Dr. Ho seemed very skilled an takes great care with his work. What I did not like was the fact that this office had many 'hidden fees'. To start, they give you the option of getting your eyes dilated (free) or using a new machine to get images taken (for ~$50). I've never seen added fees for this type of thing and haven't ever gotten my eyes dilated (I typically get the puff of air) so I opted out of this procedure. While they seemed hesitant to this, I was able to just ask "if it is mandatory, and if not, please allow me to opt out". I recommend doing so as well if you are comfortable with your eye health. Second, they had some additional contact lens fee on my bill that I have never paid at my prior eye care provider. This feels a bit like a hidden fee that insurance wont cover, but at $70 its not going to break the bank. Overall, this place was fine. The staff seemed knowledgeable and the appointment was quick, I would just be careful about hidden fees. Personally, I will look elsewhere where my doctor will feel less inclined to nickel and dime me.

No need for dilation! In addition to being prompt and informative, Dr. Ho explained to me that the office has a machine which can photograph your retina - meaning you don't need to get your eyes dilated and lose half the day waiting for your vision to come back! There is a *fee* for this machine because insurance doesn't cover it, but for me it was an easy sell.

My daughter and I went to see Dr. Ho for her appointment with him. He was excellent. He did a very careful examination and explained things to us in great details. We strongly recommend him.
