Dr. Kahan is awesome ! I took my very nervous 5 year old daughter there for a full eye test and then, for glasses. He was so great with my daughter and was so helpful with very step. Very thorough, so sweet and so knowledgeable. The ladies in the office were very nice and helped my daughter pick out glasses. So happy we found Dr Kahan!

Have always been indifferent about eye exams but Bay State Eye changed my mind. Dr Kahan did the exam for my wife and I and made it very enjoyable. The staff was excellent and was happy to special order my frames and even gave my wife multiple samples of different color contacts. I have already recommended them to my friends and family, even the ones without glasses.

Called to set up a first time visit the lady on the phone was really nice. I called back to reschedule the appointment and the guy that answered the phone was rude very unprofessional like he was in a rush to hang up with me. Called about a week later to schedule the appointment I believe same guy picked up the phone had me on hold for 5 minutes to tell me I had to call back the next day cause his server was down. Taking my service some where else......

I can not say enough about Dr Kahan and his amazing staff. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out. I've been a patient of Dr Kahan s for more than 10 years and highly recommend Bay state eye. So many of my friends became pts as well and love him as well. Jacki and I had a great visit today, amazing music, surprise fire inspection lol and oh yes we can see again

I've been going to Baystate Eye Associates/Dr. Kahan yearly since 2009. He and his staff are very friendly and professional. The exams are quick but seem thorough. Dr. Kahan does like to talk about his family and sometimes takes out photos forgetting you don't have your contact lenses in, lol. Usually you can get an appointment within one to two weeks of calling. They also have a good selection of frames and lenses and offer referrals for LASIK to a practice in Waltham if you are a good candidate. You can buy contact lenses directly from the office or if you order from someone online I've never had a problem verifying my prescription. They also will price match contact lenses prices from other retailers if you bring in a printout of the lower price.

The most unhelpful people I ever met. Glasses broke it was over a year so its my loss I would never go there again a waste of time and money. It took 9 times back to get glasses the first time.

I have always liked this optometrist until recently. My insurance ran out and I had a contact rip. Unfortunately I dont have glasses so I called and asked for an appointment. The soonest appointment was 2 weeks out. I asked if they could provide me a trial pair of contacts to get me to my appointment. The receptionist said "You dont order your contacts thru us so we cant help you." I work in the services industry and if my very own Optometrist isnt willing to help me with a single pair of contacts to get me thru to when they have their next availability then I question how much they care about their patients.

I went with my wife for an appointment with Doc. David Kahan and we were impressed by his knowledge and the service at the place. Since the arrival in the office until the consultancy to buy new glasses, everything ran smoothly and we have all information we need. Fair price and a great service.

Been going to Baystate Eye for years. Absolutely love Dr Khan!! Tom is very pleasant and helpful; however some staff members lack customer service skills. I purchased some non prescription glasses Thursday night and paid for overnight shipping. Glasses didn't arrive till Monday. Tom was very helpful in keeping me up to date with the status of my order and even offered different options for pick up in the case I couldn't pick up before the store closed. I was able to pick up the glasses 10 minutes before closing. When I show up, I give the women at the front desk my name, she puts the box containing the glasses on the desk and that was pretty much it! I wasn't asked to try them on to see if I needed them to be tighten, nor was I even given a bag. I wasn't even asked to check them on to confirm those were the glasses I ordered. I simply just walk out to not lose my cool but when I get home, of course the glasses need to be a bit tighten! I called today to speak to Tom and unfortunely he's not in on Tuesdays. I've shopped at other opticals for frames and I'm always asked for fitting, prescription or not and the fact that I wasn't even given a bag made things even more upsetting, especially being a frequent customer! Not sure if I'll be purchasing anymore from this establishment!

Doctor was nice. I really hate the customer service. The receptionists were extremely unprofessional and gave me lots of attitude. For a first timer here, I am quite disappointed and I believe I will not be giving them business anymore.

Very disappointed in the office...not the doctor. I went for an appointment on 11/13 at 4:30. Wasn't seen until 4:50, without even an acknowledgement from the staff. The doctor was very friendly and quite nice. After purchasing my two pairs of glasses, I was told they would be ready by Thurs/Fri of the following week. Today, 11/23 I called to check on the status and was told they were ready. I went to the office at lunch to grab them only to be told that only 1 pair was ready and they couldn't tell me when the others would be finished ("maybe Tuesday or Wednesday"). UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Absolutely terrible.

I was really pleased with my eye exam Dr. Kahn was very thorough and friendly, after the eye exam I sat with with of his employee, I gave her the two glasses I had, the girl told me the lenses will be under warranty but not the glasses, that was find with me because I take care of my glasses, when I went back to pick up my 2nd pair of glasses I ask the girl to adjust the first pair(tommy hilfiger) only 1 year old, I pick up I had them only for 2 day and she broke them, she said good thing this happen here we can order you new lenses with no charge but you would need to pay 69.00 towards the glasses, she gave me two boxes to pick from, I think they were used glasses or donation. Why would I need to pay when it was her fault that she broke them, they shouldve replaced them for free.
