This was my first visit to AVC and I was very impressed by the knowledgeable and courteous staff. Dr. Katz was great and I felt very comfortable with her; her support staff (I dealt mostly with Abbey for scheduling my appt., Anastasia at check-in, & Peter for my frames/lenses) were also wonderful. After a mediocre experience at my last eye exam (at a provider in Boston), I'm really happy to have found AVC in Swampscott.

Extremely overprice, I went there with a private vision insurance and ended paying $270 for regular glasses, no designer frame, anything fancy. Staff is great and doctors ok, but their prices are sky high.

The Advanced Vision Center office is full of modern equipment to measure your vision and pinpoint problems, the staff is excellent, and Dr Katz is a caring and thorough-going physician. I highly recommend this practice.

A great place for optometric services! So pleased with the service at every step of my first visit to Advanced Vision Center. Alexandra greeted me and did the preliminary exams, followed by Dr. Cassandra Mark's very thorough and professional exams . Dr. Mark both welcomed and fully answered all of my questions and I felt in really good hands . When I moved into the area a few years ago I went on the search for a new eye doctor. Although, this place isn't too close I am very glad I gave them a try, and its totally worth the drive each time. The entire staff is fantastic, in fact Dr. Katz is my favorite eye doctor, and this is from someone who has had 33 years of eye doctor visits. I also love how this place uses the latest and greatest technology. My recent trip I purchased a new pair of prescription sunglasses. Their prices are competitive and I they did an excellent job fitting them for me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Mark and the staff were really great! They have a high tech retina camera so I didn't need to be dilated, which was a first for me. The rest of my exam was very thorough and Dr. Mark confidently and comfortably addressed my concerns and explained test results. The staff were very helpful with picking a pair of Oliver Peoples that I love!

Wonderful place! Cassandra gave me a very through exam, the perfect balance of state-of-the-art equipment and old school bedside manner. Everyone there is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The inventory is curated by Sherry who has her finger on the pulse of the latest looks and designers. It’s also manageable from a shopper’s point of view. She buys from premium vendors, her selections covering the eyeglass gamut without being overwhelming. Because I love being there I stop in (too?) frequently for tuneups. Check them out, I know they’ll be happy to see you!

I had a bad experience here once and was ready to move to a different Dr. but I was very impressed with how they handled the situation. The doctor called me personally (while on vacation) and expressed how sorry she was about the experience and was very eager to make it right with me. She explained how she wanted everyone who comes in to feel like family. When I went back in they were courteous and took the time explain some things I hadn't understood before. They were able to turn a negative experience into a positive one and I think it goes to show how much they appreciate their patients.
