Make sure you check that your insurance covers both the physician's office and the optical shop. My insurance provider only covered the physician's visit. It would of taken the lousy sales woman at the optical shop 1 minute to pull up my information and see they were not in network. Instead she only cared about the sale. I needed Rx glasses and separate Rx sunglasses and I new the cost was going to be up there and sure enough the sales woman rung me up to the total of over $800.00 and the insurance only covered $93 because of the optical shop being out of network. I could of gotten the same two pairs of glasses, same brand and all the same gimmicky upgrades through an online retailer that partners with my insurance for a fraction of the cost I paid at the VA eye center's optical shop. I accept part of the blame for not checking with my insurance but I am sure so could of the sales woman, if she cared more about the customers than how much she could get people to spend! Will never do business with them again!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I had an appt for 8:15am and while en route, I received a call at 8:09am that they need to reschedule the appt because I should've been there at 8am since I am a new patient and it will take 20 minutes to fill out 4 pages and then they need time to input it into the system. I told the receptionist that I was 3 minutes away, putting me there at 8:12 (still arriving before my scheduled appt time) and that it would not take me 20 minutes to fill out 4 pages. She insisted that they needed the time for the paperwork. I told her to just cancel the appt and I'll find someone else. Most ridiculous thing I've heard where a patient would arrive BEFORE the scheduled appt time and yet the office still has an issue with it. If they want new patients to arrive 15 minutes prior, they need to make the appt for 15 minutes prior!!! Don't waste your time at this place.
