Where do I even begin...? I’d give negative stars if possible. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here.
I spent 3.5 hours in this office. I was forgotten for at least half of the time I was there.
I have an eye disease, which requires being seen by a dr that specializes in this. Usually the actual doctor does my eye exam, and at the end of the visit I am given a prescription, or if a new RX isn’t needed, I’m at least given that info.
On my visit to this office, a tech did my “eye exam”. He was not equipped on any level to do an eye exam on someoene with vision as poor as mine. At one point he brought another tech in who was unable to preform the exam, but did tell the tech that sometimes on prescriptions as high as mine you “just can’t get there”. At this point I was put into a hallway with many other people. The woman next to me was literally asleep, and snoring. Finally after over an hour I was brought into the topography room, where the man operating the machine slammed the machine into my face multiple times (he did apologize after I called him out on how to properly operate his equipment, but still...). Then I was put into ANOTHER HALLWAY. I sat here for quite a while until a doctor called me in (not the dr I was there to see). She admitted to me that other charts had been put in front of mine, and that it was a “crazy day”. She looked at my eyes, and then I was asked to wait for the dr I had scheduled with to come in. When he got to my door he inquired why a patient in at the time of my arrival still hadn’t been seen. He saw me briefly, said my eye health looked fine, and that he doesn’t do contact prescriptions, and I’d need to see the office optometrist. (I require a specialist...!!!). He dilated my eyes, I went to the dreaded hallway again... and was called in a bit later by yet a third dr. He looked at my eyes and had me wait yet again for the dr I had scheduled with.
So after 3.5 hours, I walked out of this place furious and with no actual prescription or help. I took time off of work to be there. Oh and... while I was in the hallway waiting for my eyes to dilate, I had to listen to all of them talk about how mad they’d be if they were me. Seriously?!! Any level of professionalism anywhere here..???
This is the most mismanaged place I’ve ever been to. Go to Hopkins, or even Walmart, as someone above suggested, I’m sure it’d be a better experience.
