I had my surgery last fall and my experience from start to finish was great. I have dryer eye, so Dr. Yaldo recommended a different type of surgery, because regular LASIK can cause very dry eyes. He caters the surgery to what is best for you. During the surgery the staff was very kind and Dr. Yaldo made sure to explain everything so that I wasn’t nervous. I highly recommend Dr. Yaldo.

Had lasik 2 days after inquiring about it. Same day vision evaluation and procedure following good vision evaluation. Everyone at the office was super friendly and couldn't have been better. O.D. and surgeon were great with all of my questions and evaluations. Next day at the checkup my vision was better than pre procedure already, although eyes are still healing. Almost no light sensitivity the very next day. Very little discomfort. I used to have hyperopia of about +3 diopters and +4.25. With glasses i had about 20/30 vision Vision test less than 24 hours after lasik procedure showed 20/30 to 20/40 vision even while my eyes are still dry and cloudy from the healing process.

Do your homework. It doesn't always work out the way they advertise it. I had problems with one eye and bought the insurance but they were not very helpful getting the bad eye correct.

I must be the only person who did not have great results from my procedure. First of all, right before the procedure the power went out. Like 5 minutes before the procedure. I was nervous before but this made my anxiety skyrocket. This was not the fault of the office so I don’t blame them. I was called back later in the afternoon. I told the nurses and the doctors REPEATEDLY that I was extremely nervous bordering on panic. I was very clear and vocal and my concerns were not taken seriously. When laying on the table I began to panic and Dr. Yaldo was extremely condescending and said, “wait until you have children...this is nothing.” Well I have had 2 children via c section as well as serious abdominal, facial, and chest surgery and various medical surgeries and procedure in my life and NEVER was so anxious. He laughed away my concerns and anxiety with condescension. He completed the procedure and yelled at me during it. I was shaking so bad I had a hard time being still. Other people from other doctors have said that a nurse was there to provide emotional and moral support but I had none of that. When I went home I never had the “miraculous” practically overnight perfect vision that everyone is so happy about. I am a year and a half since my surgery. I have been going to appointments every few months. I get the same response- my eyes are dry and that is why I can’t see. It is still very difficult to drive at night (glare). I cannot read subtitles on my television from less than 5 feet away. I now have to wear reading glasses (which I was warned might happen and I know is a common side effect). I also still need to wear glasses for seeing at a distance to go to movies, to drive, to see theatre, and to watch tv. But now I can’t even wear contacts. At my appointments several times I have had to wait over an hour even though arriving before the appointed time. The nurse likes to diagnose me and give me her opinion on what she thinks the doctor will say. I don’t think this is professional, but I brush it off. I bought the surgery insurance but when I just made the lastest appointment today I was asked for my medical insurance. I am unsure why I had to give the information as I never have ever had to have my insurance billed in the past year and a half. It has been all covered by my initial payment and insurance. I was told that any follow ups after 6 months goes to insurance but in the year and a half, I have never had to provide the insurance information. The woman was unsympathetic when I explained this and said I just needed to fix it with the billing department when I came in. I am not writing this to slam the Yaldo eye center. I am just writing to let people know that it is not a miracle procedure. I have had many issues there. Things can go wrong. They make you sign a waiver about complications, and they do happen. You may end up worse than going in. I completely regret having this done and would never recommend it to anyone. My vision is worst now than before the procedure but I can’t even wear contacts. Waste of my money and time. I am extremely depressed about it as it has reduced my quality of life immensely. This is the biggest regret of my life and the staff at the center is unsympathetic to my issues and just tell me to wait and come back in a few months and check again. That is the risk you take when signing the release forms. In the back of my mind alway I am wondering if I had gone to a different doctor if I would have had the same results or the same level of aftercare.

My experiences have been poor so far. You are treated as a Dollar Amount. In the beginning everything went smoothly, staff was nice, Dr.Yaldo was attentive and friendly back in Sept of 2016. Once I signed on the dotted line and spent $3600 dollars, things changed quickly. During the day of surgery myself and two others were getting prepped. It was like a assembly line, patient in and out quick fashion. When it was my time, it felt cold and the care was gone. It was rushed and then sent on my way. My results are OK I guess, my right eye is much worse compared to my left. Enhanced Yes....eyesight even?... not at all. I went in today 6/22/2017 to get a checkup and because I still have bad light sensitivity and have to wear sun glasses constantly. My appointment was at 3pm EST and after waiting 73mins (30min in the lobby and 33mins in the office after the attendee looked at my eyes) I left. I got an apology but the problem is that "I" your "patient" don't feel cared for at all. It seems unless your a new client to get surgery that you don't get equal care.

I had my first surgery on Sep 2013, my left eye has good vision after the surgery, but not the right eye. The right eye saw things very blurry, so I went back to ask them to correct my right vision, they gave me at least 5 reasons and tried not to correct my vision, but I insisted that the doctor didn't do it right, finally the doctor redid my right eye. And the vision got better, but perfect. At that time I bought the insurance($800) for 5 years for free touch up if needed. I just called, they said the insurance is already expired because I didn't go back to do annual check up the past 2 years. what a rip off. I won't recommend this eye center to anyone.

