This eye doctor has been wonderful for myself & children. One child went to a different eye doctor & had a very quick eye exam. He was shown some images & prescribed glasses. I was underwhelmed at the doctors lack of care for my son. We never returned. A year later, my son had issues with his sight again. I took him to Holicki's office. They were very thorough & discovered he has small optic nerves. Upon further evaluations, it was also discovered this peripheral vision was not as it should be, and he is colorblind! My son spent 3 years in school having teachers tell him & me that he didn't follow directions while coloring his worksheets. He got in trouble & punished for "not following directions" when it turns out, he was colorblind! The other doctor failed to perform this simple test, but Holicki took the time to ensure my son a thorough eye exam. My daughter had issues where her eye would roll back or go black suddenly. It was discovered that she was having ocular migraines. My husband went to see Holicki today. Due to another thorough eye exam, it was discovered that my husband has the start of glaucoma in his eye. This was missed by yet another eye doctor. I would love to give Holicki a 5 star rating, but, because of unforeseen circumstances our family was forced to apply for medicaid & can no longer continue our much needed eye visits in his office. If his office accepted Medicaid, so our family could still get the proper eye care they needed, I would absolutely give 5 stars in a heartbeat! Now my son can no longer get the required yearly exams that he needs to ensure his optic nerves are growing as they should, and to keep watch for possible glaucoma development in his eyes as he gets older. The same goes for my husband who had to pay out of pocket today for his exam. He couldn't purchase new glasses, (his are broken & his prescription changed) because he used the last of what he had for the exam. Unfortunately, my daughter can no longer see out of her glasses, and now has to try to find another eye doctor because of insurance issues.
