He did not address the concerns I had discussed with Monica nor did he write my prescription for my computer glasses. Of course I didn’t think about any of this until I arrived home. I may rethink my choice of a doctor next year

I picked University Eye Care PC after googling three different ophthalmologist names that my general eye doctor gave me to contact for cataract surgery. I picked Dr. Mark Rolain. I found him to be very professional, and very personable in dealing with his clients. Never rushed me and answered any questions that I might have had before, during or after the cataract surgery. The staff at both his office and the surgery center were great. Friendly and helpful, even when I originally called to set up the initial appointment the gal that made my appointment was very nice and police. At the surgery center while waiting to have my surgery, because it was a very chilly and windy day, they gave me a heated blanket to keep me warm. Follow up calls were made before surgery to make sure I had received my eye drops, to double check the date and time for my surgery and calls were also made after surgery to check on how I was feeling. The doctor and staff were very pleasant the day after the surgery when I went for my post op visit. If you are thinking of having cataract surgery and want a great doctor, by all means give Dr. Mark Rolain a call at University Eye Care.

Dr. Obertynski is my new Opthalmologist! I had been experiencing tearing, eye redness, and even blurred vision for about 6 weeks. After 3 unsuccessful appointments at Henry Ford Optimize, I called University Eye Care. Dr. Obertynski did a thorough exam and even managed to work me into her schedule for a Bleph-Ex procedure which has totally changed my symptoms. I am now on a new eye-care regime and couldn't be happier with the results. Also, Ashley is wonderful Assistant, very qualified and understanding. Great Office!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Rolain and University Eye Care for over 15 years. We have always felt confident with the professional attitude and medical expertise of Dr. Rolain and his staff. I have had two cataract surgeries/lens implants that went so smoothly I almost forget that I had them. The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable -- they even helped me pick out my new glasses frames this year!! All that said there is one other important thing that I must mention: University Eye Care is very organized, technologically savvy and runs with such efficiency that each time I am there I feel like I should take notes on how best to run my business. In a word: remarkable!

This is by far the worst place ive been in. The office staff is horribly rude. Do not waate your money on this place. Im sure there are much more welcoming and friendlier places who will taoe care of a person and not treat someone like a diseased cat.

After being a patient with another Doctor for 20 years, University Eye Care was a pleasant change.The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating.With all tests I was in and out in an hour and fifteen minutes.This was wonderful compared to the 4-5 hours at previous Opthomologist's office. Dr. Rolain is thorough and friendly. He has a great rapport with patients.He was recommended to me by friends who have gone to him for years.I highly recommend him and his staff.

Obertynski, MD, to ordering and picking up my new glasses, I am completely satisfied. All they care about is money. Charge for a no show when I called and cancelled, most places will let it go. Dr was rude. Went for months spent hundreds of dollars ad eye condition never got better. They wanted me to use the Lipiflow machine (costs a grand) and I couldn’t pay it so I continued on in pain with BLEPHARITIS I now see an AMAZING EYE DR WHO ISNT MONEY HUNGRY my BLEPHARITIS IS WAYYY BETTER. I would highly recommend him if you have this eye condition. He will give you MIBIFLOW for free as long as you are a patient. I do drive a bit to get there but it’s worth the long drive. MIBIFLOW is much cheaper and just as effective as lipiflow. Lipiflow is the name brand and they try to sell it bc it’s expensive. Very happy with MIBIFLOW treatments and supplements Dr Peters (Peters family eye care in Ohio) gives me. His brother also now has a practice in MI for MIBIFLOW. Don’t get ripped off at this place with Lipiflow for dry eyes.

My husband had been seeing an optometrist at a competing eye care facility who recommended he see an opthamologist. We spoke to our family doctor who then recommended Dr. Rolain. He diagnosed bi-lateral cataracts that were very aggressive in nature. His 1st surgery was in October 2016 & he has just completed his 2nd surgery as of this posting. Both surgeries were completely successful! Throughout the last year Dr. Rolain and his staff have been quick, timely, professional & amazingly efficient. My husband has said repeatedly during post-surgical follow-ups, "...The man is a dynamo!" He never rests, or stops his treatment until he is sure you can see well. We would both highly recommend University Eye Care to anyone in need & I am setting up my next optometry appointment with them!

I finally found a physician who helped my dry eye Sjogren symptoms. Dr. Obertynski is caring and concerned and went above and beyond to help me obtain Xiidra which was too expensive for me. She was the most knowledgeable and helpful of any eye physician I have seen. I also found the staff very courteous and helpful. Dr. Obertynski is a real gem!

The staff of UEC is very professional. Office is conveniently located with ample parking. Dr. Obertynski is wonderful! Caring, professional and dedicated. Very knowledgeable and up to date on the latest in eye health issues, especially regarding dry eye! I have had 99% improvement in my eye health since starting treatment at University Eye Care. I have enjoyed my visits with her, she is very knowledgeable and has answered all of my questions. I’ve been to University Eye Care 4 times and have had easy visits thanks to the wonderful staff and doctors! I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family! Also, the office is very easy to find! They are directly across the street from Troy Beaumont on the east side of Dequindre (Sterling Heights) through the Atrium doors (in the center of the building) and on the right side past the pharmacy.

I usually don't write reviews, but felt the need to this time. I went to go see Dr. Rolain for an eye check-up. This was my first time here and thought I would go here because of all the positive reviews. First of all, they had me wait a 1hr and 15 minutes just to see the doctor. Next, the doctor came in and shook my hand an gave me a business card. Which I thought was a bit strange, because obviously I know who the doctor is and already have his contact info. if I am at the office. After that, he was sitting in his chair and asking questions and he slammed the drawer of one of the cabinets in the exam room. I have sensitive hearing and this bothered my ears. He didn't even apologize. When he was about to open another drawer I told him politely to make sure he doesn't slam it and he got very defensive and said "I don't usually slam doors". He seemed inconsiderate to my concern and was vain in general. Also, on his way out he handed me another business card and on my way out of the office the receptionist handed me another business card. I have never had that happen to me at a doctors office before, and I believe it is because they are desperate for business. You clearly have the doctors info. if you are already at the office. I would absolutely never recommend going to this doctor, your time and money are best spent somewhere else.