Dr. Yaldo has changed my life!!! I had worn glasses for over 60 years when I went for my consultation. Dr. Yaldo was thorough and professional and told me everything I needed to know about the cataract procedure he would be performing. After speaking with my co-worker and learning about his experience, I felt more at ease of going through with the procedure. My experience has been just as positive. The procedure was painless and I was able to see very clear the next day. I did experience some haziness within the following days, but that is normal and it went away within a week of my surgery. Dr Yaldo and his staff are terrific! I had my LASIK surgery in mid September of 2018 and enjoy better than 20/20 vision now. Dr Yaldo does all of the surgical procedures personally and has corrected the vision of more than 30,000 people including me. Highly recommended!! I was back for a touch up in my distance eye yesterday 25-JUL-2019 and Kristina was awesome! She went into detail about what to expect and she even followed up via phone afterwards after the surgery via phone to make sure I was ok. I took advantage of the free consultation, after finding out I am a perfect candidate I took the weekend to think about it. I called Monday morning and left a voicemail for the person who went over the process with me. I also sent two emails to this same person, but no response. I called again the following day and left a voicemail in the general mailbox, again, no response. Last and final try, I called and spoke to the receptionist asking her why I did not receive a call back, I was told the person I had the consultation with was on vacation. The receptionist then called the person filling in and left that person a voicemail on my behalf, again no response.

I love Dr Yaldo and his staff and this is my story. I have a rare issue i had prepubescent cataracts. this means i as a baby had my lenses removed and have had to use thick glasses all my life. I spoke to a lot of doctors through my live and no one was willing to help me have a better quality of life (to see better, to drive, to have freedom). Dr Yaldo is the first one who gave me a honest shake. he told me that this would be a rare surgery and told me what the results may be, then told me what could happen if i tired this this procedure. I took about 2 months for my wife and i to make a decision. after the research and putting it off, i made the appointment with Dr Yaldo to discuss what the next step would be. I decided to go through with it, i want the surgery, i know the risks i need to try. i decided to go with the multi focal IOL lens in both eyes. if you are going to spend the money why not go all out right! so i set the date to do my left eye. this is my lazy eye (non dominant). i figured if this works i will have gotten the hard eye out of the way first, Dr Yaldo agreed. if it does not work well i did not mess with the eye i use 99 percent of the time. good logic right! i had the procedure done on Jan 10 2018. so at the time i am writing this review it has been over 2 months. I can not be happier, my vision is getting better every week. with my glasses on i had 20/70 vision. in just 2 months my vision is 20/60, so it is now better after the surgery and is still getting better. I have my Right eye slated to be done on Mar 21 2018 and i can not wait to see (get it) without glasses for the first time in my life. Dr Yaldo is now and will be my eye doctor, the care and patients he and his staff have are outstanding. sometimes you have to wait a little while to see a doctor in his office, however in what doctor/hospital setting do you not have to. I am being given a second chance and doing the thins i was not able to due to being a low vision person. take a chance and see MY doctor, you will not regret it. he will be upfront with you on what can or can not be done and he will leave it up to you. LASIK had always been something I talked about doing, but was nervous that I may not be a candidate or the many complications I had read about. After doing my research, I decided it was time take the plunge and schedule consultation. I had known people who spoke very highly of Dr. Yaldo, and decided this would be a great starting point. From the second I walked into the door for my consultation, I knew I was in good hands. The staff was very understanding of my concerns and assured me this was an excellent decision. The staff did a great job of explaining all of my options, the risks, the benefits and everything I needed to know for the day of and recovery. The procedure took under 15 minutes from the time I sat in the chair, until the time I sat up and could read the clock on the wall nearly perfect (without my glasses). Almost 4 months later and there is not a single complaint. If you are considering LASIK, I would highly recommend Dr. Yaldo and his staff!

This last week I had my second eye surgery for cataract removal multi-focal lens implants. I am very pleased with the results of the procedure and the treatment I have received over the course of the last 2 weeks. Initial results are exceptional. My evaluation for farsightedness was in Garden City, MI. The Staff was amazing with scheduling, examining and Q & A. My husband and I, are always greeted by name when we walk in. They educated me about everything and also warned me that due to my prescription, there may be a possibility that I would need a refinement. Naturally, I was very nervous the day of the surgery but everything went orderly and quickly. The compassion and kindness I received from Dr Yaldo and his staff while I was so nervous was beyond my expectations! Worst experience ever. After the "sale" follow up very bad, had a few problems ans was told to "let it work" after a while I had what I thought was a real problem, very sore eye, was told no problem. Dr Yaldo was very standoffish and talked down to me. No respect for patients as they routinely speak different languages among themselves. If they are truly American they would not be doing that.
