pretty frustrated that I was trying to avoid the pain. I think that was the only problem I had first since I started going to this clinic but so far so good. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to get their eyes checked.

Following Cataract surgery several years ago, I experienced a slight blurring in one eye and Dr. Wu determined it was scar tissue and could be removed by laser capsulotomy. Dr. Schwartz is the best. However when I checked in for a follow up visit the receptionist assumed that because I am African American I was on some type of Medicare or state assistance medical insurance. I advised her that she offended me, she left only to come back and speak with me again about Medicare. I told her again that I was offended and I just wanted to wait for Dr. Schwartz and she finally left. My experience with her was very odd.

Love my Eye Doc, but the confusing process for an exam leads to long wait times. Saw 2 different techs in 2 different rooms before being escorted to the other side of the building to see the Doctor. Why are you moving all the older patients all over the building. I saw an elderly couple lose each other as they were both being seen as patients and were on opposite sides in different waiting rooms. It was difficult for some of the seniors to get up and out of chairs and they were made to do so at least 3 times. Usually in health care, the patient stays in one spot and the more mobile staff moves around to accommodate the patients. Very awkward and inefficient. Plus it took an hour and 40 minutes for simple straight forward exam and refraction. Staff is nice, organization is confusing.

I went in today for my 2 sons yearly exams. The receptionist told me that my one sons appointment was canceled and the other one had been moved to another day. I scheduled these appointments a year ago because they are so busy and did not change them. On three other occasions we have received calls from the clinic informing us that we need to reschedule because of various reasons. The last time we were in we didn't see anyone until a 1/2 hour after our scheduled appointment time. My family of 5 will be going to one of the many other local clinics in search of a better experience for our exams and contacts

Update: Optical Store manager took care of my problem. Good work and much appreciated! Great eye care service from Dr. Laura Capelle, but an awful optical store at the Stillwater, MN location. Dealt with a terribly grumpy and irritable employee when picking out my frames on 4/06/18, and to boot my recent eye glass order was a complete cluster. So bottom line, I recommended Associated Eye Care for medical care for your eyes but DO AVOID for ordering and or purchasing eye ware. My new frames and lenses were ordered on April 6! It is April 25 and they have still not arrived! And they are still charging me FULL price.

Dr Park is an amazing and competent physician. He discovered I have glaucoma after another eye doctor told me I had macular degeneration and was “watching it” for changes. He removed my cataracts and placed stents in my eyes to equalize the pressure, and so far the eye pressure is doing very well. I expressed my appreciation to him for making the diagnosis, on my last visit. He was very humble in accepting my praise of his abilities. I strongly encourage people to have Dr Park as their Eye Doctor.

Be concerned of extra services - Their service is good, but they add in services, exams and tests without confirming that you need them or they are covered by insurance. You may think that it will only be a small copay, and a month later there is a few hundred dollar bill. I asked if they felt any responsibility and they indicated it was up to my and my insurance to decipher if their tests were needed or covered... really?

I had wanted to get LASIK for years but just kept putting it off. I spoke with several of my coworkers who had all got the procedure done at Associated Eye Care and were very pleased with the results. I scheduled my initial consultation late in 2015 and the actual surgery in January 2016. During the whole process the staff at Associated Eye Care were extremely helpful and very straightforward in providing information about the procedure. During the initial visit I scheduled the surgery and all the post-op visits. I was also given an exact price for the procedure. I never felt that there were going to be hidden costs or surprises down the road. I met with Dr. Lane and he walked me through the procedure and what to expect. Again, he was very straightforward and told me what to expect both during and after surgery. The actual procedure went very smoothly. It has been a week and a half past surgery and my vision is great! At my one week post-op visit i was 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other; and my vision seems to be getting better with each passing day. It has been an adjustment the past few days reminding myself I don't have to take out or put in my contacts - but I think I will get used to it! Overall I was very pleased with my experience and am wishing I had done this years ago. I would not hesitate to recommend Associated Eye Care to anyone considering LASIK!

My daughter was seen last year about high pressures in her eye they fit her in as a emergency every time the symtoms came back about 4 times a week they saw her. All the staff were so nice. Because her issue is rare she was seen at U of M she would spike in pressures then go down. 1st Dr at the U saw her when they were down, he thought others miss read the pressures. Her eye was swollon shut at one point in the past, I was so upset she could loss her eye. I called Asso eye Dr Tienor who in turn called U of M to assure the pressures were high. Finally saw Dr Wright at the U my daughter original Dr who did eye surgery on her other eye about 10 years ago. Dr Wright did more tests concluded that my daughter needed surgery. All went well. Thank you Dr. Tienor!!! You rock. We will continue to have my daughter see Dr. Tenor for future check ups.

I recently had lasik done on both eyes at Associated Eye Care. I visited the clinic for the very first time to do a consultation and was immediately impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the comforting atmosphere of the clinic. I have always been scared at the thought of lasik but decided to consider it because I knew it would be a life-changing decision. The staff and Dr. Park did a wonderful job educating me about the procedure and giving me the confidence I needed to make my decision. On the day of the surgery, staff greeted me with smiles. Andrew, a very friendly surgery counselor sat down with me before the procedure and carefully went over my post surgery eye drop routine and answered any last minute questions I had (I was extremely nervous and had many). I went into the surgery feeling confident I had such knowledgeable people working on my eyes and left feeling equally as confident with a huge smile on my face. It's been about two weeks since the surgery and I can't help but feel like this was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Facility is impressive, but not very patient friendly. Waiting room was crowded and the wait was long (either they overbooked, were behind or are understaffed). My exams went smoothly but the staff were impersonal and unapologetic. This was my first time to Assoc. Eye Care's Stillwater location and it will be my last.

I came in with a swollen left eye lid and very painfully eye. I called and able to get service in 24 hours and get a treatment that resolved my eye issue.

Everyone was pleasant, but literally no one introduced themselves to us. Some guy came in and did most of the eye exam with my son. (Who was he? I just don't know!) Then 2 ladies came in. I'm guessing one was a scribe because she was typing stuff and the other who I'm guessing was the doctor did a super quick exam and talked really fast. My son is an infant and this was our first time there, so I had no idea who these people were.

Dr. Lane needs to retire. He doesn't listen and has messed up 2 lasik procedures in our family. We also always have insanely long waits to get seen. I had to leave an appointment once because I had been waiting for almost 2 hours. Ridiculous.

I had a wonderful experience as a new patient of Dr. Laura Capelle. All of the staff members I encountered, both in the clinic and in the optical area, were warm and welcoming. Dr. Capelle was very professional during my exam and she took the time to discuss my results thoroughly.

If I could give 0 stars for their schedulers I would. They are rude and I was told incorrect information several times. Because of this, I went in for a useless appointment, which I was of course billed for. And then told to come back by the doctor I saw because she couldn't do what I needed. She even said the schedulers should have known. Then when I called back to schedule again, they tried to do the same thing. Tell me I would just be coming in for the first of 2 appointments. Called and spoke to at least 3 different people who all were very unprofessional. Seems like a nice clinic with good doctors. I just do not appreciate being billed extra, treated poorly, and wasting my time.
