I went to NewtonEye for the first time last week. They were able to give me an appointment with only a week's notice. When I went into the office, the front desk staff was nice. The assistant began to run the preliminary tests before my appointment time, which was nice because it meant less time wasted sitting around. The eye doc was good about explaining how my eyes were dry and she made me comfortable. The gentlemen that helped me pick out my frames were HILARIOUS! They were making me laugh and were great at being honest about which frames fit me best (instead of saying "yes" to each one, they said things like "I don't know that I like the edges of those..." etc. Overall, awesome experience and I will continue to go to NewtonEye.

When Dr. Soll had advised me that I most likely needed cataract surgery, he took the time and effort to describe the cause and effects of the cataracts Subsequently, he reviewed the list of surgeons I gave him that my insurance covered and he indicated those with whom he was familiar with and would recommend. Now, after the cataract surgeries, I am getting glasses via Dr. Soll. I would highly recommend Dr.Soll to anyone without hesitation.

I was charged $40 extra for program I don't need. Here is the story: I was told to bring my previous description, otherwise it would be $40 more. I didn't quite know why but I brought it with me. My eye condition doesn't change much as the result suggested, and I told the doctor I want the same contact lens which I've been using for 3 years. However at the end of the exam, the doctor gave me the same contact lens and asked me put them on, WITHOUT informing me that's the so called "Contact Lens Progress Evaluation", and there was NO evidence suggested that I need a re-evaluation. The contact lens are exactly the ones I've been using for the last 3 years, and I ended up paying $40 for a pair of them (true price is much much much less than that).

Your website for the survey is confusing. Why do we need a map to show us where the office is if we've been there several times. I clicked on he button for Excellent service and then the map occurred full screen. When I went back to click on "I highly recommend . . . " nothing happened. Your service is better than your website for the survey. Great! Now I can't click on "Post." . . . only on "cancel." Gee! Now I figured out I have to click on the stars above so I can see "Post." Are you trying to control the review??????????

Horrible experience. Receptionist was extremely rude and her tone was very unprofessional when dealing with us. I could NOT find parking, as this is our first time coming here. I was 14 minutes late and told the receptionist I was just looking for parking. She said they have a 15 minute late policy (14 minutes late and was in the parking lot for over 5). When I walked in, she said the doctor is already seeing another patient, which does NOT make sense since each patient should be seen for AT LEAST 30 minutes. I asked the receptionist to please ask the doctor if we could be seen now since my glasses broke and I need them to work and I fell within their late policy. The receptionist (an older woman) was the LEAST understanding person, displaying ZERO empathy. She instead REPRIMANDED my mother and I for being late by making passive aggressive comments such as, “I make sure to leave my house early to get to work because of traffic”. I explained to her I drove over 40 minutes from Dedham (a close town) and knew there would be traffic. In addition, as a medical student I am APPALLED by the professionalism displayed here as this is not how doctor’s offices should treat any patient in the slightest. I will be telling my community to stay away from this place. In addition, the receptionist needs to be told to be more kind to patients, as she is steering patients away from this place.

NEWTONeye is one of the best doctor's office's I have been to in a long time. The staff are friendly, engaging, and take the time to explain things that I may not be knowledgeable about. They are also incredibly generous with trying different brands of contacts. Clearly they are more interested in the patient's comfort than selling a product. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new eye doctor.
