Kids eye care has excellent customer service, great professionalism and wonderful environment. The atmosphere is very welcoming. My daughter can be so reserved when she is among people she does not know. But when she got to the kids eye care at maple Lawn Blvd she was so excited and played around till she was done with her treatment. SHE WAS JUST REFUSING TO GO HOME AFTER BEING CARED FOR. That is so unusual with my daughter. I was also satisfied with the treatment and service they rendered us. We felt special. Thanks to all the staffs at MAPLE LAWN for offering great service to our children. You are wonderful and we are grateful to you all.

We had to go to Frederick because the Rockville location didn’t have any openings. I’m putting one star because I can’t put zero stars. This was a horrible experience. I wouldn’t wish this on somebody that I didn’t like. The waiting room was miserable. I know this is not the practices’ fault, but there was a very sick mom and a very sick child coughing and snotting all over. The room just felt really dirty. The receptionist was complaining about how other people are making stupid decisions about some postcards or something. She was complaining the whole time about stuff that was going on and calling people and complaining to other people I’m guessing in the office. It was uncomfortable. The place just seemed really grimy. The doctor seemed pretty good, but after waiting there so long for my sons eyes the dialate, by the time I saw him I was pretty much thouroughly irritated. I will never go back to this practice. I hope my son doesn’t get sick from being in that disgusting room and using the disgusting looking eye machines they had.

We’ve been going here since our daughter was born and every visit has been great. We feel the staff and Dr. Glasser truly care about our daughter’s wellbeing. It was my son's first visit to the eye doctor. He is four and usually has a hard time with doctors. I was amazed at the technology and therapy they used on him. He went into the visit like a big boy and I am so proud of him. First visit was 2 hours but we were warned and got brunch in between our wait. The doctor was informative and handled my son like a true professional. Looking forward to my next visit.

Over two hour waiting time with my young son before seen by the Doctor, when I was told by the technician/assistance I should not be waiting long. I wanted to leave but I've had paid the co-pay for a follow up, and I just paid a copay at the same office two days ago. Unacceptable, expecially with child. I would have rated a one star but I understand that there was only one doctor on staff today, which was crazy for the amount patients in the office. Looks like they over book.

Honestly the Dr. is rude and we are always waiting an hour in the waiting room. I have to bring my autistic child with me to my older sons appointments and the doctor was very rude towards my younger son because he was making noise. The doctor seems to have no patience and covers up his rude behavior with dry humor. The waiting room is filthy and the toys look like they have never been cleaned. The receptionists do not act professional at all.

This was my first visit and I be sure not to come back again. First, the office is dirty, dust around the furniture, old stained chairs from long ago. Then some broken decrepit and dirty never cleaned toys for the poor kids who are made to wait in a very bright with fluorescent lights waiting rooms with dialated eyes for longer than 1 hour after dialation. Ridiculously long waiting time. Old equipment that don't seem very clean. Huge mistake to come here because they take my insurance. Never again.

We are lucky to have a Ophthalmologist like Dr. Jennifer Luck for my son Smaranjeet Basu, who was born with Down Syndrome and with Cross Eyes and had a surgery to correct the issue at age 4. But now he is 31 yrs. old and need another surgery to correct his cross eyes. Dr. Glaser and Dr. luck jointly performed the surgery at Shady Grove Hospitals and corrected his problem. It was done so well that he can now see and do many things that we never expected that he will ever do it. We are grateful to both the doctors for giving him a new life that we thought he would never have. - Parents

Took my 4 year old for an exam and had a great experience with Dr. Guretzky. I highly recommend them. It was easier than I thought! Update: It's been two weeks since our appointment. I couldn't be happier with my son's vision improvement. We were able to get a diagnostic, went with the glasses she recommended and have seen the difference it's made for my son. He really needed them. Highly recommend her!

No bathroom for customers at the office. No way to change a baby diaper. I found one doctor to not be empathetic or personable in any way. So we switched to see Dr. Glaser and was so thankful we did. Do not go with any other doctor... make your appointment with Dr. Glaser and your baby will be much happier.

Be aware they charge $90 extra if you have not been seen within 3 years. The doctors know what they are doing, but boy, did I get a rude call from Dr. Glaser, who told me that we are being discharged by his practice, since I told him that my daughter did not get any more services than my son but her visit is being charged $90 more. Instead of trying to get my point or apologizing and saying this is our policy, or even saying we'll put it in our paperwork to let patients know, he flatly said, we'll discharge you from our practice. I am sure that my son and my daughter did not get any different service that day, except for the doctor saving time to see two kids at the same time. I found the interaction/ his call very unprofessional.

We LOVE Kids Eye Care! I was nervous for my children because they are young and don't understand all the medical "stuff" that happens in a doctor's office. But Kids Eye Care was fantastic, inviting, and friendly! Loved the blocks in the waiting room and the PBS Kids playing on tv. The doctor explained everything in very kid-friendly language to reduce any nerves. My only recommendation is to have a few more toys and things to do for the children while in the waiting room during the 45 minute wait while their pupils are dilating. But other than that it was really A+ treatment!!!

Great group of eye doctors. My daughter has been in their care since 2009. Dr. Glazer did surgery on both of her eyes for strabismus and my daughter has been problem free since then (2009). We continue to go there for comprehensive eye exams. They are very patient with anxious children which is a huge plus. Be sure to call well in advance for appointments as they book out months ahead.

I called to schedule an appointment for my three kids. Though, if you work and would like to take all your kids (more than two) at the same time to avoid taking off work so much; you cannot get an appointment per the scheduler for the same day; even if the schedule permits. She told me per policy they can only see two of my kids. I would have to make an appointment another day for the other child. Never asked their age or anything. Mine you my kids are 12, 11, and 9. I don't understand their policy, but for that reason I scheduled an appointment at another Ophthalmologist. I rate them a three because I'm nice.

We were not told that Kids Eye Care would not perscribe contact lenses. When I made the appointment I said it was for glasses and contacts. We drove 45 minutes to the appointment only to be told that is not the case. I don't understand why an eye care doesn't provide full eye care. The doctor who did give my child a prescription for eye glasses was wonderful. We enjoyed our visit with her and she was so lovely with my daughter.

Can not say enough about EVERYONE in Dr. Waeltermann’s office. The receptionist to the nurse (?) who did our initial screening to Dr. Waeltermann herself were just excellent; warm and friendly and answered all my questions. They were wonderful with my new 4yo - he didn’t even make a fuss over putting drops in his eyes - and I never once felt rushed in our conversations which I think patients feel all too often at a drs office. My husband and I lamented that it’s the KIDS eye center and that we can’t go for our adult eye care!
